I went with some friends and my girlfriend after mid night, the service was crap after asking if we can change tables. They took forever just to take our order, most likely no one from that "section" wanted to attend us. The lady from the previous table we were on, felt obligated to serve us like if she didnt want too just because that wasnt her section. Then after we got our drinks, my girlfriend found a used nasty toothpick in her drink. After waiting a while more for the food, the food eventually came in. My friend had ordered 3 scrambled and what he got back didnt look like 3 scrambled eggs. It looked more like one. We didnt bother saying anything becuase the lady was kind of giving us attitude. She was basically already rushing us out becuase she was already charging us with out me asking for the check.

Not too thrilled with the service or quality of food this was the first time at this Norms Restaurant and it will be my last as well. I ordered a Belgian waffle along with steak and eggs and the waffle itself was gooey and Joey should have been undercooked I suggest to anyone if theyre planning on eating at this location to specifically ask for their Belgian waffle to be toasty or they might suffer the same experience. The steak and eggs were no frills. All in all a general meal for General sit down prices just dont expect to get catered to at this location as much as you would like the childs menu or more of adult side order options I suggest if you want to give something to your child stay away from the kids meal and Order sides off the menu basically it will be the same thing

Totally agree with Gary about the HORRIBLE experience at this restaurant. Me and my family waited 20 minutes with no attention from crew members, we were told by the cashier in the register to go ahead and have a seat. Keep in mind that there was no server who lead us to our table or handed out menus. Another server in the same floor didnt bother to ask if we needed anything. She was just chit-chatting with her other co-worker who wasnt even on the clock even though we came in before her co-worker, she decided to server her first. As well as other customers while our service was denied. Never ever coming back again!

Service was excellent but there was a lack of communication And coordination with servers. We had 4 servers ask for our order and one apologized because she wasnt suppose to be our server ,and introduced us to a 5th server who took our drink order but didnt bring the water I asked for. The food came cold and I ordered 2 eggs scrambled and they brought them in a huge plate. It looked awful and unappatezing. Then the cashier , have me wrong change and when I told her she said I was wrong, then I told her the math and she realized she was wrong and she never apologized. So I wouldnt recommend this particular norms.

the food and service are excellent. it doesnt matter at what time you arrive, youre always treated equally. ive been here early, early morning and late, late at night, and have never noticed a difference as to how people treat me. the food is great, i always eat their veggie burger and always enjoy it much more than the previous time. some of their waitresses may need an attitude adjustment, but just smile back, pay no attention to them. the manager, the skinny one, hes really cute but doesnt speak much. the shakes are good, specially the oreo shake.

I was at Norms for dinner after extremely heavy day at work. I ordered the sampler plater and as my daughter is about to dip her chicken strip in the ranch my spouse notices a bug (termite bug) on the chicken strip. I notified the waitress and seemed like she didnt even care. It was so disgusting. I wanted to just walk out of there and not eat anything we order but obviously my children were hungry so we waited for our regular meal. Horrible experience. I think Ill never go back.

Avoid The food is mediocre and arrives cold or barely warmish. The serving take takes too long, it would have been faster if I cooked my food. Sunny side up eggs not cooked correctly, can you say food poisoning. The stake was rubbery,the pancakes tasteless, the sausages almost dehydrated, and the bacon appears to have been bulked cooked along with some that burned, it had lost of burned pieces. A waist of time and Money.

was there last Saturday ordered went to restroom full of urine on floor and was slippery. they dontvhave decency of putting partition between urinals. food was nasty. ordered French. toast. Seemed like someone had vacuumed the bread and corners were thick and hard to cut. PEOPLE theres Dennys and I hop around the corner. second experience in 15 years first in Alhambra, ca similar experience.

Bad service, avoid it. If you have time and gas in your car I recommend going to the norms in whittier. The waiters in the Downey norms are always late with the orders and to top it off they always mess up the order too. They messed up my order two times and we demanded to speak to the manager but like always there is no manager. So please avoid the frustration and eat some where else!!!!

I literally just left this Norms and let me say, I can tell they have GREAT MASSAGES HERE!!! Forget about the food, the manager was having a hard time during her extremely intense, complex, and TIRING job. She even got a deluxe massage by two of the waiters while sitting down. Our very kind waiter Austin seemed to be carrying all of the work due to his name being called for everything.

Just left norms with no food.. Horrible service been sitting for 15min N noone even bother to take my order as I was walking out saw some workers chatting N I complain that instead of chatting they should help serve the ppl she said she wasnt a waitress ! Really! If she not waitress nor manager what the hell is she!? Still she didnt Even bother helping so had to storm out that place!

Horrible! This place has horrible service. I am a regular, and every time i go its bad service, bad waiters, and food its either cold or burnt. I go to Downey cuz it is closest to my residence, but today drew the line, From now on i will go to a different location. Twice i have gotten up and have left, no one greeted us , brought us menus, or asked if we were ok or needed anything.

Excellent. Very friendly employees. Greeted immediately upon entering. Loved the server (cute tall slender lady) very attentive. We had a small request and that was to bring our pancakes after the main dishes so they wouldnt be cold). She didnt miss a beat. Plenty of refills without being asked. Other workers here very friendly and welcoming. Will revisit this Norms often.
