Im torn about this place. On one hand, the decor, gift shop, and atmosphere make it an interesting place to stop. On the other hand, outside of the shrimp, the food is average. The shrimp is only slightly above average, and as for the service, I was extremely dissatisfied. There were only three groups of customers in the restaurant, and at least six servers that I saw, plus the manager. It took several minutes to recieve anything we needed, and we never once got assisted by the same person which meant that often if something was amis, we had to flag a new person down to get it fixed. Also, when we put up the "stop sign" to flag someone down, the manager came over and assumed something was wrong at which point two other servers came over to assist making it seem very crowded. Lastly, the place was far from clean. I had to get two replacement forks as both had something greeen crusted to them, the menus and table were sticky, and the floor was spotted with garbage which makes little sense as we got there not long after they opened which made me wonder when last it was cleaned. The place has a fun little gift shop, but if I ever do go back, it will be simply for a souvineer and not the food or service. Been there, done that, and dont want to go through it again.

We went to a friends birthday party at Bubba Gumps. Our first time going, even though I see them all the time, not just in Anaheim, but when traveling. I figured it would be good food catering to vacationers... EXPENSIVE. Well I was right, it is expensive. We arrived late and missed the whole orientation thing about the license plates, so for the most part we never saw a server. But even when we did, we had to ask 3 times to get more cocktail sauce. And I dont think you should have to flip green a license to red in order to get drinks refilled, the empty glass should be enough. We ordered the shrimp sampler, whatever they call it, 4 different types of shrimp and fries. They were ok. Not one of the 4 selections or 3 sauces made me say WOW! and considering this is a shrimp place, I kinda expected a WOW! We were put outside on the patio, and for whatever reason, the whole embarrassing the birthday person doesnt take place out there, we could hear them inside, but union rules or something, they wont come out onto the patio to sing their silly song.

We were out early tile shopping. We were quite hungry and decided to take a break and find a late breakfast somewhere. I think it was around 10:15ish. We just stopped not really realizing where we were stopping and looked into a window to see if this place was open. Oh my goodness they opened the door and said we are not officially open but we would be happy to serve you. When we realized what restaurant we were at we said we really wanted breakfast. Now mind you they are not open, they do not serve breakfast and they were working on getting set up for their day for when they actually opened. They said "no problem" made us scrambled eggs, sausage, toast--whatever they had we were welcome to it! I have never experienced a chain restaurant being so personal. The service was fantastic and we were the only ones in here. Food delicious. The general manager was there Will Carr and we 3 had the best conversation, sort of like we all were old friends. I really felt quite at home and would certainly return here again!

In an area that seems to be renowned for quality of customer service, Bubba Gumps displayed over two visits a very high level of professionalism and courtesy from ALL the staff members, regardless if they were waiting on you that night or not. You would expect this in a high-end restaurant like Mortons, but BGs could very well be an employee feeder for higher-end restaurants. Kudos to the management for maintaining a high standard of conduct and team-building, it was very evident throughout my visit. I even directly complimented the manager on duty, which from his reaction seemed somewhat of a pleasant anomaly (having managed a restaurant I understand the rarity of receiving genuine compliments from clientele). Whether you like the West Coast spin on New Orleans cuisine or not (and for the most part I do), you cant beat the positive, welcoming energy of the staff here.

Ok kids menu good, shrimp great as always, however the theme of the restaurant stands for southern food. If someone serves you an authentic meal from the south, first thing it comes to your mind is an explosion of flavors. This is nor what I got here when I ordered the mamas southern fried chicken. The chicken has no flavor whatsoever, good breading but lack of flavor on the chicken itself. Second the corn on the cob tasted like if they took it from the freezer straight to the boiling water......I mean seriously not even butter and milk. Third the mashed potatoes and gravy. The gravy had lumps every where and the mashed potatoes, come on......they could have take some or a little bit of pride on this dish. Bottom of line totally disappointed. Never coming back. You guys have ruin the brand name of Bubba Gump Shrimp.

This is the 3rd Bubba Gump that my wife and I have been to. We have also been to the one in Daytona Beach FL and another one which I cant remember where. The service at this location was outstanding, prompt, and courteous. We went at 1530 in the afternoon and there was no wait on a Saturday. The food is the reason I give this 3 stars. First my wife always orders the shrimp Mac and cheese. It was smaller then any of the locations we visited previously. Maybe the company has changed portion sizes since the last time we went. Finally I ordered a shrimp pot. The shrimp was OLD. We could tell by the texture. My wife and I both ate some and about 30 minutes after the meal both our stomachs were roiling. Fortunately she has better stomach fortitude then me and didnt lose her dinner. I did.

Best Restaurant Experience Ever! My fiance, my two brothers, and I decided to visit Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. for lunch on my 21st birthday. We enjoyed the atmosphere as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. Our waiter, Marquis, was friendly and very knowledgable about the food and good selections. When my brother ran out of his soda very quickly he brought back a pitcher of soda with a straw in it to drink. He was very quick to refill our other drinks, as well. He also bought and made me a cocktail for me for my birthday! The food was excellent! Even if the food was mediocre, the service received was unlike any restaurant I have ever been. If youre a fan of the movie Forrest Gump, appreciate excellent service, and like good food then this is the restaurant for you!!! Thanks again. :)

3 of us, my 2 children and myself. We were seated quickly but waited more then 30 minutes before a manager arrived and took our order. The order arrived but was missing 2 of 3 orders. So the children shared the food that did arrive, and I ate some bread. I also never got my drink. Eventually a young lady introduced herself as our waitress, and when I told her the order was wrong, and I never got my drink. I still never got my drink. We have been to the Universal City Walk location several times and always love that one. We ended up going to Downtown Disney for food and drinks, and we had a good time. Staffing problems here, even though they have several people walking introducing themselves as managers.
