Was in Fillmore on business, and that small inner voice of mine said to give this place a try. Am I glad I listened this time? You bet I am! While not fancy, this place had top notch service, and the home made chorizo was phenomenal, well, at least it was some of the best I ever tasted, and not even slightly greasy, as is often the case elsewhere. I stopped for breakfast, and would recommend Vallarta in Fillmore to anybody. Good home style cooking and a friendly staff make this a place I will go back to every time I am in the vicinity. Great Refried Beans, and the papas were just right also! Nice!

Ate there and was exremely disapointed in the food and the service. I saw the advertised homemade corn tortillas, so I ordered some, I wont eat corn tortillas unless their homemade, the waitress came back with our food and gave us regular corn tortillas and were our of home made. Then the food was terrible. We travel a lot and are always on the lookout for good Mexican restaurants, this place does not qualify.

Fillmore being such a small town you would think we would be limited in our choices of places to eat but thats not the case at all, at least when it comes to getting"Good" mexican food and Vallarta Restaurant is right at the top of the list, they deliver excellent service and most importantly the food is always delicious,next best thing to making it at home.

Noisy acoustics. Very slow, inattentive service. Hard to get drinks refilled. Okay food. Some items not in stock, though you are not told when ordering that dish... until it arrives missing items. Disappointing and uninspiring. Sad as we wanted it to be great.

Very good food and reasonable prices. The are famous for their margaritas. They come in a pitcher that sits in middle of table and has a spigot to pour into everyones glasses.
