I have lived in Hermosa Beach for 20 years and walked into North End on Tuesday night after the Lakers unfortunately lost the NBA Finals to meet some friends. I sat patiently at the bar for 20 minutes and tried to order a beer. I watched as one bartender kept on doing shots with a few patrons, another one was walking around with his head cut off like a chicken ( I called at him a view times but alas to no avail) and the 3rd bartender was ringing up receipts and she kept on telling me to hold on every 5 minutes.You know how it feels..... When someone knows you want service but avoids eye contact. I call it the MORON effect. I finally got up and left with my friends. One of the worst displays of service I have ever received. Avoid this place. I felt like I was at a stuck up Bar.I promptly went to Blue 32 and then Patrick Molloys and had prompt and courteous service.

Burger was great, but the female bartender was terrible. The on tap beer was a bit flat as well. The server didnt know the specials. Answered questions with one word answers, never asked how my food or drink was, didnt have any sort of conversation. The male bartender who wasnt even my server even asked if everything was good and he seemed like a good employee. The girl however only paid attention to her other girlfriend sitting at the bar having a great time with her while ignoring the needs of customers. April 22 2:30 dark haired employee.

Ive never actually eaten at North End so I cant say one way or another how the food is, but its a cool little neighborhood bar in a part of town without too much other than this and El Gringo across the street. Its a very good place to watch sports with more TVs than I can count and a very cool "locals" feel to it.

Solid Hermosa bar. Its distance from all the other bars at the Pier is a good thing since most tourists probably wont wander this far North. Then again, if youre reading this, you are probably a tourist. In any case, bring some quarters for Ms.Pacman [nom nom nom nom] C • • • • •

Awesome. Needed quarters for the meter before I could stay. Bartender was super cool about it. When I came back in service was great and the steak, mushroom and jalapeño quesedilla was fantastic. Drinks were well made. Will definitely be back.

If youre an LA kings hockey fan, this is your spot. Popular with the kings players there, you will often spot them there. A mixture of locals and beachgoers, it is a dive bar with music, lots of seats, and variety of alcohol.

Awesome local spot, been here forever, and has all the typical drinks/grub youd expect in a place like this. Great vibe and all the locals are here. Its not too fancy but thats exactly what this place is about!
