The food is fine, but nothing unusual. In the spectrum of Folsoms Mexican restaurants, you can do better. I had one excellent dish once, but I ordered it on another visit, and it was unrecognizable. Some servers seems happy to be there, but ownership and service seems... unmotivated. If I owned a small restaurant, Id be very excited and appreciative to see customers walking in. Not so much at El Pueblo.

The food was okay, but really nothing special. We ordered a margarita and were specifically asked if we wanted salt, but no salt to be found. They also sat us 5-10 minutes before happy hour was over but didnt ask us for drinks until after happy hour was over. I think there are other places better nearby, but its not horrible.

Best tamales Ive had in a long time. My daughter and I had lunch, a tamale and freshly made cheese chile relleno, spicy queso dip and chipotle enchiladas suiza. Everything was freshly made, well seasoned and plentiful. The salsa is perfect! Definitely going back soon!

we went because of almost a 5star rating and worse place ever to eat.. rice was cold and dried out beans were burnt and i mean burnt every bite u take..i only took 2 bites.. culdnt handle the burnt taste.. chkn enchilladas were gross..

Just tried the carnitas street tacos, and I have to say this is the best Mexican food Ive had since moving to Sacramento. The roasted salsa is also amazing. Will be back to try more of the menu soon.

The food is fresh and very good. All of theri sauces are homemade. The staff and owner are very nice. Excellent food, atmosphere, and bar. Great place for a meal or happy hour. Highly recommend!
