Hidden Gem? Check. Great Deli food? Check. 70+ amazing craft beers on tap? Check. This hole in a wall deli sure knows how to keep the locals coming, much like myself and strangers afar to see what the fuss is about. Located in a small Mexican market plaza in Downey, this place serves up great deli food and great beers. From George, to George, Christina, JR, Cameron and the rest, these guys/gals make you feel like your family to them with their friendliness, funny personalities and passionate knowledge about the beer they serve. Most beers do full pints and as well they offer flights *prices vary on type of beer* Every month or depending on their scheduling, they will do tap takeovers of certain breweries and thats an opportunity you just cant miss out on. Also, they have beers to go from to stuff thats typically on rotation to some rare gems, so be on the lookout! All of their sandwiches are amazing, but when you become a regular, they know what YOU like and you know what you will eat, but just bigger and with more meat on the next trip! I usually stick the Sicilian, because how can you go wrong with Prosciutto in a sub? Yes, I see the reviews about it being small and not enough space, but hey look at it like this, small joints create a vibrant atmosphere that gets you to interact with other beer enthusiasts and learn and try new beers you wouldnt think you would like. Other than that, I will be back more often as much as I can because these guys make me feel like Im at home, except Im just not in my undies with a beer in my hand lol..

That was a good turkey sandwich! Visited Uncle Henrys for a brew and some grub. A friend raves over how good the turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich is here so I figured Id try it out. However, the Oink & Gobble caught my attention instead as its a hot sandwich and I was looking for something toasted. I also love sourdough so that played into my choice as well. This was delicious, tasted fresh and was quite filling. I ordered the super size version. I came close to ordering the baby bomber but wouldnt have finished it in one sitting since I wasnt that hungry and its practically two sandwiches stacked on top of each other. Have no doubt, I will be knocking back a baby bomber my next visit. The staff was cool & chill as well and the beer selection was great. I had a nice cold 805 to wash down my sandwich and fries. Perfect way to spend a Saturday night and I will be having more visits just as this one.

If this place wasnt so far from my work, I would go here more often!! Excellent customer service and great tasting, fresh food! Since my sister and I went during lunch, we didnt get to try any beer. :( What We Ordered - Turkey, Bacon and Avocado Sandwich on Rye - Italian Stallion on a French Roll - Macaroni Salad - Potato Salad - Egg Salad The sandwiches were HUGE!! They dont skimp on the meat! We both enjoyed our sandwiches. The potato and mac salad were good! The egg salad was a little bland. I will be back!

This place is amazing. Ive lived here 2 years and never walked in. Boy have I missed out!! These guys know whats up. And from reviews very under rated! The HOT Italian!! Amazing. I cant wait to try everything else with Bacon! Forget your burger cravings with these sandwiches! Its a cool hang out spot. Great beer. Delicious sandwiches. Locals, not a pretentious place but man the sandwiches are good. Dont ever waste your money on a burger or subway if you are near here. And beer...... A lot of it!

I dont know how they do it! 102+ taps of crazy good quality craft beer. Old 1950s style family deli sandwiches, all in a strip mall dive bar type setting. They have an incredible bottle selection (over 80 bottles). They frequently have beer-centric events. Since Ive heard about this place a few months ago in the Beer Paper LA Ive visited it 4 times from San Diego -- well worth the trip.

The beers on tap choices here are literally endless. You can go every day and get three different beers every time and by the time you tried them all(about 100) theyd actually have switched a few out. Then theres the bottles of beer(probably 300) that are available for carry out only. And mother of god the sandwiches. Insane. My personal favorite is the beef dip. Its amazing.

My friend took me here and told me how great the sandwiches were. Unfortunately I was not impressed. I got the beef dip sandwich and a special. Both sandwiches were super salty. I have no clue why. But if you are looking for a beer they seem to have everything under the sun. Be advised the shop is very small and cramped.

Best beer spot in Downey! Nothing beats some fresh deli meats and a wall full of delicious beer options. Come in on a steal the pint night and you get to keep the glass! Staff is great and can always help you find the beer you are craving, be it a fruity sour or a hoppy IPA. Cant go wrong with Henrys!

111+taps You come here for real knowledge of beer, not "service" theyre more likely to make fun of your stupid shoes than thank you for your business. THIS PLACE IS KEEPING AMERICA GREAT. I hope it never changes.... Except getting even more beer!

Place is small but the food is good. They are too pricey though. Also, dont know if the kid that waited us knows much on respect. Throws racial jokes out like he was invincible. Lower the prices, learn some respect and youll have a customer.

You can never go wrong with a great sandwich from Uncle Henrys. My personal favorite is the bacon cheese melt with some turkey. So good! The huge selection of beers on tap is just as good a reason to go!

This spot has been there since 1959. Recently, they had the brilliant idea of adding a craft beer selection. As both a sandwich shop and a beer spot, this place is Legit!!! Try the Reuben with a nice IPA.

Theres a vast array of beers however, the customer service is piss poor :( The staff take their sweet time in rendering service and lack people skills. So rude, its irritating!

I ordered the french dip, based on other reviews. It was terrible, salty, old meat and a wretched au jus. I am not going to return.

The guy working at the bar gave me a stout when asked for a sour.... But, my sandwich was amazing and the beer selection is great.
