This place is a serious hit or miss, we have been here probably more than 20 times and got to-gos some 40 times but still cant shake up that weird love-hate relationship that we share with this joint. There are some items that are absolutely amazing and some downright shabby. The prices are really good and they have some offers on lunch like 20 rotis with 3 curries combo. Incidently, the reason behind this weird in-consistency is they have 2 head chef or cooks each being good at few and bad at others, so it all depends on which day you are ordering what. Pros : Aloo-paratha, roti, chole-bature, paneer pakora and house thali. Cons : Samosa (always refried), Tea (always in-consistent), mix-veg pakora(oily refried).

Excellent food. I have tried their vegetarian house thali and very impressed with the quality / taste of the food. I took thali parcel first time on August 18 and liked the food so much that I went again on next day for the same thali. I was glad that all vegetables were different than the previous day. I think they are giving best value for the money. Chaas comes free with the thali and is very refreshing with the food. Today, I am going try their food in the restaurant rather than take away. I would highly recommend their food to every one who has liking for the Indian vegetarian food.

Consistently delicious home style food. Never disappoints and always friendly staff. Only issue I have is the new timings. Last night there were at least 5 different groups of customers turned down service because they arrived at 9.30 pm( or close to ) . When there are other places in the same complex open till 10 or later why lose money by closing at 9.30 pm. At least for weekends it should be extended. Not sure if staffing situation allows for being open past 9.30, but definitely dont like it when I arrive close to 9.30 pm and forced to go away and choose another place.

Places like Chaat house should not exist. The one thing you go to a Chaat house for - the chaats were completely made by someone who cannot even say Chaat. Kala chana in BHEL puri?? The dahi paapdi Chaat was another way to torture your taste buds. The food was so bad that two of us had stomach problems immediately after. Visit at your own risk or buy gift cards and send people whom you want to have an experience of culinary torture.

One of the very few North Indian cuisine which feels home-cooked, healthy and of consistent quality and taste. It is reasonably priced as well. We have been visiting this place almost weekly for more than a year now and we have rarely found any issues with the quality of food and taste. To top it off, they have excellent service; the staff will always treat you well and make you feel at almost at home after a long work-day.

It is an over rated restaurant. We went to have a nice dinner after reading the reviews but the food was tasteless. We ordered 2 dishes of panner. Panner tikka and paneer butter masala. I wonder that these would be the most ordered dishes as it is a vegetarian serving place.I was highly disappointed. The chutney served with Paneer tikka was also ridiculous. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Big Salute to the team, very quick turnaround and quality food, I had a shortage of food in a party I hosted, Called Chat House which was very close to the party location, needing food for thirty adults within 20mins, I expected Chat House to say no for my request since its nearly impossible, to my surprise they said yes and got my order ready within 25mins, very happy with the quality of service!

Ambiance :- 3.5/5 Cleanliness :- 3.5/5 Service :- 5/5 Food :- 3/5 Price :- 3/5 The server in this restaurant is very friendly and always keep smile on their face. In food this restaurant has to do some more work in a way of taste, quality, garnish....... also has to do some work on menu..... Over all this Restaurant chaat and Chhole bhature is very good people has to try once..

Quality of food has deteriorated over the last few months or so. Ive had serious stomach trouble the last couple of times weve ordered through Chaat House. However, food is reasonably good, especially the rotis and mango lassi. Some of the items, usually potato based, seem to have raw, uncooked spice. Chaat was quite good, but havent had it in the last 6-8 months.

Absolutely positively horrible food. I ordered Dahi papdi Chaat that was just watery. Chole batura with bland chole. And house thaali where every thing was undercooked. The only saving grace was the prompt service of bad food. This level of bad Indian food is what I expect in mid USA definitely NOT in Bay area.

Never going there again and ordering chole. They combined the spoiled one with fresh one and served. So part of the chole were really really bad and other part was OK. Why would they do that? Cant they just throw the spoiled chole instead of mixing in the new batch? Yuk !!!

Menu is same as Chat Bhavan restaurants but the food is really fresh and tasty. This Place is not spacious enough and weekend it gets crowded so they arrange 2 seats table for 4 people. Not so great about cleanliness. Always double check your receipts.

Really delicious food and a welcome find for this vegetarian. Somosas were outstanding and not at all greasy. The Tikka Masala was also very flavorful. Only criticism was the television with the volume up rather high.

Naan was heavenly, the curry (mild) was phenomenal... So yummy!! Samosas were delightful, with just a mild bite... And the tamarind chutney was a great counterpart to the samosa... Definitely going there again!

They keep up standards for many years now. Tasty food; lunch or other snacks - excellent service. We will visit again for Channa Botura. Dinner time very good naan varieties and side dishes make you overeat.

We had a traditional thali & found these good. The chapatis were hot and the bhaji portions were just enough for hungry souls. Also reasonable priced at around Usd 10 .

Delicious and freshly prepared to order chaat and curries. I had the papdi and pakora, both excellent. My friend had paneer masala and naan and was delighted as well.

I ordered chhole bhautre. But the quantity of chhole chana was so less that I could only finish one bhatura with it. I had to trash another bhatura. Taste is OK.
