I think that this is closer to really traditional ramen as it was tasty in ways that did not seem familiar. "Umame" comes to mind in spades here as the broth has a lot of flavors that want to converge to "salty" but steer clear. So I think that if youre an aficionado of authentic Japanese ramen / udon / pork broth, this is a place for you. I want to appreciate this style of ramen more and so Ill be back to try different offerings, but Im going to do some research first. Otherwise the restaurant is well appointed and clean. The staff is efficient, personable and very cheerful. The tempura was a little on the heavy side but it was hot, plentiful and tasty. The prices were higher than I expected but it was worth it; this place should be in the two dollar sign range as most of the entrees were over $11 or so. But as I said, its a good value. Go early as the place fills up quickly. There is plentiful seating if you dont mind the raised counter.

Must have had a change in ownership.. completely different experience than two years ago. Even though they were supposed to open at 4:30PM, we got there around 3:30PM and while looking at the menu, the owner actually invited us in. We sat down and the owner was real nice and friendly. Their Gyoza was nicely done and didnt appear to be prepackaged. The fried potato croquette and fried oysters were breaded nicely and had great taste to it. I went for the pork flavor noodle and I think it would have been great without the MSG but its a pretty big bowl of hearty noodles. The pork belly was tender and flavorful; didnt taste like it was from a freezer either.

This has been my favorite restaurant for seven years now. The food is great, the environment is peaceful, and I like the staff. The location, in a shopping center with a lot of other Asian restaurants, is nice. You can walk a few hundred feet after eating to get dessert at a Chinese bakery nearby.

I think we must have gone there on an off day because it took 40 minutes before someone came around to take our order and another 30 to get our food. We got a recommendation from a friend and were excited to try but unfortunately the service killed it for us. The food was good, though.

Maybe the best ramen place in this area. Really love the original flavor of Tonkutsu ramen and fried dumpings. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the waitress is very friendly and considerate. Will be there again whenever I am thinking of ramen.

This was the first time I have ever had ramen, and the experience was quite peaceful. For some odd reason, I would recommend to go out of your comfort zone here. Their food is delicious and you really cant miss. Will be back soon!

Mediocre at best. Staff was friendly, but the food was seriously lacking. Gyoza tasted burnt and oily, and the ramen broth was flavorless. Took 5 tablespoons of soy sauce, a ton of togarashi and some hot sauce to make it edible.

My first time to a Japanese noodle house and it was very good and filling. The only disappointment was they offered California roll but not vegetable roll. I cant wait to go back and try the other soups in their menu.

The menu is varied, but the quality is mediocre. Seating is also spartan, with nondescript Enka music playing in the background. For a $15 bowl of ramen, there are better options.

Fast Japanese Ramen. There are some Chinese styles too. Not the best, but good to have in the neighborhood since there arent that many Ramen places around.

Great place, love their Tonkastu noddle soup, and California roll also tastes fresh and good. A good choice when you want something simple, hot, and quick.

First time having it, it was a great meal and experience for me and the family. Really enjoyed the C5 on the menu. 5 stars from my experience.
