We were very excited the first time we came here. It is dog friendly out on the patio area which is important to us. The food was great and it is very close to our home in the mountains. The 2nd and 3rd time, food is still good but the service is lacking. The 2nd time we went was on a Sunday and the band was playing. It was busy so we gave them some slack and based our visit on that. We went a 3rd time on a Saturday, got there early before the band was playing. Not very busy but still waited about 45 minutes before our order came out. Waitress apologized but blamed it on the craziness of the kitchen. She never refilled water glasses or asked if we wanted more to drink. I hope they succeed but something is missing as far as service as they have a great location and food is good. It will be awhile before we go back

The ribeye steak was rubbery and tasted like ground chuck, the meal took about 35 minutes to arrive with only one other couple at the restaurant. Waitress was very pleasent but never came by after bringing us our dinner or apologize with the long wait. This subject came up on 95033talk...5 people all said they would not go back...Summit House needs to fix this...maybe a better Happy Hour or maybe some 2 for 1 coupons sent to homes in the area. I would hate for them to close but something needs to be done for the quality of the food and wait times.

This place had undergone several changes in ownership over the years, never successful. Recently (2015) they began hosting live music, and it has really improved their success. Decent food (limited menu), good bar, and live Bluegrass every Thursday evening all year long. Also VERY kid-friendly with outdoor deck and play space. Weve gone from occasionally dropping by to being regular visitors now.

great place to stop to/from your way to/from Santa Cruz Enjoy your beer out of the patio with a fantastic view of the mountains. Prices are reasonable. I liked the cappachino lagonutas beer on draft. Relax take your time enjoy your beer and the view great atmosphere here. We were served right away. No waiting

A very nice staff, family-owned. Gotta Love The View, the food and the beers on tap. It was nice to let the kids play at the playground and listen to live music on Saturdays. I would definitely recommend coming to see their live music I believe it starts at 2 oclock every Saturday. Definitely coming back.

I didnt expect much, just a nice view. We group had the fish and chips and portabella burger, both quite good. Really liked the onion rings. Service was good and friendly. If like me, you pass it all the time and never go in, youll likely be surprised there is a good meal on the top of the hill.

We waited 40 minutes for a ribeye steak tasted like ground chuck but the burgers were okay in the past enjoy the music but dont order the steak. This place is kind of hit and miss. The waitress never apologized for the length of time it took to cook a steak so we probably wont come back.

Friendly staff. Drinks are very very expensive but for the location theyre average. Right off the freeway and a great place to stop. Food is fantastic. Great place to stop for breakfast or dinner.

Stopped in to use the restroom. Restrooms are for customers only, they let me promise to buy an apple. I peed. I bought an apple for 0.81$. It was great. Good apple, friendly staff.

The burgers are really good. And I love to go on karaoke night. Fries never seem to taste right. Either too soft or stale. Also they dont have a full bar, only beer and wine.
