Come hungry because Los Toros portion sizes are very filling. Doesnt matter if you order food for breakfast, lunch or dinner... your going to get a lot of food on your plate! And speaking of filling, they have some awesome (free) bean dip *you can ask for vegetarian friendly bean dip fyi*( which is freakkkkking amazing!), salsa and chips to munch on while you wait for your food to arrive. You have 3 places to choose from to sit which are: at the bar, on the patio or in a large section inside (fully covered room). They have a full bar and they have many Mexican types of beers on tap (I like Corona and Modelo the best!) Speaking of drinks their house margarita on the rocks is pretty bomb!I really liked the veggie burrito plate (Comes with Mexican rice and beans) and I loaded it up with their salsa. So good! *Other important information: They have Sunday brunch from 10am to 3pm (Havent been to it yet, but I heard about it from the bartender, when I asked about Happy Hour specials.) During the brunch you can do bottomless mimosas, which sounds veryyyyyyyy inviting in my book. Happy hour is from 3pm to 7pm, but not fully sure what days. But they seem to have daily specials of something everyday, even on the weekends. Parking is pretty awesome... FINALLY I find a parking lot thats decently sized for a large restaurant! Off the 118 Freeway and not too far from the 101 Freeway if your looking for a place to steer away from the traffic madness and grab some grub and have a cold beer!

Time is precious, so my husband and I thought wed read the reviews for this restaurant. Ive eaten at the restaurant twice in last 18 months, both times for birthdays, not my idea. Bean dip was great, service slow, finding parking competes with winning lotto. My husband has a jones to try it. Ill let you know how it goes. I do find it interesting that there are no recent reviews??? Write back at you later. Time is more precious than ever and so is finding a good restaurant. We went there with an open mind. In our opinion, dont waste your time or money. First, the hostess took our name and later seated us all while eating a hard candy stick. Wait not long, but she took us to our table, pointed to it and left, still eating candy. Dip great, salsa- nothing sets it apart, chips - some burnt, margaritas - nothing sets it apart, soup great, the entrees were horrible. This restaurant kicks Taco Bell up a few notches. The "Bull #2- crab and what ever was inside did not blend, tortilla was gummy, the Bull #9 - shimp dish, was very plain and the side chili rellano had a different taste and was served floating in a pinkish clear corn starchy or gummy liquid. I hope you all expect more for $57.00 for three people, we do!

Food was good, but although we arrived & ordered first out of four tables, we were served last of the four. The third table to arrive & order had finished their food, paid, and left by the time we got our food, to give you an idea of how long we had to wait. We were offered no explanation. When I finally said something about it he told us he had put all four orders in at the same time and apologized. Restaurant tickets are numbered last time I checked. And its not like we had special orders, they were just burritos. It seems to me if the first of four is served last you should have a good explanation or delay the other orders so we get ours first, or at least simultaneously. The wait put a damper on everything, which isnt what youre looking for in a restaurant experience. They are in dire need of table management when busy, or at least the server we had is. Be aware of your customers, the numerical order of your tickets, and whats going on in the kitchen. If something somehow got delayed, go tell your customers. Id still go back and give them another chance because I liked the food; my wife is not so charitable. She was not impressed with the carne asada burrito. But this is my review, so: 3 stars

The best! Absolutely great experience all around. Sunday brunch with the fresh menudo is my favorite! Bean dip is amazing and Bottomless Mimosas with live mariachi! Weather you stop by during the week, lunch, dinner or happy hour or weekend this place is going to deliver a great experience from start to end. The staff is friendly and fast to get people seated and accommodate large groups as well. Once you are seated you get a basket of chips and bean dip that is the best dip I have ever tried. Drink special vary depending on the day you go and time but be sure to try the margaritas which are prepared an done in a very excellent quality. The food: I could go on for ever about the food here, just no matter what you choose , the item you end up picking will be done as if your grandmother made it at home with the care and flavor that makes homemade meals feel and taste so much better than anything. Los Toros has been in business for a very long time and is clear why so many people from all over come to have a meal there over the years and still attracting more people. I highly recommend this place, infact Ill go with you!

Homestyle Mexican food from a great, family-run restaurant. The new phone boo..I mean Gigantic Menu Books may be hard for we senior citizens to navigate, or even to heft upward as we seek the familiar list of "Bulls": a long-running set of excellent combination or specialty plates including pork medallions ("Alambres Mexicanos") and el ultimo mas fino, "Aarons" the 9th Bull. The margaritas are generous, the chips are fresh and salted, the salsa is excellent (ask for the rare picante batch) and the bean dip is a justified legend dampened only by serving containers far too parsimonious to meet the needs of Montano family customers who actually ask to sit in the "old section" because it reminds us of a time when the food was exactly as good, the service was exactly as friendly, there were horses hitched out back and the current owner was just a cute kid working for his dad. This is great, old Los Angeles style Mexican food and theres no place better for a fun, relaxing, excellent meal. Now, how do I convince Nick to allow me to bring my own bowl for the bean dip?

Los Toros is a wonderful restaurant most of the time, food is always top notch, and the drinks are some of the best around. My friends and I have been coming here for the better part of a few years and during our last visit we were seated with a sever by the name of Doris, who was perhaps one of the worst severs Ive ever have the displeasure of serving me. Not only did she fail to do a single quality check until after the food was long since eaten, but she clearly went out of her way to check on her other tables instead of us. When we brought this problem to the manager attention, Nora, she told us that this sever had received praise and essentially told us we were wrong in bringing our issues forward. While our experience was less than stellar we did want to compliment the young gentlemen who brought us our chips on a regular basis and the other gentleman who made our guacamole. We didnt get their names but they deserve kudos for their excellent attentiveness.
