How good can a sandwich be ... this is me naively asking myself as I walk into this charming deli. PARKING: Shared lot with other businesses. This place is seriously a gem in a tiny strip mall. FOOD: -sandwich: two variations on baguette or ciabatta - this sandwich is FANTASTIC. Its fantastic in the same way that a great contour changes the look of your face completely. I never thought that thinly sliced cold cuts could come together in such an orchestral harmony. Seriously - you need this sandwich in your life. This comes from a girl who hates sandwiches. SERVICE: Very friendly - everyone is so helpful. Stop reading this review right now and drive to Roma Market to buy this sandwich. You think Im kidding, but Im not.

I used to live a couple blocks from this place and heard they made sandwiches. So I walked up there one day and walked in and I think it was empty except for a woman at a register and an older man behind the deli counter. I was greeted by the woman and I replied "Hi! I heard you make sandwiches." And Ill never forget her response, "We make ONE sandwich and its the best!" She wasnt kidding, very simple but very good. Also the various marinated olives and stuffed peppers are all really good too. Excellent market, just go there already, or dont, I dont care, Im not your dad

Came here the other day and saw the fresh ravioli in the fridge. Man it was so fresh and amazing!! Huge selection of pastas and other itialan delights. Saw some amazing pastas to try. Also they have chocolate from florance company that I had on my recent trip. So now when ever I come here Ill be almost in Italy again. Btw: its really worth the trip for ravioli or pastas as its way better than anything in the us supermarkets!! Ill be by again next time Im in the area!!

A real Italian market in Pasadena. Fair prices, many items only available in specialty shops. Ask the older gentleman for help choosing from many varieties of items for sale -- there are like more than half a dozen Balsamic vinegars for instance. One of the less expensive Balsamics (18 years old, 500ml, about a pint and $20) was incredible. Delicious! Their sandwiches, $5, are very popular and worth the visit just for them.

I just tried this place recently and let me tell you that the famous sandwich is great. Its made with some simple Italian cold cuts, some cheese and a drizzle of olive oil over this great crispy bread that compliment each other perfectly. I heard about this place from the Los Angeles Times Lunchtime with Jonathan Gold and Im sure glad I went.

The adorable old man who makes the sandwiches sold us a Chianti for $10, citing the black rooster as an indicator of the highest quality. After a bit of research we found that this particular vintage sells for about $3, and the taste was so acidic it was almost undrinkable. But Im a grad student, so I drank it.

Great service and selection of imported Italian meats and cheeses. Former chef owner gives great wine advice and gets great prices on hard to find items. This place supplies many local restaurants. Find out when fresh bread comes in because it is delicious with the cold cuts. Calabrese!

I had a Roma Market I loved in bakersfield this one is great. smaller a lot less sitting area for eating. a small bar inside and a few tables outside. nice options. they have items that other health/organic stores dont have. not a huge place but plenty to choose from.

Authentic!! Grab a paper wrapped sandwich off the back counter, made daily. Fresh bread, fresh meats, fresh cheese just waiting for you. Pick from the soft (square) or hard (torpedo) rolls. Almond cookies are great, along with fresh fruits.

Best local Italian market. Home of "The Sandwich" - a simple yet perfect combo of meats, provolone, olive oil and balsamic. Thats it. Also a great place for melons, olive oil, vinegar, imported San Marzaonos and whatnot.

This is an old school italian deli, nothing fancy but great cheeses, meats, olives and bread around, especially the ugly bread. Rosario (Ross) is a treasure and makes the best italian sandwiches in town.

Rosario is just delightful, and yes the mystery grinder IS the best Italian grinder I have ever had!! The hot sausage is perfect, just the right amount of "hot" and spicy- the cavatellis > wonderful

Good, but small, place to get Italian foods including imported tomatoes and pastas. Good selection of Italian cheeses and deli type meats, and they also make good sandwiches for take out.

I love this place! The meats and cheeses are great and my kids love to sample the different flavors. Ross will always send you home happy, and dont forget to order the ugly bread.

Family Owned and stocked with authentic Italian specialties. Back when Pasadena had a vibrant Italian community Roma Market was the nexus. Now this store is all that remains.
