What makes a good diner / coffee shop? Leisurely atmosphere, simple but good food, and lots of "character". Lancers in Burbank has all three plus some. The little things I like are; free constant coffee refills (in a real cup), sugar in a glass sugar dispenser, large roomy tables (you can stay as long as you like), constant flow of local color, and servers that make you feel like a special guest. They also know how to make scrambles eggs "soft". I usually have breakfast at Lancers once a week, and sometime dinner. As a fan of "coffee shops", I rate Lancers very high.

Maria is our waitress if we can get her table. The bus boys are super efficient. Waitresses, hostesses theyre all super kind, very welcoming. I always seem to order french fries when I shouldnt so I sometimes like to substitute fruit for fries but Lance fruit has never been ripe I wish they would work on that now that theres a new owner. It seems senseless to serve fruit thats not ready to eat. But on Saturday nights its T-bone steak night. I havent had it bad Tbone yet from Lancer its definitely a family restaurant.

Love this spot, the staff is great, very friendly atmosphere and they seat you quite fast. Great selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner at a excellent price, good portion of food. Parking is always available, its a huge lot. The restaurant is always kept up nicely, restrooms are clean and stocked.Just great all around. There omelettes/waffles/pancakes are a must to try......Cant be beat for the price......They have daily specials !!

i went there recently and on their menu they said in kids meal that the drink was free and it came with a dessert. All was fine till the bill came. They charged the drink and the dessert never came . I asked why they charged and they said they have been charging it again for two months now. I went there three days ago . That bothered me and now they lost a costumer just for the five dollars they charged .

Today (07/21/17) I ate a New York steak, fries and poached eggs breakfast at Lancers, a dated (in a good way), friendly eatery. As per their usual style, the food and service were very good or better than very good. Even with all my numerous customizations to the order, everything was prepared as hoped for. This is a place Id drive over 20 miles...when I am in a diner/family restaurant mood.

To say that it was the worst omelet I have ever had doesnt do it justice. It was the worst thing that has ever come out of a chicken. Eggs where watery and flavorless, actually, everything was watery and flavorless. I felt sick and had trouble keeping it down within minutes.

Although my good friend Isaac/Isaiah the manager is no longer there I still visit during the week for the Fried Chicken. Its a no nonsense diner with a low key bar in the back area. Perfect for discrete business meetings. However, the bar regulars are really friendly.

My wife & I have been coming here for 30 years. The Lancers special, (M-F) is unbelievable. You get 3 eggs, choice of potatoes or fresh fruit. a beverage, juice, toast, pancakes, or English muffin, for under $10.00. We recommend it highly.

Only been there one time. I ordered the southern country style breakfast, it arrived in a reasonably short time. The waitress was attentive making sure everything was alright. The food was good, and I think I would go back.

The food is generally very good quality though it is your average diner. What also makes this place kind of interesting is its architecture. It is classic Googie architecture of which there is not much left in Los Angeles.

They thrive on quantity, not quality. The food is good, mind you, but not top drawer. I love eating here, but not a date place if you were possibly wondering. You get lots for your money. Pleasant servers.

Lancers is a family restaurant. The food is good and some waiters are nice. The price is right for your money. They have a regular menu but they also have an every day menu that my hobby likes.

One of our favorite places to eat in Burbank. Down home cooking with great variety of food, big portions, good service, big parking lot, a real jem. Love this place!

Im giving Lancers 5 Stars because it is a time capsule of a diner where the clientele served in WWII and you can fill your tummy with American classics for under $10.

We usually like older coffee shops, food and service were fine, but theyve hung TVs everywhere. If we wanted to watch TV while were eating we could just stay home.

This is old diner style. Their nightly specials are incredible. Great food. Atmosphere is awesome. The old locals gather and it is fun to sit and listen.

The chili was tasteless, and the green salad was tiny and wilted and sad. Giving it a second chance was a mistake, and the BLT followed the same vein.
