A place like this really deserves 5 stars, so why did I give it 2? Ive been going to Shed once every month or so since it opened. Id go for specialty cooking items, delicious cuts of meat, picnic supplies for a day at the river, gift ideas etc. Up until the last two visits to Shed, I had had a great and memorable experience and would often tell friends and family that they "must go" to Shed if they were in Healdsburg. My last visit to Shed was similar to my second to last visit to Shed, in that the staff roundly ignored me and my out-of-town guests and were all but flat-out annoyed by any normal request made by myself or my guests. Im not expecting the world, and I dont think Im unrealistic, but even one moment of eye contact and some simple customer service niceties would have gone so much further than being made to feel that I was rudely interrupting the (not busy at all) baristas day by asking for a latte. Really? Not even a little response huh? At this last visit I was happily showing off Shed to my out-of-town guests (as I usually do) and spending money buying things I probably dont need (as I usually do) - when I went to open the door to the larder, a cold-room that I have personally walked into on several occasions to grab things I wanted to buy. After all, everything in the larder is for sale and has a price on it. It was at this point that I opened the larder door to see if there was something I wanted when a staff member of Shed yelled at me (rudely and loudly) from across the room that the larder was for employees only and that I should "Shut the door!" Lets be clear. There is no sign anywhere near or on the larder door that says anything about the larder being for employees only. There never has been. Which is why Ive been in there before and handpicked things from the larder before. I wasnt going to argue with the staff member who was either over-caffienated or just plain hyped, but was most-certainly rude. So my guests and I left, and on the way to our next location my guests couldnt stop talking about how rudely they had been treated throughout the entire visit and how they wouldnt go back to Shed. Further, they expressed surprise that I would go to any establishment that would treat a paying customer as an inconvenience. I agreed with them. I dont know if Ill go back to Shed. Maybe if Im in the mood to be treated poorly and pay too much for overpriced kitchenware or meats and cheeses, all of which can be purchased locally at better prices, with a lot less attitude. Grow up Shed.

I love SHED. Its my favorite store in Healdsburg -- possibly my favorite north of San Francisco. Come here for inspiration -- they stock beautiful kitchen and gardening supplies and theyre always switching up their decor. When I lived in the area, I tried to stop by every other month to see what was new. It was also a favorite place for me to find gifts. SHED is a little spendy, but they do an incredible job sourcing interesting products. I also appreciate their support of local, high quality products (although they sell plenty of international goods as well). I think its well worth supporting a store like this in order to keep it running. The internet has everything, but it doesnt fill your soul with goodness the moment you enter it. This store does. When I dont feel like spending much at SHED, I pick up a soy latte and some vegan-friendly prepared foods at their counter. Im not kale obsessed, but their kale salad is incredible. I also recommend picking up crackers in the store and a spread at the counter and sitting outside with your coffee at their picnic tables. And if youre less DIY, they have a tiny restaurant inside. Just writing this review is making me miss SHED. I cant wait to be back in the area to pay it a visit!

The Shed is a Cafe a Market and a Community Gathering Place all rolled up into an experience of growing, preparing, sharing and eating awesome wholesome food. In a hurry? Dont worry they offer quick take away. Have time to savor everything? Pull up a chair and relax, inside, outside or a little of both! Love the vibe, people, and the harmony of this perfectly curated master piece!

Wow - I could easily drop a thousand dollars here in 30 minutes. I dont think I saw a single thing that didnt scream to me YOU NEED THIS. The sandwiches are amazing. The fermentation bar is out of a dream. The spices, gardening implements, home fermentation kits, sling shots, could fill a second house. Will definitely be coming back, minus over-imbibed family-in-law.

Very trendy, and expensive, however I love the focus on quality. The owner have selected few products for their quality and placed lots of effort into the display and details. You will find coffee next to gardening tools, next to a brochiuto sandwich. It is surprising, but it works beautifuly. We have not tried the restaurant but they assemble beautiful fresh salads.

This place truly accomplishes its mission of "bringing us closer to the way we grow, prepare, and share our food" and is a must stop if you are anywhere nearby. Everything is artfully curated and presented with so much TLC. Prices are high, but that is not a surprise considering the level of care and quality evident throughout.

I love this place but this time it felt a bit overpriced. The seating in the back was fine, but a bit closed in (I wanted to sit outside but was told I cannot be served the menu outside in the front of the building). I had the rabbit and it was at best luke warm. The bread, sparkling water, coffee were good.

Quite the selection of food and drink in an artisan farm to table setting. Great coffee drinks, nicely stocked deli with select charcuterie, fermentation bar with ciders, kombucha, beer, wine, and shrubs as well as restaurant fare. Great for a quick bite and to rummage thru their carefully curated goods .

The SHED is a unique treasure. Part higher end cafe, part deli, part expresso bar, part high end kitchenware, part fermented drinks bar, and an active activities space on the second floor. The cafe menu is very creative, always locally grown and very fresh. A real treat!

Make time to go here not only for the food but the gift shop. Youll need a reservation, order all the things you think you shouldnt and buy a book or a handmade fly swatter. Loved the staff, the food, the delicious shrub drink and the lighting in here was a delight!

Take my money! This place was amazing. Food was superb. Speed there just about every day, if for nothing more than a lavender latte. Coffee, baked goods, charcuterie, cheeses, home goods, table linens. Priced a little high, but everything seemed of good quality.

Fantastic farm to table fare. Honestly, the SHED salad with smoked trout was the best salad Ive ever had. The cold smoked salmon was amazing. As was the homemade kombucha. Highly recommended to anyone in the area who wants a meal that will make you feel good.

We didnt eat here — we just purchased a few things; however, the experience was wonderful from wares to service. Next time were in town, well definitely pull over at their cafe and hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer in order to enjoy the balcony.
