Overall I had a good time at Watermans. My friends and I started the night out having dinner here and stayed at our table once the going out crowd started filing in. The drinks prices were pretty typical. A friend and I left the group to add more money into our parking meter. When we came back there was a line to get in. We did not mind waiting in line until multiple people kept coming up to the bouncer and getting let in before us. We told him we had a tab open and were already at a table but he would not let us in. He let one big group of about 15 people in before us because he said "they come here every week." There were only 5 people in line at this point, yet these people still felt compelled to cut and the bouncer allowed it. When we finally got back in I was so turned off by how overly crowded the place had gotten that we left shortly.

Tried Watermans with a friend, it has outdoor seating which gives you a view of the pier and the ocean, and plenty of inside seating that has a ton of big TVs. The wait staff was friendly, but not attentive. No one checked with us on the food was after it was delivered nor did they chec to see if we needed drink refills. We sat outside, and at one point a staff member brought over a trash can and set it up about two feet away from my friend. The smell of the trash liner was strong, and it was super unappetizing to have them start dumping trash in the barrel right next to my friend. Is this even within code? We had to ask them to move the trash barrel. Portions were large, but flavour only standard. Patrons behind us were sneaking hits off a THC vape while drinking...

The food is good with the exception being the happy hour tacos. Not good at all. Everything else Ive had has been great. The party really gets started around 10:30pm when the place gets packed. The bouncer Tim has arbitrarily decided a couple times that my friends were too drunk to enter which I didnt appreciate at all (because it wasnt true). I guess hes just trying to do his job but weve gone to the lighthouse next door the last few times instead because of that. Im sure well eventually go back when were done being butt hurt. I think well stick to the daytime though.

On this visit I ordered three Absolut drinks for friends: 1) Greyhound, 2) Lemonade and 3) Punch. I had a taste of all three drinks and were yummy. There were plenty of bartenders at the bar and they were dispatching drinks quickly. Friendly too. I did not have time to try their food, but I did munch on their free chips and salsa. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise, there is an art to making salsa - and the red salsa was great. This salsa was enhanced by the addition of black beans and avocado chunks.

Why am I not suprised on the less than average reviews of this place. When I called to speak to a manager I was given the third degree by the bartender Eva. Hopefully its drinks are better than its attitude. After my inquiry with the real manager Kyle the phone call ended very quickly and rude like. A thumbs down for cust svc on this fine establishment.

Went there for Sunday Brunch. Breakfast is listed as available until 1pm. The waitress informed us that they had stopped serving breakfast before we arrived, at 11:45. They had run out of champagne for the bottomless mimosas by that time as well. So what was supposed to be a boozy and fun Sunday brunch turned into a plain lunch of sandwiches and cheap beer.

Great location, just steps away from the Hermosa Beach Pier. Drinks are decently priced for the location and the crowd is generally younger and energetic. Close proximity to other bars and no cover charge make this an ideal place to stop in for a drink or three if in the Hermosa area.

Taco Tuesday is great but the staff isnt. Ive been here 4 times and the staff has continued to be not so nice and very very slow. They also should choose different life music or not have it at all because its never been very good. The atmosphere is fun and chill.

If one is looking for a cool place for the evening , or a special bar , there is no better place than the Watermans. Great atmosphere in a very cool location, friendly staff and none for high prices. If one is in Hermosa, one should call in there absolutely.

I love to come here on weekdays for early lunch, a generous well-balanced and fresh meal out front in the sea air. Im on exotic holiday when I do this, with a nice cold Heineken to set the mood. Really. Day staff always friendly, helpful, and spirited.

Theyve recently leveled out their dining area. I havent been on a "party night" in a while so I dont know how the band is set up but it seems like there will be plenty more room than there used to be once you push the tables to the sides.

On a restaurant /bar row, the food stands out here. The fish was superb, and healthy. Remarkable. The sports bigscreens also easy to watch, and a good range of seating. *Slightly* expensive menu but there are deals & happy hour specials.

Watermans is the go-to spot for NFL Sunday. Plenty of TVs to keep up with fantasy football, great beer prices, $12 bottles for mimosas, fresh chip & salsa bar and friendly & attentive waitresses. So happy I found this place!
