Poor service, and the food is ordinary at its best. The only reason I can think why this place is popular is because of the combination of bar and its so-called mexican food. If anyone has been to mexico, or eaten at high quality mexican restaurants the difference in quality and taste will be readily apparent. The staff at this place is horrid, they act as if you are a bother, the food took close to 40mins to arrive (for simple fare) and the waiter could not bother to say sorry or can I get you another drink - they are a bunch of entitled low quality workers along with the restaurant itself. I will NEVER return and will make sure that everyone I know is aware of how indifferent the food is along with its below average staff.

Moderately priced Mexican food. Everything is tasty and fresh. If the weather is cool I suggest the chicken soup (arroz con pollo). For me the super burrito usually makes two meals. There are the usual complementary chips and salsa and the chips are crispy and the salsa is freshly made. The restaurant is divided into halves, one of which is a bar, although you have access to the full menu. The other half is a restaurant if youd prefer a quieter environment. Friday and Saturday night the place can be very busy, so be prepared to wait or call ahead to see how long the wait will be. Its walk-in, no reservations, and takes the usual credit cards, and you can order take-out.

Service was horrible. Our drinks were forgotten for 20 minutes, but they finally remembered and brought them to us (and comped them). However, my drink was wrong. Food took forever, but was good. The waiter had to be reminded to bring my guacamole, but he still never brought it to me. When he rang up our bill, he switched our card with another tables bill. The table next to us sat down about 15 minutes after us, yet they had drinks before us, and food right after we got ours.

My husband & I would always meet our sons there before they moved out of California, we all like the food there very much. Hard to say what is the best on the menu, all is very good. I especially like their tacos, reminds me of a place in San Francisco I would always go to.

My family and I sat at a table for about 15 minutes without receiving a menu or even a hello. I wouldnt have minded since they were so busy, however two separate groups walked in after us and had their orders taken and even chips delivered.

Yummy, reasonably priced Mexican food. Partitioned for dining-only, or dinner and drinks with multiple screens for sports fans. Full bar, weekly food specials, Taco Tuesdays! Great location in historic, delightful Benicia.

We get take out from Elviaritas about once a month, so they have us as return customers. It is the familys choice for local Mexican food. Decent portion sizes, and satisfying fare.

The quality has gone downhill since Randy owned it. The interior is also getting gross. Chipped paint, creepy tables, dimly lit. Randy needs to take this place over again.

Love the steak fajitas for lunch when they put the beans and rice in the same pan they cook the meat in. It makes the beans and rice hot but so good
