First let me say that the staff were friendly and the service was quick and efficient. After that, it was pretty downhill. The restaurant was COLD. I dont know if their heat wasnt working, or if maybe they just hadnt bothered to turn it on, but it was so cold that dashing through pouring rain to get back in the car with the heater was a great relief. We had the crab rangoon for starters, which tasted ok. For dinner we shared Beef in Oyster Sauce and Sauteed Scallops. These two dishes were very bland. In fact, they tasted exactly the same. The quality of beef was low, and the scallops were tiny. The ratio of meat to veggies was disappointing. I polished off the crab rangoon rather than finish my plate. On the other hand, they were inexpensive (under $10 each) and there was a lot of food, so this could be a great place if youre ravenous and straining your budget. Maybe there are other dishes that dont make this such a blah selection for dinner. If you want to try it, more power to you.

This restaurant has been under new ownership for about 1.5-2 yrs. We ate there a week ago, and it was excellent! We had the War Wonton soup, which had great fresh veggies in it and was very flavorful. We had mu gu gai pan, which was both full of flavor and subtle the way really good Cantonese food can be. We had the lemon chicken- all breast meat, not greasy, wonderfully fried with a nice tangy lemon sauce. And we had the chicken curry, which was good comfort food- again, not greasy, and with fine flavor. I was honestly surprised by the the quality, and we will definitely go back.

SERIOUSLY UNDER RATED RESTAURANT!!!! I just had to look this place up again. Nearly two years since Ive eaten there, and Im still jonesing for some chicken and rice... My cousin and I ate here before we left our Seaside vacation. HOLY S*** WE WERE IMPRESSED!!! We tried almost every restaurant, and to be totally honest... THIS PLACE WAS THE BEST!!! My god this place should not be missed by anyone who is visiting or staying in Seaside. Its REALY GOOD!!! Dont let looks fool you, it may look a little shabby on the outside, but the food is BEYOND THIS WORLD!!! Give it try!!!

Our family did a little research and figured this would be a great place to go for takeout considering the reviews from others. After placing an order we politely sat down and waited. After that we waited... and waited... and then decided that the best thing to do was to wait a little longer. After an hour and forty five minutes, our 3 orders or sesame chicken finally arrived. We asked if we were to be compensated for our time and the owner replied with "We cook Chinese time. You no like you leave". The food was OK.

We had it delivered. So positive notes, delivery was fast, there egg drop soup is great, crab puffs good. Everything else basically looks and tastes the same. They fry it all so it looks the same, sauces are cheap tasting. There chow mein looked and tasted like angel hair pasta boiled with a little salt. And Im currently sitting on my toilet evacuating everything I have. If you want pretty crappie Chinese food delivered quickly, give them a call

First I will start with the good I got Mongolian beef extra spicy the taste was very good just not the spicy for me but I also like things to be super spicy. I also ordered potstickers they were the most god awful things I have ever put in my mouth they were slimy and not fully cooked. The I got pork fried rice that had no vegetables in it. I feel that the pieces were a little over priced but its seaside what can you expect.

Food tasted stale, building has that "old smell", needs a good deep clean. Bartender isnt friendly to travelers. You get to wait while she chats up the 1 other guest whos a regular. Literally no one else in the building but us and one other guy. She acted like we were putting her out.

We arrived in Seaside late and everything was closed but Westlake Chinese restaurant. We decided to risk it. The food was great. The server was nice, the food came quickly and was priced right. We even took home leftovers. We will definitely visit again when were in Seaside.

The tables and condiments on the tables were filthy. The carpet matched. We waited for someone to take our order for 15 minutes--this made the decision to leave easier. eeeehhhhwww pretty much sums it up folks.

Would not say its the greatest, but its not terrible. I typically get the kung pao chicken, if and when we stop in, which is rarely. Its good and you get a lot of it, but its nothing to rant and rave about.
