Wait! An Italian Deli in Chinatown.... We will save that story for another day. You just cant beat the sandwich! Meatball, chicken parm, beef, sausage, capicola, Italian, whatever. Possibly the best sandwich in town. If you cant make up your mind... Get the DA Special. The food is phenomenal, and you cant beat it. The soups not bad either. Pastas are also great. I go for the sandwiches, and cannoli. The food is phenomenal, and you cant beat it. While you might come here for the service, the guys up front are always on point and prompt. If the line looks long, dont stress, youll be at the front in no time. The place has dim lighting, but who cares? You can see your food and your table good to bough to know its delicious and clean. This is not a place to go if youre dieting. Its place to go when youre gonna be grubbing. Whatever sandwich you get, it will surpass your expectations, and youll be full. Even though youll be full, make sure you get a cannoli anyway. Trust me. The cannoli. No joke, its bomb! I dont know if I go for the sandwich or cannoli.... Maybe both? Go to Eastside and enjoy!

Went here to collect lunch today, it was my first time here so I was excited to try considering what I had heard. I ordered the DA Special, which I split with a friend. Sandwiches are rather large, and the DA Special itself was laden with meat, sauce and cheese. It was absolutely delicious! The only tip I would give would be to eat is asap. We did not eat the sandwich immediately, so as can be expected the bread got pretty soggy. We also got some potatoes salad which was lovely. And for desert, some cannolis, also delicious! Staff were nice, parking was on the street and pretty busy even though we were there at 11.20am, I can only imagine what lunchtime is like.

Oh man, dont look at me while I am vulnerable Sigh...I wish I could borrow Wayne Szalinskis shrink gun, put it reverse so that I can blow up the #7 Pastrami & Roast Beef Sandwich into a life sized house so that I could live in it everyday for the rest of my life. I would invite you all over for dinner and eat out of the juicy rolls of dripping pastrami. You can even sleep over if you like and wrap yourselves in the lining of fat that comes on the pastrami. I must ask you to take off your shoes though so that you dont taint the goodness of the juices my house has been marinating in for so long.

Everything that there is to love about an Italian Deli is exemplified by Eastside. Despite that Ive watch the prices rise over the past several years, the food quality, thankfully, remains exemplary. From the roast beef and pastrami sandwich to the sausage/ meatball pasta and lasagna, every bite of any Eastside meal satisfies my foodie hopes and dreams. Though the line may seem long at any given moment especially around the corporate lunchtime, rest assured that you will receive your fresh, delicious meal within a few minutes.

Eastside Market is my favorite spot to drop by for a REAL deli sandwich complete with racks of chips, tons of homemade sides in the cold case and a little family bickering behind the counter, just like home! I usually go with the cold cuts sammy but if Im eating in the hot sandwiches are AMAZING. Patrami and roast beef? You cant beat it. They also have a small section of Italian essentials (sauce, pasta, etc) to buy. GO HERE. Eat with the cops and city official and eastsiders. You can thank me later.

Its not busy if you come in during the morning, so it didnt take long for my food to be ready. I ordered the number 7, roast beef/pastrami/cheese. They dont skimp out on the meat and the portions are huge. If you dont like your sandwiches soggy and messy, you might not like it. It tasted good, but I was expecting a medley of flavors, something stronger. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and the ambience is nice and chill in there. Maybe Ill come back for the other sandwich selections.

I tried the roast beef and pastrami sandwich on my first visit. The service was fast and friendly. It was so fast, I was expecting my hot sandwich to be served cold or room temperature. Im happy to report the sandwich was piping hot! The peppers and onions were cooked perfectly. The bread was excellent as well. The roast beef and pastrami were both flavorful and rich without being too fatty. I was pleasantly surprised how well the flavors mingled.

This place is just AWESOME, I used to live in L.A. and was able to enjoy it often, now, living in South Florida I miss them big time. Of course every time I come to L.A. I have to have their wonderful pastrami with sauce and cheese sandwich, or the pastrami & roast beef, both are to die for <3 BEST PLACE EVER!!! Oh! and the people who work in there have always been super nice (at least to me, but I think everybody whos been there might say the same)

A true to form Italian Deli. You walk in, place your order and bada-bing! the food is there in no time. Great place for a quick lunch. Got to try the lasagna, Italian sausage, Italian cold cut sandwich and the cannolis. Everything was great, especially the cannolis which are a mere $1.50 (if youve ever bough a cannoli you know this is a good price). Good bang for your buck if your in the area. Give it a shot.

This 80+ year old Italian deli is one of LAs hidden secrets. Tucked in a residential neighborhood and obstructed by the Pasadena freeway serves no-frills hot and/or cold sandwiches. One of favorites is the meatball sandwich. And, all though the following may be fighting words, I dare say it rivals any east coast meatball sandwich. Equally delicious is the lasagna - the Thursday lunch special.

Dirty and dingy on the outside, but serving up some of the most delicious italian sub Ive ever tasted. My friends and I always look back on our meal there "the number seven": roast beef and pastrami on a soft loaf then doused in jus. It was the size of an newborn baby and weighed about that too. It was sloppy and tasty and god I loved it. Will be back when Im down in LA. ALWAYS GET THE #7.

Iv been frequenting Eastside Market since high school in 86. My now adult kids and their friends have grown up also enjoying the food. Whether youre in the mood for a sandwich, their soup or their lasagna, you cant go wrong. Weve tried almost everything on the menu. We also enjoy their cold cut plates and party size sandwiches. I would definitely recommend this place.

A neighborhood favorite, very popular on Dodger game days. Order ahead for pickup if you dont want to stand in line. Great and satisfying sandwiches wrapped in heavy white butcher paper; I feel like Im in east coast. Theres also a large eat-in space. The shop is in a residential area, so curb parking depends on time of day and day of week, but otherwise free.

Yup the best Pastrami and Roast Beef on the planet. Roast Beef.... better that Philipes down the road. And these sandwiches didnt shrink over the years like theirs did. stop by you wont be sorry. oh and you can take it to go, as them to pack it all separately and when you get home, just heat up and piece it together. Mmmm and you ready devour. Enjoy.
