The Barndiva Team, Our Wedding Day, May 24, 2014 - Barndiva, Healdsburg, CA. Let us say that your incredible team delivered nothing short of excellence on our most special day! We are also in the upscale restaurant industry and can appreciate how difficult it is to take such good care of 200+ guests on any day, albeit a wedding day. From our first intimate brunch at Barndiva, through the many fabulous dinners that followed, to our most important day, we have felt the love and care you have for your guests. The tasteful, brilliant design of your restaurant and art gallery, as well as the way you make everything flow together, creates a truly amazing guest experience. OMG your Chef Ryan is the best! He and his team delivered a dining experience that exceeded expectations! Wow, what fabulous work, we THANK YOU!!! The team - Lukka, Liberty, Fatimah, Dawid and Mariola did so much with such love to assure us a wonderful time. Everyone performed their individual tasks and brought their talents in unique and special ways - we are still so appreciate of this many months later! We have only one regret - we wish you had just told us the day we chose to have our wedding at Barndiva, that every detail, every last touch would be attended to. We just didn’t realize that we had nothing to worry about! We actually could relax (as much as possible) and enjoy our wedding day. When we arrived the day before the wedding, we were greeted so warmly, with such enthusiasm by your fabulous team. Our friends and family, and we, were so impressed. You are all truly sophisticated, yet down-to-earth, beautiful, bright people who we are truly honored to know and call friends, and to have shared a once-in-a-lifetime event with! Our most heartfelt thank you and appreciation!! Cheers, Natalie & Andrew Welch

My husband and I got married last Fall and it was absolutely the best day ever. The minute I saw Barndiva, I knew it was the venue for us. I really liked the elegant outdoor space and loved the rustic vibe of the studio. It felt unique and special; more so than a standard wedding venue. Our ceremony took place in the gorgeous courtyard directly behind the restaurant. We had dinner under the stars in another outdoor space, then guests gathered in the studio for dancing. It’s a brilliant setup because not only is it stunning, but there’s no interference between the restaurant (which stays open to the public) and the wedding. It was also comforting to know that had the weather not cooperated, there was an option to move everything indoors. We enjoyed delicious food, outstanding service, and an all-around perfect evening. Natalie was delightful to work with leading up to the big day. We had a great time at our wedding and received tons of positive comments from guests as well. Thank you, Barndiva, for making our wedding day so special! We look forward to visiting again for dinner and anniversary celebrations.

We went for lunch today with a party of six, the food took over an hour to arrive from when we got there, despite the dining room not being full and and increasingly fewer people as we waited. Perhaps this is normal here, because the waiter seemed oblivious to the fact,. No "Im sorry its taking so long, let me check on the kitchen" - our water was not even topped up during this time. The management seemed oblivious as well, I cant think of another restaurant I have been in where if you are at your table for an hour with no food the host would not have come over and checked in. Ten minutes after being told our food was just coming I threatened to leave in two minutes - which seemed to finally prompt them in to action! By that time we were so hungry, it didnt really matter what it tasted like. Still no apology from the waiter, and no sign of management. There are plenty of other good choices nearby.

Went to Barndiva with friends and family after a VERY long day of wine tasting and...oversampling food bites. We had a prix fixe 3-course meal at $75 per person. On arrival, the menu had a customized welcoming message: Welcome Winos! Loved it. The place was hopping and service a bit slow, but we were in no particular hurry. Appetizer that stood out was the crudo. Main courses went 50/50 with filet mignon vs. halibut. The baked potato was other-worldly with caramelized onions and sundry other delicious treats. By dessert, I told the server that we were tapping out. He listened and dialed back (yes: smaller) the portion size to accommodate our full tummies.

We had lunch reservations this past Saturday. They called us Friday to tell us that the restaurant had been rented out on Saturday but that they could get us lunch reservations at Zin Restaurant down the street. We said no problem and showed up for lunch at Zin the next day, but they were closed. (They open at 5:30 for dinner). Not a big inconvenience for us because there are lots of good places to eat in Healdsburg. We ended up eating at Bovolo which was really good and in a cute location. But I wouldnt rely on your reservation if you have inflexible dining plans.

Called after seeing their menu and was super excited to take my 5 guests there. Once they set a reservation including my credit card as security for 20 per person if we didnt show, they informed us that we could only have a limited two course menu because there were 6 in our party. Guess its nice to have so much business that you turn away the largest spenders! I imagine this attitude permeates the staff as well. So, we will take our hard earned dollars to a place that is not stuck on themselves!

Very nice atmosphere and decoration. Food was delicious, and service was excellent. Nice selection of alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic drinks. One thing I noticed was, there wasnt very good selection for vegetarians. Im told the menu changes often, so may it was just tonight. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Healdsburg to visit the restaurant. Also, I like the fact that their dessert was just small enough to happily end a nice meal.

On a cold, rainy Wednesday in January, we were warmly welcomed at Barndiva and made to feel at home. Surrounded by winemakers and locals, the crowd moved freely among the tables, sharing bottles of wine and good cheer. The John Dory and Filet Mignon main dishes were tasty and well executed. The wine list is superb, with many local, hard to get producers. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable and friendly. All in all, a very nice evening.

Excellent food and service. The place is beautiful. The staff is welcoming and the food is exciting, beautiful to look at and superb tasting. The prior reviews about poor service should be disregarded. The wait staff management has recently changed. For the better of course. In the summer the outside seating area must be wonderful. We will definitely go back.

Love the "gallery bar" next to Barndiva. 4 bar stools only. Classic cocktails. Friendly bartenders. Ask for the popcorn! The house liquor is always great quality. Happy hour is great. It looks like a gallery inside hence the name. I prefer it over the well know Barndiva. More intimate and different than any bar in Healdsburg.
