This is a seafood place. You better want sea food. and Only Seafood. The quality is high, the portion size is petite, the wine is very good, the service is excellent good, the ceviche got rave reviews at our table, the fat noodle spaghetti with clams got rave reviews, the shrimp diablo was very nice, the cheese board appetizer got rave ratings about the cheese quality and types. If you are a petite eater and you will be very happy. The desserts were again getting rave responses with the blueberry pie the top winner. All in all a good time. If you bring the right people the leisurely conversation and the good food will top your night off for sure. Enjoy.

This review is for happy hour only. Yes, Seaside Metal Oyster Bar is clearly a San Francisco transplant in Russian River country, with its subway tile walls and reclaimed wood, but its still a solid happy hour. The chowder was a particular delight: a combination of savory creaminess with the right amount of tart to help cut through it. The addition of seafood was very attentive: the fish and shellfish were perfectly warmed through and not overcooked (the plague of most common seafood soups!) A nice way to spend an hour on a hot September afternoon.

What a lovely experience. It was a quiet Thursday evening and we picked our own table. Our server had intimate knowledge of the wine and food menu and steered us towards local specialties and oddities that we wouldnt find everywhere. You MUST try their Scallop Aquachile if it is still on the menu, it starts of salty and spicy and morphs to a luscious savory scallop finish. The chowder is also as good as everyone says with its seafood medley. Havent tried any other restaurants in the area yet but this is a must-see

Wonderful chefs, staff, and food make this a must-go place when near Guerneville. Happy hour $1.50 oysters with a great wine selection and menu of snacks up to full entrees round out a great experience for solo or small groups. They have a dish thats on menu sporadically which is unique and delicious. They call it bacon of the sea; sous vide octopus hood thats then finished on the plancha. Its smokey and wonderfully crispy.

Not only is this place absolutely adorable, its food is amazing!! You walk in and are meeted by the staff, who are wonderful, and are given a small menu. Their happy hour is amazing!! A dozen oysters and a cup of chowder, between the husband and I is perfect. The oysters were fresh and some of the best I have even eaten. Loved this place and I highly recommend it.

had made a reservation for a Sunday at 6pm .. were treated with such disrespect and rudeness that within 10 minutes after ordering we canceled the order and walked out. we dont mind paying high prices for good food but it needs to be accompanied by decent service.
