A couple of friends and I stopped in here for dinner on a rainy weekday night. None of had been here before; we were just looking for a well-rated pho place somewhere between Long Beach and West LA and this seemed to fit the bill. Its a pretty good-sized place and was clean. It was also all decked out in Christmas stuff and had a particularly annoying motion-sensored Santa that would boom out "Merry Christmas!" and "Ho Ho Ho!" every time someone moved anywhere near it. After about the 20th time we were totally over it, but then a baby started crying nearby and we traded one annoyance for another. Anyhoo, on to the food: We ordered their basic combo pho, and the small bowl was big enough for me, even though I was pretty hungry. It was good, but I cant say it blew me away. The produce, meat and noodles were all fresh and the broth had a good flavor--it was a perfectly good bowl of pho and hit the spot. The waiter helping us out had limited English but was very friendly and smiley, which is pretty unusual for a place like this, but then again looks like they cater to a largely non-Vietnamese clientele.

I love this place and have been coming for over two decades, since my teens. Its been around a long time, it grew from a smaller location, a smaller unit within the same plaza. Back then there was another Vietnamese restaurant and even a Vietnamese supermarket. They have the best beef broth in town. Thats how theyve managed to stay in business so long. They are also very nice.

Price is good. I get the well done steak pho. They have several sizes to choose. Good broth, lots of noodles and beef. Bean sprouts are fresh. Overall this is probably one of the best pho places in the South Bay area.
