This place is very quaint and airy. The eatery had open aired sitting. Its a casual dining experience, the price is a little high for the food they serve. Nothing stood out or had a wow factor. The have a wide selection of food, but the one that was recommended by lot of reviewers was the kobe roast beef sandwich, which you can make a combo by paying 11$. This meant that you can get a side salad or a soup of the day, I chose the salad. I was very disappointed with what I got. The sandwich was bland, and the bread tasted stale. After 3 bite, I decided I didnt want to waste anymore of my daily calorie allowance on it. So I started on my salad, which was very very disappointing as well, the mix green salad looks dirty as heck. It had the look of salad that was deteriorating because of the water that it came into contact with. So I spent most of my time picking out the gross looking greens, and really only ate the tomatoes. To make matter worse, I sat next to an employee who was on her break. The whole time she was cursing and retelling the story of her horrible date from the previous night. Half way through my meal, I decided to leave because I didnt want to hear anymore of her rants. It was very unprofessional. Why cant she have this convo somewhere else?

This women’s review is utterly ridiculous. I witnessed her rude boorish behavior. From what I understand she was 45 minutes to early and that she only had to wait 3 minutes before the staff sprung to action! She was hell on wheels and obviously had a bad day, or one should hope. She treated the staff as though they were garbage, and the owner had to be called in to try to diffuse the situation. As all other reviewers have described the food quality and service at Porta Via is exceptional! Regarding the "cutting the foot off" comment the owner stated this to try and explain that all humans however educated make mistakes, though she could not understand this concept due to her uncontrolled behavior. If I was the owner I would have told her "we do not serve people like you here"! I do not think Porta Via will care if this Dr. ever visits again, most people who frequent Porta Via are very classy and kind.

Shopping here takes me back to my childhood, buying groceries for my mom to make dinner that night... I went there once and what I had was OK. I want to go back and try more things. The staff is very Italian like "firm but nice" loved it.

The Artisan Salami Sandwich is my favorite they also have a killer double chocolate cookie and some good beers to boot. If you see some of their spiced mixed nuts on the counter you absolutely have to buy some they are delightful. _Bryan

The food quality is fantastic, its quick, friendly, and all of the drink & dessert variety is outstanding. Best dessert bars in town (oreo brownie, smores, blueberry cobbler, etc)

Will always love the Italian food here. Had their pastrami sandwich, and it was amazing. The bread was nice and crispy and the pastrami taste was great. The portion was perfect.

This is one of my daughter and Is favorite spots to eat. I love the custom salads that are MASSIVE. She loves the pesto pasta. Very friendly staff and delicious food.
