I work in the area and this is by far one of the best lunch spots in the area. Thin crust pies ordered by the slice (walk-in) or by the whole pie (take out). I highly advise walk-in, as the slices are put back in the oven for a quick heat up and are most excellent when eaten this way. A variety of different toppings are available, from ordinary to extraordinary (Ive really never had a bad slice here yet). The arugula salad here is excellent. Peppery arugula with almonds, salty cheese, beets and a nice vinaigrette to pull it all together. Ive been trying to lose weight more recently and would likely skip the pizza and come here only for the salad, because its probably one of the better salad options in the area. There are sandwiches which I havent tried but look (and smell) excellent. Theres also a decent selection of beers and a great area upstairs for watching games or playing pool (I watched a couple world cup games up there).

This is great thin crust pizza (the only way to go!), especially if you grew up in New York City. Its just what you would get there with some improvements such as interesting toppings. The salads are better than average too. A bit pricey but worth it. Their online ordering system is a wreck and they dont care. Minus one star. They ignore delivery instructions. Minus another star. A new ordering system is working better although it doesnt tell you how long youll have to wait for the pizza before taking your money. The old ordering system is still lurking around unresponsively. I ordered a pizza online with the new system at 10am after accidentally discovering it. The pizza arrived lukewarm at 1:30pm and it was awful. Minus another star. Were running out of stars here.

Thin crust pizza is good but the thickness and amount of toppings change depending on who is cooking. Also if you get it delivered check your pizza before paying and closing the door, I have gotten two pizzas made incorrectly, I brought this to their attention and they gave me "after some prodding" a free pizza which was a delicious specimen of a pizza. Their personnel vary in their.... Skill level. I had one delivery guy ask me to make change because he was bad at math, and have had interesting conversations with the people who take the orders. I still order from here because their pizza goes from good to great. They have some unique pizzas including a delicious breakfast pizza. The 3 stars is for the checkered experience I have had here.

This is by far the best pizza Ive had in the bay area in the category of quick, informal eats!! They have amazing, fresh ingredient combinations, and wicked good New York style pizza. It is probably only second in my mind to Bao Necci, but thats in a completely different category of style of pizza and environment, so its not really fair to compare the two. I will say it could probably stand to be a bit less oily, but whatever, #1, youre eating pizza, what did you expect? And #2, you can always dab it off with napkins. Plus it just adds to the flavor! Yum. And I like all the guys working behind the counter, they all have a good sense of humor and have always been super friendly to me. Highly recommend this place to everyone I know!

Definitely a solid slice of pizza, with many interesting options. Friendly group of employees that seemed to enjoy making pizza. There really is not much room to sit down and eat a slice here though, 8 stools? I got the one in the corner closest to the counter and they smacked me with a pizza box lid every time they opened one. I guess they did not notice? There was a short line 3-4 deep when we got there, and we got the last 2 seats. When we left the line was to the door, and no seats were left. There are just so many great pizza places withing 5 miles of here I just dont think I will go back.

Pizza was good. But be careful with how you place your order, or you maybe scammed upon! I ended up paying $80 for two pizzas to go. I placed an order online. They didnt get it. Ok, whatever. I will just grab what they already have on display. When I asked why the charges were kind of high, I was shown a receipt for 16 slides. Why the surcharge and not pricing it by the whole pizza? "Because they did not bake two new pizzas for me" *sigh* Lesson learned. Next time, I am going back to the Hot Italian place instead!

If you have a vegetarian in your group, this place is a bummer because they arent allowed to make half-and-half pizzas (e.g., half pepperoni/half cheese), even when the ingredients for both types of pizza are the same, minus the meat. Hope the boss rethinks this policy because otherwise we wont be ordering there again. The individual pizza slices, which can be mixed of course, just dont taste that fresh. If you all like the SAME pizza freshly made, their pizzas are excellent.

I have high hopes for this place -- they have the art of the thin crust down and some of their pizzas are creative. All of them are visually beautiful. But the sauce needs salt and a little zing. The friend I visited with came to the same conclusion. I hope they read this and keep working on it, because they potential to join Arinell Pizza in the East Bay thin crust big leagues -- plus they deliver.

Its good pizza, but expensive for what they are offering. I have the problem of comparing prices to Zacharies which means even though this is a NY style pizza Im still thinking "for the same price I could get a slice of Zacharies." I assume Im just NY ignorant and that this crust does cost the same as a thick crust? Im not sure. I would think less material = less money. But then again, it is Emeryville.

The pizza is pretty good but I dont go gaga over pizza, generally, so for me it is a little expensive. Couple of large pizzas will run you fifty bucks. Ive had them forget to make a pizza and not tell me about it for thirty minutes, but generally the service is OK. I probably wouldnt order from here if it wasnt so close, but on the flip side, no guest of mine has ever complained about it.

A small New York style pizza restaurant. They have some of the best pizza Ive ever eaten, my personal favorite is the one with square of pork, pesto, and mozarella. You can order by the pie or by the slice. They also have some excellent sandwiches, the meatball sub and the pulled pork sandie. Is great as a lunch spot, they also serve a fairly good selection of beers.

Good stuff though expensive. Sandwiches are better than the pizza to me but pizza is tasty. Meatball sub extra sauce and cheese please! For the person who said "only 8 stools..." obviously they werent paying attention.... There is a full upstairs with seating, games and TVs etc as well as a somewhat new outdoor patio area. Great eville spot.

the pizza is pretty decent if you eat it while it is fresh/hot, but it doesnt work well as cold pizza or reheated. seeing as they only have one size (large), leftovers are likely for me. also, the margherita pizza just had tomato sauce, no diced tomatoes (cop-out, in my book). delivery was timely and the pizza arrived hot.
