Food was good at first but the waitresses seemed upset if I didnt have extra money to tip her. Couple times Ive been there she always seems to chase me out the door asking for a tip.not that the food was bad at all I just dont have a buck extra for tip. And today was the last day I go visit because for each time I took a bite off of my gyoza, the waiter was laughing each time and made me feel they probably spat my food....not sure... and while dining the cooks and the waiters and waitress seem to mumble behind the register "we dont like you hahaha". They were good food at first but today the broth was salty, not much flavor like other times, and the supervisor didnt understand that I couldnt tip most of the time as I believe the tip is buying their food...making that drive to the ramen spot. But felt very uncomfortable. They follow a policy where you MUST tip and if you dont then the food was not great in their minds........this used to be the spot to come eat ramen, but after I kept getting chased out of the restaurant made me not visit much due to the harassment of not tipping (sometimes I tip and sometimes I dont). The supervisors said that if were not going to tip they have the right to refuse service and that just made me sad that how can they force their customers to tip if they dont have it? In the end they make me feel like a bad person not to leave a tip when I dont even have it for myself x( so they officially banned us from eating their ramen due to no tip....sad sad sad... and the cooks...after leaving the cooks screamed out as if they knew the whole problem with us, so of course I have that feeling my food probably was spat since I go there whenever I have 25 bucks to waste...theres my tip...sorry I couldnt give more...

Ramen was ok, nothing special. We cant eat pork and asked if we could substitute pork for anything else (eg, an extra egg), we were told "no" and told not to ask again. This was disappointing as pork was the main "topping" on all the ramen, and an extra egg did not seem to be an unreasonable replacement. This would be fine too, except for the restaurant policy which says that the restaurant is operated on a flexible policy and will do "anything in their power to understand a customers needs". Why have a policy like that if the staff will do the exact opposite? Staff were rude and paying $9 for ramen with nothing in the bowl was a ripoff and we would not recommend his restaurant.

It was "meh", I dont even remember what the ramen tasted like. If you are reading this at Jidaiya because you have no idea what to order: get the MISO BOMB ball on the side, I promise itll make the ramen taste better. I convinced my coworker to come here with me during our lunch break so I can try their UFO gyoza and add it to my fb food pic collection (yes, I am one of those weirdos who takes pics of their food...BUT my facebook food pics via are amazing cuz most are unique :P ). I was not impressed with the gyoza at all, it tasted like the ones you defrost at home. If you flip the UFO over youll see 5-6 gyoza connected to each other like a star.

Another great ramen shop in Gardena! I got their spicy miso and it was delicious. The store decorated like a hip Japanese street store with fun trinkets placed throughout. They are really proud their UFO gyoza, but in reality its just 6 gyozas melted together in a spherical shape and actually harder to eat since you need to break them apart. Cruncher but I would have just preferred if they had fried them individually.

When a place says theyre good for ramen, only get the ramen. Dont get anything else! Their dumplings were horrible! Their takoyaki was okay, but their ramen was good! The tonkotsu ramen broth was really flavorful. Loved the bamboo in it as well. Just stick to what theyre good at and youll have no worries.

The atmosphere is great and it is usually not crowded, but I was not a huge fan of the food. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and it was half bean sprouts. The flavor of the broth tasted bland and off but that may have been due to the bean spouts overpowering the rest of the ingredients.

There are certainly better ramen choices in the area. Jidaiya tends to be a bit too oily/greasy with their soup bases, their chashu is pretty much always dry, and their noodles arent anything to rave about. Friendly staff though and the interior decor is interesting.

来附近的蛋糕店看蛋糕,孩子说想吃拉面,于是来了这家,份量很大,我点了一个凉面,孩子点了一个拉面,都没能吃完。味道不错。

Small low key place... Good soups at decent prices. but not great service. We went on a Friday afternoon there were 5 other patrons and 1 person left because he said he waited to long. Guess they were busy making my food cuz we got ours quick

I got chicken cutlet curry. It was really good. I will definitely try the ramen next time because this restaurant is known for that. But I must say their chicken cutlet is really well done! The people who work here are very nice also.

My go to place for ramen with large selection of different style/broth. Tired of tonkotsu based ramen? Try the Kai Shio ramen. You can ask for less salt , also. Service is excellent and consistent. So is the food.

Legitimate Japanese comfort food! Try the Jidaiya ramen. Tonkatsu ramen with thick chewy noodles. Only one slice of chashu. So get extra if you want more. Broth is on point thick but not too greasy.

Best Hot fresh Ramen, I ever had in my life. Nice interior restaurant, and polite staff. I had the best Melon Ramune ever too. Definitely will return. Kanpai! Itadakimasu!

Funky with lots of character. They are always playing godzilla on the old school tv. The tsukemen was really good. Went back and kept on going back. This place is a pass.

One of the best tonkotsu ramen in LA. Thick, flavorful, and piping hot broth. Noodle is thick and chewy. Pork belly is cooked to perfection.

One of the better ramen places out there. Very hearty flavors on tsukemen and miso soups. Not too salty like other ramen places Ive had.

Miso ramen with wider noodles is my favorite here. Very family friendly, and wait staff always seems fully bilingual (English/Japanese)

I got the chashu ramen, it was excellent. They also have probably the best gyoza Ive ever eaten. I absolutely recommend them.
