My coworkers went here for takeout recently, and I had the extreme privilege of savoring some of this places yummy goodness. It all started harmlessly enough, she offered half of her Moroccan lamb stew with all the garnishs in ciabatta bun, and one of the famous Crispy potato puffs. I said "mmm m omg yes! drool! be right there!" il goûte si bon. merci beaucoup. Je suis tout simplement dévorer le sandwich. i nécessité de ralentir pour que je puisse savourer plus longtemps. translation? mm that was damn tasty! take your time and enjoy this delicious food. Seriously, the potato puff was giving me shivers. I was stuffed. Granted I had a bagel sandwich for breakfast earlier in the day, but yeah I can imagine the portions are fine for most people [ sky turns dark, enters evil mode ] unless youre a freaking glutton used to texas america sized portions so you can roll your fat arse out of your SUV and waddle down the street [ evil mode off. . the sky clears .. ] Mmm yeh, so ... good stuff, my mouth is so happy. Im definitely coming back. Check their website for other locations and holiday menus. WIth V-Day approaching fast, if you havent got a place picked yet, this would be a treat for Valentines day.. better yet, get the stuff, take it home, get out the candles and plates and wine or what not, and give your lover a French treat! BTW the stuff is packaged in eco-friendly octagon shaped cardboard boxes with little checkerboard paper wrapping mmm nice touch!

Oh how I love cute packaging. This place packs all your meals up in a little hexagonal box for you to take and eat (there are 2-3 tables outside if you want to enjoy it there though. HINT: call in your order. This is a take out place and we ordered to eat there, but it seemed like everyone who actually called in and got take out got their meals first. It was a long wait, but it was worth it in the end. We got the grilled beef hangar steak which was pretty good. The flavor was good, but the steak wasnt super tender and was a little chewy. We also go the chicken poptart which was really good. Im usually not a big fan of ordering chicken because its so easy to make, but when someone stuffs some with great flavor in a pastry puff, im sold! And then we also got the crispy potato puffs loaded up - parm, garlic and parsley and truffle essence. Do yourself a favor and get these. All the meals comes with potatoes as well which were really good. Overall, each of the boxes were really good and my only complaint (aside from the wait) is that everything is pretty greasy. But give this place a try!

Gregoire is an adorable food stand in Berkeley. There are tables outside that you can sit at or bring your delicious food with you. Ive had a variety of sandwiches there, last time was the fried chicken sandwich with their famous potato puffs. Everything was delicious, but the one issue I always have with their sandwiches is that they over sauce everything. There was a ton of coleslaw in my sandwich and it was kind of oozing everywhere. I dont mind getting my hands dirty when Im eating, but the sauce all over the place and the soggy bun doesnt make for the perfect sandwich experience. However, if you do let them know they can go easy on it (I just forgot that day). Overall, really delicious food in the heart of Berkeley.

Did I miss the memo? I dont see the hype =( we ordered the potato puffs, grilled chicken pesto wrap, and braised lamb sandwich. As others have mentioned, suppeeerrr small place. Mainly meant for take out. Luckily we were able to score a table outside to eat. It took a bit to get our food, but mainly because they had a lot of take out orders ahead of us. I found the potato puffs to be fine, but a bit bland. Even the dipping sauce. The wrap was ok. I didnt try the lamb sandwich but my friend said it was fine. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? I think the price is a bit steep for what you get though. If Im paying $10 for a sandwich, I want an epic sandwich. Not just a ehh one. Service was friendly.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Order was correct but food quality wasnt as good as I remember. Its been over a years time since Ive been & I craved their lunch only fried chicken sandwich $11. Id always been curious about poutine so I ordered that too. The bread was soggy, so was the chicken. Perhaps it was my fault that I didnt ask for cole slaw to be on the side. Perhaps they didnt drain the juices from slaw well because bread was wet on entire bun. Sadly, I had a few bites of poutine & sandwich, then went elsewhere to grab a bite to eat. Would I go again? Probably not. Fortunately, I know another place thats closer to me that serves better fried chicken sandwiches.

If only every fast food joint across the world was serving up gourmet fare like Gregoire. Wishful thinking... This quaint Cedar Ave. spot features breakfast, lunch, and dinner that satisfies the health nuts and those seeking something rich and savory. For the latter- dont miss the potato puffs. Health freaks- the kitchen is flexible with small alterations to their dishes. For example, tiring a sandwich in to a salad... Goodbye carbs! There are two small tables outside the restaurant and a few additional seats at the neighboring apartment units. If you cant find a spot, take those great to-go boxes up to Indian Rock for a perfect meal overlooking the San Francisco Bay!

I love Gregoire. Ive been dining here ever since I moved to the Bay Area. Pricey as it is, the food is really tasty. Come here at lunch time for a wide selection of sandwiches. Its also significantly cheaper than the dinner menu. The menu does change every month, but there are some regular repeats. I have tried the fried chicken, the oyster salad, steak, etc...Everything Ive had was delicious. Its a quintessential Berkeley experience in my opinion to eat here. Warning, seats are extremely limited. There are now two picnic tables available, but be on the look out for seats as soon as youve ordered.

Great place for gourmet take out. I visit this place often for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Amazing food in cute little boxes. The menu changes quite often (I think monthly), allowing for seasonal elements to influence the dishes. Plenty of healthy options as well as vegetarian options. One may find the menu slightly pricey, but the food is totally worth it. The only downside of the place being, there are only two benches on the spot. So if youre planning to enjoy your meal under the warm sun, you might not get a spot. But like any other take out place, you can go somewhere else and enjoy your meal.

Gregoire is one of my favorite places to eat in the East Bay. Ive been here over a dozen times. Their menu changes monthly to incorporate seasonal produce, but they have some staples that never go out of style. I like their Chicken Sandwich and Potato Puffs for sure. I tend to go here for lunch, but Ive also been here for their dinner menu. Everything is solid although food prep can take a while. If you can snag a seat outside, youre golden. If not, you might need to find a bench nearby or eat at home as this is technically take-out. I love how they recycle their cute boxes and compost.
