Never did I think I would let alone LIKE Indian Food, I LOVE it and this all because of The Curry Leaf. The owner Sandy is VERY personable and friendly. Now, I just go in and he brings me whatever, it is ALL GREAT! So I am puzzled with Daniels comment dated Jul 18, 2010 "Absurdly, comically bad service", really? YOU must have had a bad day. I have been a customer since this place opened and I have never heard anyone complain. The wait time is worth it. My Santa Rosa Valley and Spanish Hill buddies ALL love the place and are blown away at how well Sandy and the staff treat them. BTW, Indian take out, hmm?

I was drawn to this place because of the great reviews, but it is certainly not all its cracked up to be. The service was very slow and there is no music playing in the restaurant, which always makes for a weird vibe. Also, it is a VERY small restaurant (probably seats 40-50 max,) so be prepared to wait for a table on a weekend night. The food was just okay. We specifically asked for our chicken tikka masala to be prepared very spicy, and it had no spice at all, didnt even burn one bit. Also, the naan tasted somewhat stale. I am sure there are better Indian places in neighboring cities.

Sandy is the best! Weve eaten at some pretty delicious Indian restaurants in the valley and tried all the local ones, but the Curry Leaf has the best food hands down. Its always perfect. Everything is bursting with flavor. Dont miss the garlic cauliflower and Indian fries, and if you like something spicy go for the kashmiri or vindaloo! Dont settle for the white rice- get the saffron rice, and dont forget the garlic naan! I wish I was eating it right now!!! We miss you Sandy.

The owner, Sandy, is amazing! He is always smiling and running around like a humming bird! Great host and he oversees the food that comes out to your table. Let me just say, I didnt know I liked Indian food until I ate at The Curry Leaf. IT IS AMAZING FOOD! Presentation is great, food tast is out of this world. I have not had the same dish twice. Every bite will make your mouth say thanks!

Whenever were in Southern California, we make sure we have at least one meal here (or at least grab some take-out). The Manchurian Cauliflower is the best I have ever had anywhere. Its a must-have. I can eat an order by myself. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. The owner is super friendly and I wish hed open a location here in Denver, CO.

I happened upon this place recently. Ive been there twice already for lunch. The lunch specials are superb, especially the vegetarian selections. Lunch specials come with nan bread, a variety of dips, rice and the main dish. Service is friendly, food is delicious and the prices are very, very reasonable. Lunch special is currently right around $10.

FANTASTIC!!!! Food and customer service is top notch. Your drink will never even get to halfway empty and you will be greeted with a smile and a "welcome boss" every visit. We have come here every two weeks since moving to Camarillo and we dont expect that to stop anytime soon. Fantastic is the only word to describe.

Terrible service!!! We waited for an hour and the customers after us had got their food way before us. Waiter was unapologetic about the wait and was rude explaining that the food will take a little longer. If thats the type of service they exhibit dont waste your money. First time Ive ever walked out of a restaurant.

Best Indian food in the area. They have a good cook for preparing Indo-Chinese dishes.. I never had such excellent food before in US. Specially Chilly Paneer is excellent. Whenever I am in Thousand Oaks area, I try to go and eat here. Ambiance & Service are decent, surely not best in class.

Fantastic curry selection. Sandy taught me allot about Indian food. He will order up for you if you want to take it easy. cauliflower special is awesome. Go for masala, Korma and Vindaloo they are superb. He takes special care of rice and naan! Lots of cool inventions too.

Food is worth 5 stars. My problem was..... spending 45$ for two people and leaving the place hungry. Wasnt the fastest, but not as slow as some of the other reviews, although there was only three tables. I had the fish curry which was great.

Bummed. Went today and filled up on the appetizer. Barely touched my lunch so asked for it to be wrapped to go. Opened later and They only sent home 1 piece of Korma! No rice and where is the rest of my chicken.

Vq1ery rude waiting staff, most woody okra and tasteless Aloo Pratha I have ever had. The bill presented was not itemized. The owner was unhappy when asked for the itemized bill. I do not recommend this place!

UK Indian Restaurant flavor is brought right here in Ventura County!! The presentation of the food is 10/10! Portions are big! All is freshly made, you can taste it! I wish they had served liquor

Awesome Indian food. Lamb in kashmiri sauce will melt your face. Get there early. The tables are taken by 6:30 and theres maybe 10 of them. Say hi to Sandy, hes an awesome host.

Super good curry, though it was a little light on the chicken to curry sauce ratio. Its a really small restaurant, so eating here can mean a wait and a bit of a cramped vibe.

Amazing food. Best thing on the menu for me is Rajma Aloo for lunch. Superb taste and food is fresh. Naan is also great.
