Quite good fast food place. Service was nice, quick and easy ordering with no line even though it was the evening. I took their Persian burger and fries to go. A word of caution here, their "burger" isnt your typical fast-food style, but a sub-style sandwich. This threw me off a bit, but it was good and didnt disappoint my burger craving. The fries arent worth it; they are definetely frozen and are sub-par by frozen fry standards, and the portion is quite small (you would be better off buying a pack of frozen fries from somewhere for the price). Overall a good experience, and if the price were cheaper it would probably be a regularly visited favorite of mine. Instead, its a nice sandwich shop for when you want fast food and need to satisfy that burger urge every once in a while.

How can something that looks like a Subway sandwich taste so good? I got the Persian (lamb) burger and was surprised that it didnt look like a typical burger. When I look a bite though, it didnt really matter what it looked like. I got it without the condiments and it was still full of flavor! The lamb is really tender and cooked well. My only thing was that it was a tad salty. Good thing you can only get it in a combo meal so it came with a soda which I think goes really well with burgers. Im usually not a crinkle fries person, but the fries were really good. Overall, the whole Persian burger combo meal was really good. i would recommend.

The food here is pretty basic, but in a good way. Its probably better when youre drunk. I was not when I ate here, but I enjoyed myself. Its a small hole-in-the-wall type of place frequented by Berkeley students. Its open relatively late, and I appreciate that. Its fairly priced and you get good value for what you pay. Its also a good spot for people-watching. I had the cheeseburger and fries. The burger is much bigger than you would get at a fast food chain. Its not quite gourmet, but better than say McDonalds. Think really good cafeteria food. Id go again.

I used to come here several times a month - I loved their Persian Burgers. But something has been up the last two times Ive gone - the fries and bun have been soggy, and the lamb chewy in the Persian Burger. I dont know if its a result of new staff or what, but Im disappointed.

Seems popular to locals and collegians. I want to go back to try the other burgers another day and was shocked try hat they dont serve pickles within their burgers. They do BLT, and onions but no pickles.... so surprising to me ehehe.

Nice little restaurant. They have good service and a nice venue with a TV. My burger was pretty tasty and they also have a bunch of non traditional burgers of youre into that. Expect to pay ~$7 for a burger and $2.50 for fries.

Their meet is from hormone free and local farms. I had their Persian burgur which was in a French bread and was made with lamb. It was the most delicious grilled burger I have had. Service was pleasant and fast

A mediterranean burger joint, serving the local clientele -- i.e. students. Which is to say, cheap, fast, and surprisingly tasty. They do have some good healthier options as well: wraps, grilled chicken, etc.

Used to love this place...but something changed rescently. Lost a lot of flavor and I cant really convince my taste buds to go back. Its too bad cause my grandmother and I used to go there all the time.

OH BONGO, how youve saved from from starvation due to pure laziness. It was super close to my apartment and I have never felt unsatisfied after a mushroom burger or an eggplant plate. Yummy yummy yummy

Open later at night, and organic mushroom burger is to die for. Staff is always friendly and professional. In morning, good breakfast menu. Occasional street transients smoke in area unfortunately.

My family has been coming here since before I was born. Even though we live in Canada now, whenever we visit we make a trip to Bongo Burger. Its the best! Try the Persian burger, its our favorite ❤️

Great place to get a quick, tasty breakfast for under $5. Eggs, potatoes, toast. Add bacon if you like Niman Ranch. Theres one on all three sides of campus.
