This review is for my visit on 2/27/2016. Ive been carrying the receipt in my pocket since then and havent had the time to write this, but now I do. It took a while to find parking (not TAPS fault). The other 3 people in my party were seated when I walked in (they didnt want to seat them until I was there). Their drink order had already been taken. I ordered a glass of wine. It literally took between 10-15 minutes (and asking 3 times) to get that glass of wine. When it came time to order we had questions. The server didnt have too many answers. We felt he didnt know the menu so we figured he was new. He was very nice and courteous throughout our time together (even when I started to give him a hard time). One of the items I ordered was a wedge salad with extra ranch. I had to ask 3 times for the ranch. One of the other people in my party wanted the crab cakes. She asked our server if it was (s) plural meaning 2 crab cakes or 1 crab cake. He said it was 2 cakes so she ordered them. Guess what came out? You guessed it!! One crab cake came out. We immediately said something to our server. The best he could do was have them manager come see us. OK, so I am already irritated having to ask and wait for my wine and then my ranch, and now this? The manager showed up and we explained our problem. She explained that there was a problem with the way the menus were printed and we said that we felt that wasnt our problem especially when we asked if the plate came with 1 or 2 cakes. She asked if there was anything she could do for us. We said she could give us the other cake. She said she couldnt do that (and I said " and I cant write you a good review). The manager said she would make a price adjustment on the bill, didnt say what kind of adjustment. She removed the crab cake from the bill. What could have been done differently? Well to start our server in our opinion wasnt ready for a Saturday evening rush, and didnt know the menu. The manager could have brought us out 1 crab cake on a small side dish plate. She ended up giving us 1 free cake anyway. Whats the difference? All we wanted was what we thought we ordered which is 2 crab cakes. That would have made all the difference in the world, and I would not be writing this NEGATIVE review (which I promised I would write). I didnt want to let you down manager. The rest of the food was good. The dining experience was not.............and TAPS is not a cheap dinner. I will not return to TAPS in Brea, California and I would not recommend TAPS to a friend.

Brunch here is from 9:30 am - 2 am. There is a Valet Service right next to the restaurant. It is about $33/per person. You can do an endless mimosas/bloody marys or you can do beers! They have SO MUCH food available, there is like no way you can try everything. -the oyster bar: fresh and also has the condiments for you on the side -the cheese and charcuterie bar: can I just say WOW. The selection is amazing. The cheese is amazing. They even have roasted whole garlic cloves and different honeys! -american breakfast food: on point from red velvet pancakes, to eggs Benedicts, a meat station where they slice you meat of your choice. -dessert: fruits galore. and how can you forget the Chocolate fountains?! Also a fresh donut machine you can make your own type of donuts. I dont know of any other brunch buffets in this area that are THIS good. I have to say it is my favorite brunch buffet local location.

Dec.31, 2013 group of 4 adults 1 child 2 babies. special menu for the night and we had no choice. we ordered 4 adult meal and 1 child menu. My quest pointed ribs for the entre and he ended up getting a prime rib with 20 buck extra (85 dollars). Manager said "oh sorry", that it. His wife and myself had mahi-mahi fish entre and not impressed at all.....greasy, rice was not well cooked plus 2 Mexican 1-bit tacos with some crushed shrimp and vegi for about 70 bucks. My wife ordered pork and half of the chop was fat. My boy got a piece of grill chicken with some broccoli for 48 dollars. I tasted was like directly out of Costco Tyson chicken breast. No liquor, just 2 cups of bears. Total bill came out about 398 + dollars.........PRICY .......... NOT RECOMMENDATED !!!

Went to taps on a Sunday afternoon for their Brunch menu. Had made a reservation two days in advance for a noon timeslot. After checking in and waiting about 10 minutes we were shown to a table on the patio. Temperatures hit about 106 degrees in the sun and what felt like 90+ degrees in the shade that afternoon and eating food was completely unbearable. I could not pickup the silverware as it had been resting in the sun prior to us being seated. Waiter arranged for umbrella coverage for most of the dining area, but the restaurant should not have allowed people to be seated in the exterior in those conditions. Imagine eating raw seafood in this heat. For a $200 meal for 4 people after tips it was completely unacceptable.

I took my wife to Taps for the first time to celebrate our 19th anniversary. We didnt know what to expect. The dining experience turned out to be an amazing experience thanks to our server named Kari. My wife ordered the miso sea bass. The presentation of the dish was extraordinary. The taste was even better! I ordered the Wharf Cioppino, and it was an amazing dish, so many flavors! Even the bread that is served at the beginning of your dining experience is one of the best that we have tasted. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Great experience. Great service. Great food. John, I believe, was a wonderful waiter! I had a bad experience at TAPS in Corona, but this location turned my opinion around. There isnt a large variety of vegan options to choose from, but I was able to customize my meal to fit my dietary needs. Thats much better than what many restaurants can do. Professional staff and atmosphere. I can see why so many people book reservations! Its a pricey restaurant- that is the meals with meat (20$+). I ordered a salad for (8$).

Taps quality has certainly degraded over the years. I used to love coming here for their Sunday brunch and boy was that GREAT... With tons of seafood options, the great Mediterranean selection of cheese, olives, and cold cuts.. fresh baked goods and torching the creme brulee right before having it.... It was everything I wanted... Now? its over-crowded, hard to find a good spot on the patio, the food quality has gone down, and overall, not the place it once used to be.

Came for the Sunday brunch as was pretty happy overall. There are plenty of oysters and the prime rib was good. The best part has to be the all you can drink mimosas included with your meal though. The wait staff is hustling the whole time a do a great job clearing plates and topping off your drink. Fall to Springs are the busy season so try to hit it up in the summer and avoid holidays (mothers and fathers day).
