Pros: - 9 beers on tap - 99 bottled beer selections (according to the website) - good for groups - you can bring in outside food (like La Farine bread yummmm) - SAMPLES! (so glad I was able to try the Mocha Bomb before committing to a drink) - Ritterguts Gose was tart and just slightly sweet Cons: - lack of lighting - I wasnt sure how to order food (now I know to order at the bar) - fairly pricey for the portion size (could be worth it if you really enjoyed that beer) Bottom line: Im not a fan of beer and this place did not change my opinion of it. There are far more impressive taprooms in San Francisco, but this is pretty decent for Elmwood/Oakland. If you enjoy beer, I definitely recommend a visit here.

So happy to have come across and visited this tasting room and bottle shop on our way through California. The beers themselves were pricey (bottle shop), but they are a good alternative if you dont stop through Mikkeller Bar in San Francisco or Los Angeles. The only reason I gave this aesthetically pleasing location a 4 and not 5, is because the bartender was less than enthusiastic, awkward and slightly rude to talk to. My excitement was evident, and he made no attempt to reach out and make the experience memorable for me. That being said he guided me find some of the right bottles after some persistent questioning. Will be back, but look out for the bartender.

Place is awesome. Its not the place you go for a wine-and-dine date, per se, but it is exactly where you need to go if youre looking for a beautiful, golden Belgian brew. They have around 10 taps and a hug bottle list, and the pour isnt even that expensive. I also really like the location, which is far less intimidating than where the Trappist is located in Oakland. The staff here was also very chill, and super knowledgeable! I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Branding change from Trappist Provisions to Mikkeller. Small but well curated tap list and insane specialty bottle selection. Knowledgeable staff that can guide you to the right bottle. Good small snacks, plus you can bring in a sandwich from neighboring Southie.

Stopped here on my visit up north. Its a great little spot. Amazing selection of beers. The person on staff that day wasnt very helpful, but the ambiance is very laid back and chill. It is kind of small, but this is a must stop if you find yourself in the area.
