I come here mainly for the smoked salmon - about $18 a pound - which is the best Ive found here in the South Bay (Im in San Jose) and far, far superior to the packaged stuff you can buy in the major grocery stores, for the dark Russian and German breads and for the Russian teas which are strong and delicious. The Pelemeni are good but fattening and so I dont get to enjoy them as much as I wish - especially not with the "real" sour cream they sell! Sigh. Good sausage and smoked fish of many varieties. Various Caviars, of course, from relatively inexpensive to Buluga which will set you back $50 for a couple of ounces. Imported wines and spirits from Russia and Eastern Europe which are on the expensive side and I buy only on special ocassions for the novelty of being able to bring a friend a bottle of Georgian sparkling wine or real Russian vodka. I have not eaten there ... yet. We are lucky to have this place in the South Bay because otherwise you would have to go to San Francisco.
