My husband and I were sitting at a table for over 10 minutes without being served. Yet the family who arrived right after us were asked for their order right away. When I approached the hostess/waitress, I explained that I did not appreciate being neglected when others are being asked their order and served their food, especially when we had already been waiting and others were being attended to right away. The young ladys response: "we got really busy." So I replied, "okay, so we are leaving," to which she accepted and said, "sorry, okay." I understand rush hour, I have experience in the food industry. However, how is it the customers fault if the restaurants employees do not know how to work under pressure, communicate effectively, or tag-team to provide excellent customer service? The answer is, its not.... I will never be returning to this location again.

Honestly big chain restaurants loose the quality and service. They become comfortable due too their branding and they need to remember that customers referral and experiences is what motives customers to return. Ive had my fair share of bad experience at IHOP but Ive also can say Ive had good experiences. Most of the staff is friendly however some may need a break, from the heavy work flow. 95% of our visits we have great service and I will continue to return because of the staff that are great and take the time to be attentive -Improvements; need to make waiting area bigger -Parking area needs to be redesigned to make them more spacious only compact fits -A customer cannot and should not have to walk through the server station - Bathroom location is horrible / consider relocation

I have been going to this IHOP since I was a child, and thats a long time. Its the older style building with limited seating so the wait can become quite long but Ive had better luck with helpful staff here than at some of the other locations I visit. As for the food, its IHOP and what you get at one location is usually what you get at the others. Wide selection of sweet and savory foods, they do their hash browns thin and crispy just like I like them, and keep the syrups on the tables all the time so you dont have to ask for some to be brought to you. It has a small parking lot which doesnt cover the number of people who are there during normal hours but there is street parking along Foothill Blvd as well as on some of the side streets.

Ate at this IHOP today, and was not disappointed. Was seated and served very quickly, and despite me making a mistake with my order the problem was quick to be corrected. The waitress was very friendly and patient, even though there was a rowdy table nearby, and despite being blindsided with a large number of customers during what would have normally been a quiet, slow hour, and having to serve them all by herself. The food itself was delicious as well, being of a much higher quality than breakfast foods I had eaten at other diners. In the end, I had a great experience, and it left me wondering why I had previously not eaten there very much - a mistake I intend to correct in the future!

This is about graciousness on behalf of the IHOP manager. While there recently for breakfast, my car was broken in to (NOT IHOPs fault at all!) and my laptop was stolen. In the ensuing blur of police report, whats missing, witnesses, etc. I ended up taking off, (dine-and-dash) inadvertently not paying. When I got home a week later and realized that I hadnt paid, I called to take care of it over the phone, and they said dont worry. Just kudos to the staff and their friendliness and compassion. That was a rough day! All the best to the Manager and staff at IHOP in Hayward!

I had blueberry pancakes with blueberry compote and blueberry syrup. I was very blue. This was a small celebration after having a fasting blood draw because I had lost 40 pounds to avoid diabetes and possibly reduce or eliminate my need for cholesterol medication. I did step away from the diabetes, but still need my cholesterol medication, but were trying to see if a lower dose will do. The staff were courteous and attentive, the cashier was overwhelmed, they have no bike parking.

This is literally my favorite place to eat. It is small so it can get a bit loud but I love how intimate that can feel. The staff is always awesome and go out of their way to make my experience pleasant. The food, for me, is always delicious and cooked just right. For me, I cant say enough positives and this spot. Its been my #1 for years and they continue to show me why every time I visit.

My husband and I are in town for a graduation and its 2246, the servers were wide awake and amazing as if it was 1400! Glasses were never empty and the food was so fresh! IHOP is our favorite spot and compared to the one in Tucson,AZ and the ones in Virginia by far the best! I can actually enjoy the tomatoe crunch in my Tuscan scramble!!

This is my frequent Saturday stop before my weekend bay area adventures. Although the wait may be 15-20 minutes if you arrive after 9 am, the food is typically always fresh, cooked correctly and service is always great. This location is an older style IHOP so there is not alot of space and it gets crowded fairly quickly.

If ur not mexican dont go to ihop foothill hayward saturday nights.i sat for 30 mins no service while other hispanic customers that came in after me received service .2 or 3 waiters helped them.i sat an took pictures an couldnt believe that my race played a significant part in why i was over looked.

Pretty good food here. I love their harvest grain and nut pancakes! They dont even need syrup theyre that good. This place really revamped from when I was a lot younger. The remodeling on the outside is pretty nice, but they definitely need to revamped the inside.

Food was wonderful, came in at the right time so service was one the spot. Horrible parking lot. The new sweet tea is not sweet!! I am from the great State of Tennessee and the only place in California you can find sweet tea is at CHICK-FIL-A or make it at home.

we had to wait 15 min, it was way worth it, cause there were a lot of people. Its cool cause they call your name on the loud speaker outside, so you dont have to wait in line or loose your turn cause you didnt hear your name being called.

That was the most terrible service that I have ever received my waitress went MIA and I had to get the attention of the other waiter to get service. I was once in the industry myself and really did not appreciate the way I was treated.
