The muffins are pretty good - many types - mini and regular, and many good flavors. The coffee and espresso is just so-so - my hubby says the drip coffee is better. French toast was ok - lots of sugar. Service was slow and patchy - apparently our counter person was in training. Art was interesting. We wish we arrived later to see the weekend live music, but we had to head to the river early. Very spacious, lots of seatings. Saw quite a few people poring over their laptop. Overall good vibe, but from talking to some other patrons, the food is a mix of great and could-be-better.

horrible service , nice ppl no training , too much bread for filling in tuna sandwhich, went back and got a wrap because I didnt want one inch slices of bread to 1/4 inches filling. I picked a meatloaf wrap , boy that was a mistake, absoluting horrible. meat sauce ..too much sugar. I also got a marinated tofa salad, it didnt have any vinegar in it I could detect, had to add pickle juice at home. chairs have a sharp edge to the back, very uncomfortable. really wanted to like this place . but burger king is better.

Food was decent in previous experiences, young staff is way overworked though. Ordered a breakfast sandwich (that had three ingredients) to go and when I opened it it was missing eggs and cheese (2 of the 3 ingredients), went back and the older woman working the cashier barely knew how to refund me and then refused to refund the entire sandwich since I didnt receive all the ingredients... wtf?! Definitely not a happy customer.

I love this little cafe. Pluses: awesome breakfast burrito, amazing bakery (who else has paleo or agave sweetened muffins), & dam good latte. Minuses: unless the staff know you the service is meh, & not everything on the menu is awesome (hit and miss). The outdoor seating is quite charming. Theres free wifi - great place to get a little work done! Overall, I love this place. So, I get what I know I like on the menu.

We enjoy Summer Thymes and frequent on a regular basis. The food is always good and consistent. Breakfast and lunch menus have something for everyone. There is a small kids kitchen with some toys. One of the few places locally that is kid friendly.

The food is tasty and worth the sub-par service. The menu has some definite misses but their sandwiches are safe bets. All in all its one of the better places to eat in Grass Valley, a town known for its underwhelming customer service.
