I visited this place a few years ago and remember eating one of the best lasagnas Ive ever had. I went there again today and the experience was a total disappointment. They took the lasagna out of the menu (why???) so I tried the "Conchiglie al Pollo". The food was unappealing, with basically sad, wet pasta swimming in a "soup like" sauce over hastily cut pieces of chicken breast. Others in our party had different dishes with similar experiences. Im not a picky eater and usually get happy with any "Italian(ish)" food, but they managed to make bad (and expensive, relatively speaking) Italian food. This may be a good place for people who associate quality with high prices. If thats your case, by all means, please visit the place. If you like good *tasting* food, you might want to stay away.

This place has been my favorite restaurant for a long time, that was the reason why I choose to celebrate my best friends birthday, we ordered marguerita pizza to start as a appetizer and it was perfect simple, crunchy and tasty as we requested, after that we orders lasagna, linguini mare chiaro both were really good, the food was amazing and also the service was great too, Our server Maria was delightfully pleasant she had a beautiful smile, the only reason why Im not giving it 5 stars is because at the end of the meal a tall guy was yelling at our server very close and we felt uncormtable, we assume it was the manager and we found that attitude very unprofessional.

Update 2017: last few times food has been very good. Festa regionale lasagna was excellent. Service was slow. Rating upped. The wait staff is desperate and annoying, trying to boost their tips by pushing you to order drinks, appetizers and desserts. If you dont order expensive drinks and appetizers, then their mood is noticeable annoyed. If you share a pizza with your kids instead of ordering a separate entree, theyre even more upset. The food is actually decent - although the same formula for many of the dishes gets a little old.

Pretty good portions for the price, came here with my cousin for brunch. I was expecting the staff to be snooty but they werent at all. The manager even came by to wish us "Bon Appetito" as I was about to stuff my face with my french toast & mascarpone cheese. I would definitely come back to it again! Im getting hungry as I type out this review. Apparently its a bay area chain, well either way, if its a Bay area company.. Ill support it. Next step, take the hubby here for brunch if he actually wakes up in time.... ever.

Good chain restaurant serving tasty Italian food. Their bread is pretty amazing. They get very busy here around dinner time since their food is especially good for families in the Burlingame area, they have something for everyone. The atmosphere feels pretty upscale even though it is a chain, and the price reflects that. Their brunch isnt quite as good. We go there when we want good everyday Italian cooking with a family-friendly atmosphere. Interior feels festive somehow.

What a great excuse to leave the city and explore Burlingame. Ive big a big fan of Il Fornaio Carmel but Burlingames is not far behind. Its a big restaurant but it feels so intimate, not sure how they accomplished this. Great decor, good as good as always, staff was knowledgeable and friendly. This is one of the coolest buildings in the neighborhood and perfectly located to do some shopping or more drinks after. perfect location for brunch, would love to go back soon.

I would give 0 stars if that were an option. We ordered drinks and our food at the same time. Got our drinks. 30 minutes later drinks are empty, our waiter passed our table and did not ask if we wanted another drink. We had still not received our food. We ended up closing out for the drinks. No apologies, no comp. Worst service I have every received! I will never be coming back here. We ran into another patron outside and he had to wait 40 minutes for his food!

I especially like ❤️ from service to food are first class. My husband is a native of Italy. And he is the third generation born in the United States. We often go to this E hall with E. The basic two to three times a month. Feel particularly enjoy. The taste of home. Overseas Chinese people want to try. Satisfaction guaranteed. Value for money. Taste steady flow. If we do not think it will be the time of LAB taste of it ...... ❤️❤️❤️

I might have gone in with higher expectations than I should have. Food was ok. Waiter couldnt tell me why two wines from Piedmont had Piedmont spelled two different ways. A staff member spilled plate of oil/balsamic for bread on our table but didnt change the cloth. Like I said... my expectations may have been high. Its a decent food spot. Large format, not quaint.

My husband and I were there Saturday night. Very slow service. We requested butter three times before it arrived. The waiter, after delivering our food, NEVER came back to see how we doing. We saw another waiter offer grated cheese for the soup. We had to ask someone, other than our waiter, for the grated cheese. We are NOT GOING BACK! Terrible service.

Food was alright, though I was ignored by my server for a time where I had completely finished my food and my plate had been taken away and I had to wait quite a while for him to come close enough to order dessert and get my check. I would have flagged down someone else but there were no other servers it seemed in the section where I was at.

Really not a good experience. A part from a hair baked inside the bread, food is really gross and really not good italian one. Service was also really average and no attention or care. When we showed the hair in the bread, the waiter did not seem to be shocked. Beautiful location and place but not sure I would go back again.

The atmosphere is laid back but classy. There is a nice vibe in the restaurant. They do carry out, so if you cant get a table thats a nice option. I had the delicious Tuscan chicken. The skin was crispy while the meat was tender. There potatoes were nicely done. I thought that the green beans and carrots were rather bland.

Decadent wine, dishes and desserts. Full bar, vast dinning area for large parties even outdoor seating. Seems to be a very popular restaurant and I know why. The food had nice presentation but more importantly, it tasted amazing. A very Italian feel. The service was prompt regardless of how busy it was. Highly recommended.

Food was excellent. Service was slow at first, but was fine once the main waiter took my order. Food came up extremely fast even during weekend peak hours. Nice ambience, clean, and friendly staff. I sat at the counter so I cant speak to the rest of dining experience. Plenty of public parking in the area.

The bread is good, the food is authentic Italian, but still not much better than at the Olive Garden. The prices however are top notch and lunch for two came to $87 plus tip. The parking is the absolute pits and close to nonexistent, unless you are willing pay $11 for valet parking service.
