Before going there, I read the reviews and I did not expect high quality food and service. My husband and I went there for Lunch and we were surprised by awesome food. Its true that staff there do not smile or do not behave like staff in other restaurants, but I think its just their lack of English. I do believe they are really nice people. About food, there were a variety of delicious food. Beef, chicken, fish, shrimp, sushi and crabs with different taste and different method of cooking. Different kind of vegetables and fresh fruits like mango, banana, watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple and orange. For desert, there were different kind of cake and caramel. I can not imagine a meal better than this. At the end we expect a bill $40-50, But it cost just 17.98 for two people which is great. I definitely go there when I need all kind of foods in one meal :) It worth to try. Just remember drink is not included the buffet price.

My name is Ayla Rogers, and I wanted to take some time to share my outstanding experience at this fine establishment. ^_^ Despite mediocre reviews, I decided to try New China Buffet and was pleasantly surprised. The food variety is extensive; there truly is something for everyone. Whether youre looking for oil-free steamed veggies, fresh made sushi, delicious lychees, dim sum, deep-fried oriental delicacies or Western staples, New China Buffet has you covered. The staff are friendly and attentive, but never overbearing, and you can go back to the buffet as often as youd like. The refill service on my drink was great! I think I got six sodas! I cannot attest to the authenticity of the Chinese food, but I can promise you authentic hospitality and a positive atmosphere. Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with New China Buffet!

Terrible! Not even worth one star. The lady cleaning the lobby washed everything with the same rag, the seats where we rip ass and kids pooh, then the tables, where we eat, thats a health hazard and if any food safety inspectors saw that they would be shut down, the cook was standing in front of the entrance smoking and its littered with cigarette buts, I payed 13 dollars after eating only 6 pieces of what was supposed to be general tsos chicken and left. It was that bad. Gotta say worst waste of money Ive spent on what was supposed to be a good vacation from home. I strongly dont recommend this place, if you want something better and more tasty you can get that from panda express, which is not a favorite by far, but still better.

Although I havent had their food I could tell that, for buffet style food, its quality is top notch. Over the week end a co-worker and I were there pulling in new telecommunications lines for new lottery updates. The Telecom room was located in just so that we had to walk through the kitchen quite a few times. In these few times we were walking through the kitchen, cooks were hard at work doing prep work, as well as greeting us with sanitized towels, brooms and mops. They were very meticulous about sanitation. Furthermore, they were joking, having a grand old time and moving about as if we werent even there. This is one organized kitchen and if Im ever in Corvallis again Ill be sure to stop by for a good meal.

Awful. Im not picky about my asian food. In fact I like the cheap asian diners, I think they make awesome food. But this place sucked, food wise. When I go to buffets I try a little bit of everything. The chicken was soggy, the beef was soggy, the grapes had soured, the food was just horrible. The service was good. Whenever we finished a plate (almost always still full of bad food) it was gone quickly. Our drinks were refilled before they were empty. Then I payed. Two adults and two kids, with two drinks and it was $62. I asked her if they charged for water and she thought I was joking. Will not be returning.

Its a Chinese buffet restaurant... really awful Chinese food, depressing atmosphere, rude staff. Its also quite expensive ($11.99 for dinner) considering the quality of the food. The waitress did do a fair job of keeping my glass filled with water and I was able to walk in and start eating immediately, which I suppose is the only true benefit of eating here. Do yourself a favor and head up the street to King Tin (good Chinese food)... or even McDonalds if youre looking for something quick.

Honestly ive been going here for years it was my favorite restaurant but everytime ive gone in the past 3 years its getting worse. Unfortunately today my husband took me out for dinner and it was one of the worst Chinese ive ever ate :( the food was terrible I asked the lady I knew who worked there if they got a new owner and she said yes I told her how horrible it was hopefully they do something about it. Ill stick to the golden town Chinese buffet in albany from now on

The rice and shrimp were good, but I noticed the quality of the rest of the food was not as good as when I had been there a couple of years before. The oil they used tasted bad and some of the food was not fully cooked. The broccoli tasted yukky. The green beans were ok. They had no hot sauce. I had to spit the food into my napkin, twice and left half of my plate full. Different cook than before, I dont know. I just know Im not going back.

Arrived at 8pm, more pans were empty than full. They brought out 3 new items in 45 min and even when I asked if fresh food would be put out she said everything fine. No crab legs, 3 pieces of cake were out when we arrived and 1 when we left. 38 dollars for 3 people we only drank water. Very disappointing you are way better to go to Albanys chinese buffet.

I have eaten here like a dozen times. You pay the money, you chow down on an amazing variety of food. All you can eat. I do sushi and fruit and ribs and prawns and chicken and ... the food is pretty good, I am doing 5 stars also because the people who own the place are very sweet and kind. I know folks who have eaten here almost weekly for several years.

Very rude and scornful staff. These gals working there are so feeling entitled. When its about the tip time, they expect a big, fat tip but when its the service time they are slacking off, avoiding you, being rude and like you are the server and they are the clients!!! what kinda business policy is that...?!!!!!! This place doesnt even deserve one star.

My husband and I love Chinese food but our kids dont. This buffet is perfect for our family because it is a mix of American faves and yummy Chinese. The wait staff is fairly attentive and the food is as good as any other Chinese restaurant in the area. Food is always plentiful and refreshed regularly. Added bonus: Free meal on your birthday! :)
