Good Potential. We went as Coastal tourists, hoping for a great experience. The staff was too busy to greet anyone at the door. We opted for seating at the bar because the little retauraunt was packed. I dont often rate so low, but this is the exception. The food we ordered was good, no doubt. The waiters, waitresses, cooks and management were all visiting the bar often to drink. Their customer service was as good as you could expect from an intoxicated staff. The owner was parading her personal woes all over about how she was an irresponsible employer and was sued (at least that was my translation). I only wish that I could have the insurance adjuster, lavor commissioner and ATF. I ordered a beer and was not asked for ID. There was, what appeared to be, a very young individual receiving free drinks at the bar along with the entire staff. There was one exception, this waiter seemed to be holding down the fort, directing the drunkards and following behind to fix all of their mistakes. The restaurant likely receives good reviews because the food is good, but to a keen eye, it was obvious the place was in shambles and poorly run. Needless to say, the owner was filing BK and probably going out of business. The culprit? Her own poor choices.

Granted, I have never been to Italy but this is by far the best Italian food I have ever had. Everything is so fresh and full of flavor! My husband and I first discovered Luna Trattoria by accident last year. When we returned to Fort Bragg last weekend for a family getaway, we had to bring everyone to taste the yumminess! The family loved it so much we had dinner here two nights in a row! I fell in love with the Penne Sangiovese last year and of course, had to have it again this time around. On our second night, I tried the Penne Boscaiola and it was even tastier than the Sangiovese! My daughter loved the Linguine alla Vongole and ordered it both nights. My brother and dad had the Cioppino the first night and the Bisteca alla Luna the second night. There was no shortage of seafood in the Cioppino and the linguine was overflowing with clams. The bisteca was done to perfection and came out just as ordered. I highly recommend Luna Trattoria to anyone visiting Fort Bragg. Oh, and be sure to save room for dessert! It was heavenly!

Wow. I am normally not one to leave reviews but I have to say that this place blew me away. This was our second anniversary dinner and I chose Luna based on google reviews. I am so. Glad. I. Did. I know Ive never had Italian this good. Im not sure Ive even had food this good, period. We ordered the bruschetta combo - excellent, btw - so I was about to turn down the free bread. Our server was like "its free bread" . . . It is the absolute best focaccia on the planet. I know I will never find focaccia anywhere else that would remotely come close to the glory that is this focaccia. I ordered penne with wine/cream sauce and sausage. My mind was blown. My husband ordered a seafood dish, I tried it. It, too, was perfect. I dont even like seafood. Besides the existential crisis I experienced alongside my penne, the atmosphere was so eclectic and happy, the live music was great, and service was above and beyond. Hands down five stars. You absolutely must try this. My complements to the chef!

Lunas is a great Italian restaurant. The food is amazing-I ordered the Penne Salmone-makes my mouth water just recalling it! My husband loved it as well. My 16 year old loved the spaghetti and meatballs. The bread was delicious and the wine went well with our meal. The wait staff were very helpful-he recommended the wine as well as our entree-he was spot on. Had I not searched and researched places to eat, I would never have found this place. Its located on Franklin street but the sign is very small and they have curtains that kind of cover the windows such that you wouldnt think it was a restaurant if you werent specifically looking for it. Try this place, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome! Was told about this place from other tourists. Nicole our waitress was the best! The entire staff was wonderful. I had Chicken Parmigiana, and my friend had a salmon/pasta dish. Small salads were huge, dressing was best Ive had. It was my friends birthday and they did the cutest celebration. Choice of free dessert for both of us.. The place is very cute, fun, service great, prices good. Wish it was in my home town. Food was outstanding and done traditionally.

We come all the way from Sacramento to eat the best Italian dishes here at Luna. Their cappuccinos have froth like ice cream, you can taste the art and love in each pasta thats full of delicious flavors. Theres always room for the tiramisu. Weve been to Italy and its so nice to come here and be taken back to Italy. Even the warm welcoming helpful service makes me feel like Im back in Italy.

Make sure the bill you get is the bill you ordered. Friendly service... in a rush. Salads are large so get a 1/2 salad to split instead of 1 order for 2 people. Food was well priced, but underwhelming. Pesto pasta you average college student could whip up in a dorm room on a hot plate. Balsamic Steak was prepared to order, but nothing more.

Best restaurant in Fort Bragg. We went on a Saturday night and they had live music. The decor is interesting and the staff is very friendly. We ordered pasta and our food was so good we had no leftovers. Warning: the free bread is very good so dont overload too much before the entree is served.

This is simply a wonderful Italian restaurant - to find it in Fort Bragg was so delightful. It would be a wonderful spot in any big city but its a real bonus to find it in a small resort community. If you are in Fort Bragg and enjoy good Italian food (and wine), do yourself a favor and go!

My wife had the linguini with clam sauce. I had spaghetti with meat balls. Both were excellent. The decor was an interesting mix of new age stuff, and the staff was very friendly. They open at 5 pm, so no early dinner.

Delicious food and kid-friendly. We were visiting Fort Bragg for the weekend, and were thrilled to find a local Italian restaurant. After our day at the beach, it was a great wrap up to the end of the day.

Weve eaten here maybe 6 times in the last few months. The food is excellent and there is a certain joy here. They are unpretentious but have a lot of heart. Great place.

Service and ambience: excellent. The food was merely okay.... Meatball and meat sauce flavor was a little odd. Polenta very salty. Ravioli only so-so flavor.
