Let me preface by saying I rarely leave long reviews. I just needed to voice my opinion amongst the so many 5 star reviews when I spend a lot of money and feel I get little effort in execution in return. I am a foodie and appreciate value for my hard earned money. I have quite a bit of experience with good food... both very expensive places and hole in the wall dive eateries. I usually am disappointed more times than not where I spend over $100/meal. Certain expectations come with that threshold. Very good service, very good food, attention to detail. This placed pretty much lacked it all. Calling 7 times to get a reservation and hitting voicemail 6 times and getting hung up the 7th wasnt a good sign but I was optimistic. Rather than just saying "the food sucked", heres some more detailed constructive criticism. Starters, the warm kale salad was good with the bacon but mostly the kale stole the show being how kale is in my eyes as a great ingredient. The truffle mushroom crostini was ordinary. A little goat cheese, overwhelming truffle, no mushrooms in sight. Bread was too thick. We both decided on the "wagyu" steak for entree. Lets just say Ive had better steaks on my own grill. Not that tender... gristly burnt edge (not a true sear) and nearly medium well (asked for medium rare) to the point my wife couldnt finish hers. Nearly $40 and probably worth half that. I needed something to better finish the meal than the meat so hopefully dessert would redeem it all. This was the worst part of the whole meal. I mean a simple lemon tart. How do you screw it up? It felt like an entire afterthought surely not worth of a place with $30+ entrees. The tart crust was rock hard and I nearly shattered the plate and slid the tart on my lap cutting it with my spoon. Once that happened, the lemon filling spread everywhere. Very unappetizing and incredibly sweet. The last 3 dishes were not at all polished enough to be worthy of a fine dining establishment. Service was so slow and didnt flow well at all. Felt understaffed. So much for a nice birthday dinner. $150 incl tip. Wont be back and not sure why all the 5 star people think this is even worth the money... probably because very little high end competition in the area to compare it to. I hope they use this review to improve quality/service/execution as this hidden spot has the potential to be a great gem in the neighborhood.

Its not possible to tell how very disappointed we were with last fridays dinner at this restaurant. Both my wife and I had lunch here and really enjoyed it. So, based upon those experiences we went there for dinner last friday. First of all, our server was great, a lovely young woman very anxious to please. However, thats is where the good experience ground to a halt! The wait for our dishes was interminable and when we questioned, we were told of a "technical problem" in the kitchen. When our dishes came, after about a 40 minute wait, my mussels in broth was okay, but my wifes fish dish (the specialty that evening, was terrible. The fish (cod I guess) was dry and the accompanying pasta and vegetables were undercooked to the point of being near raw. When sent back, the 20 minute wait for replacement was just too late. It would appear that the small kitchen is just not capable of handling a fairly sizable friday night crowd. Both of us are disappointed, because we really thought that we had found a very good restaurant near to our home. Oh well, another mediocre meal out! What else is new???

I only picked up food there, but the staff was both busy and friendly, remembering their clientele fondly, making newcomers feel welcome. One staff member was not paying enough attention to an order, but the rest of the staff made up for it, graciously catching a mistake before it happened. Thats the way teamwork should be, picking up the ball instead of pointing fingers at whoever dropped it. Well done!

Beware of waiters adding extra tip The restaurant in general was a nice place and the food was good. I always hear stories of waiters adding extra tips after you give them signed receipt back. My tip always has odd change, after I look to my statement I noticed that the amount was even dollar and much higher than what I initially tip ( which is normally 15-20%)

Awesome food, service and ambiance! We have been missing a jewel. We went for Sunday brunch it was amazing. I truly do not understand the negative posts. Dont listen to them and try it for yourself. We will definitely be on the welcoming patio in the Spring, and inside for the Sunday brunch soon! Again....DO NOT listen to the negative posts!!

This little gem in Granite Bay offers amazing food, a good selection of beer & wines, but it was the service that impressed me the most. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating, and made my first visit amazing. Will definitely go back for lunch, dinner or Sunday Brunch.

Farmhaus is THAT place. High end flavors, terrific wait staff, warm and lovely atmosphere with very reasonable prices. A great place for the discriminating diner to bring friends and family -- all will emerge happy, fed and with some good memories. My highest recommendation.

Best BLT Ive ever had. Service is great and the place is adorable. I would give it a 5 but parking is atrocious. I went for lunch on a Wednesday and both lots were so full people were double parked.

Wonderful well kept secret for brunch. It still gets a lot of traffic due to the sheer amount of locals that know about it, but its worth going to. Lots of great farm to fork options

Great Food, but I never know what kind of service I will get. It has been great and also horrible. I have actually walked out as everyone ignores you even when it is not busy.
