They have good selection of Chinese bread and pastries. I like the sweet toast, its a thick cut loaf of bread that looks like sweetened milk is drizzled on top and toasted. The baked bbq buns and pineapple buns are also good. I tried others but dont know the names but most of the bread and pastries that they have are good. We usually get cakes here for birthdays because the cakes are so pretty, adorned with lots of fruits (fruit flavored cakes), tasty and not too sweet (which my diabetic relatives approve of).

stopped by hoping to pick up an egg tart or two after grocery shopping at Safeway, but they didnt have any, so I just settled for a hot HK style milk tea less sweet. For Bay Area standards, this ones ok. It wasnt too sweet and had a creamy flavor, but the tea quality wasnt the best. It wasnt bold or fragrant enough. On the plus side, it came in a pretty big cup, and it was cheap (less than $2). For the price, I could see myself getting one again after shopping. The milk tea at Eggettes is still way better.

Lots of good options. They also have great employees with good customer satisfaction skills. This bakery has been my main bakery for years before I start for office. I personally appreciate the long time employees who work hard and ensure customer satisfaction - Shoshan, Derrick, Mandy, Zoe, Kevin to name a few. My neighbor complained earlier about one employee who is very rude and was selectively rude to him, but I dont see her working there anymore. So no need to worry about rude employees anymore.

I have been to many asian bakerys but never saw cream cheese filled pastries. At Sheng Kee they have a few the blackberry cream cheese bun was absolutely delicious! The custard roll was good, the buns are well cooked and everything in the bakery looked tasty. Its a tad pricier than other places but still very cheap. The place is clean and theres a few seating in the back, so you can sit and enjoy your treats.

The items at this bakery are extremely well priced. They do sell savory sandwiches as well as a large selection of pastries. The only downside of going here is that I tend to get everything in site. Everything is made fresh daily, and it is very easy to over buy. The store is a bit small, so it can get crowded.

This is a better Sheng Kee Bakery with a vast selection of pastries, cakes, and warm/cold drinks. Two to three tables in the small dining area. Fairly clean bakery with nice and quick cashiers. Ample amount of free parking all around Westlake Shopping Center and only a 5 min walk from the SamTrans bus stops.
