The food is terrific!! the staff is questionable, Minority base group, ages range from 18 to 35 mostly female and they do a great job of serving food however the biggest problem with this Norms its time if you have lots of time you found the right Norms for you. But if you want a quick meal in and out, forget about it these people are slow especially during dinner rush hour, expect to wait 30 minutes to be seated and another 30 minutes to get your food. When I finally did get my food it was prepared incorrectly and had to be sent back, not only did I have to pay for everything at regular price, but I was never offered a free milkshake like would have at any other Norms. My entire visit was almost 3 hours long. On a Monday 7 PM arrival time. Ive also had problems with orders to go: they never get them right, its a see if its their first time ever taking an order over the phone? On the plus side the restaurant is always kept clean, the lobby very clean, restrooms very clean, and finally the parking lot very clean and ample spaces. One more thing, theres never a *manager on shift.... if you do happen to ask for one the staff will say: the managers not in right now shell be in tomorrow morning.

For the third time it was the worst experience ever bad potatoes wilted lettuce overcooked meat small portions and the waiters and waitresses are not quality waiters and waitresses you dont have quality Cooks you guys have let this turn into a Latino world and I dont even care and you get ugly faces and rude remarks and stuff like that from your waiters and waitresses the service sucks you better change your guyses attitude youre going to lose that business Ive been eating at norms ever since I was a little kid and you guys have destroyed it Im going to tell everybody about the bad service if you dont like American food and you dont like the quality of norms what it used to be then give it up and let someone else take it over and run it right

My first time eating here and my last. Took my 2 kids and I and was poor. Ordered the New York and scampi...the gurl started walking away without asking about my sides or town I wanted the steak. Then she brings my kids fish and we ordered grilled not fried. Had to take it back. Their cottage cheese tasted expired. She brought my soup n salad and before I finished my soup and has not touched my said she brought me steak out. Which I asked her to put under the heat lamp until I finished . The steak was tough, scampi was sad. I liked the green beans and the salad and soup. Poor service poor food. I was disappointed and sadly I will not be there again. Not at this location and not for dinner at least. I give it

I had chicken fried steak dinner. My baked potato was undercooked, sauteed vegs bland,. I had to ask for a dinner roll. Dont order the chicken noodle soup. It tasted like chicken that had originally served with sage stuffing. My dinner salad was nothing more than a bag of lettuce greens. My waitress left a lot to be desired. She spilled someones salad on my veggies including salad dressing. My personal salad had another guest salad dressing spilled into mine as well as salad fork. Needles to say the service was horrible. I suppose the breakfast is better I am being very generous by giving this place 3 stars.

I was with a group of people. About 4 to be exact. We were seated right away, no waiting. Service was ok at first but the follow up service after was horrible. We got our check before everyone had their food. When you get the check when eating out its usually a signal that they want you to leave. I doubt I will go back. Drink refills required us to flag down the waiter/waitress. Who was inattentive, when asked for a manger the manager seemed unprofessional, not concerned with what has happened. She offered excuses instead of apologies. Compensation for bad service was not offered. We had to ask about that.

11pm Sunday night my friend & I stop in for a bit of steak & eggs, as I look around its almost a ghost town with maybe 7 or 8 tables spread out and no counter customers. I have to go up to register to get a glass of water and notice no one was eating anything other than salads and soup. Fourth. Five minutes later I find our waitress Believe she was lost in conversation with cook and said " im out. " No Service. No. Food,, my time to relax had passed, I could have had a bowl of cereal and talked to my friend in. Comfort,, but. No Sorry. No more late night for. Norms, G. Rose

We came at 9:30 a.m. the hostess was genuinely happy to see us, there was no waiting time so she directed us to a booth big enough for our party, she then proceeded to ask for our drinks and brought them for us, the waiter came and greeted us in a really good manner, took our orders and it took a little bit of a time for us to get our food, the beacon was cooked in some parts and raw in others in all the orders so we did not eat it, the. Hash browns were all cold like if they sat for too long on the plates waiting for the rest of the items, so kitchen was a minus at this visit.

Our server Cynthia was very good we sat at the counter. I would have given more stars but what we saw at the counter with other servers was disgusting. OMG how nasty and unsafe. This waiter not only piles plates on top of food, we also saw him touch food with his hands. We r so thankful we are sitting at the counter and that he is not our server. We spoke with a supervisor and honestly she seemed to think it is ok to pile plates on top of food. Digesting and gross. Might be our last time here unless we sit at the counter.

Worst experience every just to get drinks 10 minutes. Food was ok, then to wait for the waitress to come around again another 30 minutes. Then I called the Manager she advised I would check into it NEVER CALLED BACK. Even worse called the Regional Area Manager he was on vacation for 2 weeks I understood (everyone takes one***reasonable) so I left a message a month ago. He has never returned my call. I know alot of people in Torrance and I will let everyone know my experience.

Super great experience with the staff and management on both occasions that Ive gone. Food was well prepared and anything that a customer needs is promptly tended to with a smile. Its a new establishment in our neighborhood but the cleanliness and staff and management is what keeps this location a location that we will happily return to. They treat every single guest like close family and of course their food is delicious.

Worst service Ive ever recieved at a Norms. It wasnt even busy and I never got my order taken. After 20 minutes of waiting I asked whom I can assume is the late night cashier, I didnt catch his name but he was very young, if he could take my order but he replied "Im not a server" with attitude. Im never coming back. Your better going east on PCH and catching the Dennys down the street before the 110 fwy.
