People in the Northwest are nice and it reflects on their reviews, or maybe super hungry from a day frolicking in the woods. Food here is overpriced, average quality, and caused indigestion issues for my friends and I. We were drawn by the great reviews, but left wallet hurt, stomach hurt, then butt hurt. $35 for 2 Tillamook burgers, coffee and a bowl of clam chowder. My $14 burger and fries were over salted & greasy. The burger meat appeared weird, it was a little pink in the inner part, how I liked it, but outter was fleshy colored. Im used to a little pink, then light brown to slight dark brown and black char on the flame kissed outside of the burger. The consistency of the burger was odd as well. It stuck together as a lamb burger would. One can assumed they grounded to much binding parts like fat, brains, and other fatty organelles. They used Roma tomatoes, pickled onions and a soggy piece of lettuce for the fixins. My friends poor wife endured a hour gaseous ride back to town. We felt like the poor cow wanted to come out of us in both directions, north & south. I never experienced so much indigestion before. We had to rush to a Burger King to where my friend conducted unholy business in stall number two and exercised his intestinal demons. Needless to say Ill never eat or rendezvous here on my own freewill.

My wife and I have been stopping here consistently whenever we have a trip over the mountain. The food is outstanding and the service has always been top notch. I do not understand some peoples gripes about the cost of the meals vs. the portion size? We have always been satisfied with the pricing and the portions are substantial. Last night we ate dinner in an upscale down town portland establishment, paid twice as much and had half the food and half the service. For lunch today we started with the willapa bay oysters ($8.95). I ordered the hamburger and fries ($10.95) And the wife ordered the pork loin sandwich with a side salad and the orange vinaigrette dressing ($10.75). Both meals where fantastic! I highly recommend the pork sandwich. A perfect combination of pork and a chutney topping, awesome. If you want to eat the high priced food but want a better deal, eat in the bar! You can have the same menu and a bit of a discount. The highest priced dinner item on todays menu is $27.95, alaskan halibut picatta. The average price is $19.00 for dinner. We finished with a slice of coconut cream pie and a strawberry rhubarb crisp, (6.50 each). I recommend both. The wife loved the coconut pie.

Went here because the reviews were great, but the service and food provided were not all that great. I asked for adult menus for my kids, and they ordered off the adult menu, but were served kid sizes portions. I ordered the burger, when I received the burger the bottom bun was drenched in grease. I ate a 1/4 of the burger, it was bland and tasteless. The fries were good though. Everyone else around us was served a bread plate, we were not. Everyone else was told the special three course meal of the night, we were not. Everyone else was offered dessert, we were not. Overall, my experience here was okay. I think Ill take my business elsewhere since the waitstaff had no concern as to why I refused to havent food boxed to go. We may not have been dressed fancy like the other patrons, maybe thats why we received subpar service. Dont judge a book by its cover, you could have received a wonderful tip and a repeat customer this winter had you just been attentive.

From beginning to end, wonderful experience and absolutely delicious food. They saw us walking in and immediately seated us. Since it was our first time there, our host was a great guide and gave us the option on which room we could dine in and enjoy. Our waitress/bartender was very accommodating, at my request she brought us olive oil and balsamic vinegar to enjoy with our already flavorful bread, we also ordered their sweet potato fries covered in bacon, gruyere cheese and maple stout drizzle and their calamari with a lemon ginger dipping sauce, both divine, and my husband ordered their apricot and soy glazed duck breast which comes with one of my top 5 fried rice. You really cant go wrong ordering anything from Rendezvous, just wow.

If youre heading up to Mt. Hood on 26, you should give this place a try. Ive been dining here for about three years and the food has always been delicious. The staff has consistently been friendly and the service excellent. If youre used to dining in the Portland area, youll find the prices to be very reasonable. I always spend less than I expect to. And whatever you do, make sure you try the desserts! Im not much of dessert eater normally, but I eat dessert here every time. I live about an hours drive away but my wife and I will make the drive just to have lunch here and then drive right back home. If that doesnt say something, then I dont know what else does!

In a quiet little town at the foot of the mountain, delicious things are created. I had the pleasure of dining here recently and was throughly impressed at the quality of the burger I had. This is no chain restaurant $6 burger. This is a well crafted taste experience in a bun. While the food was immensely satisfying, I had to try the dessert. What was presented at the table left me wanting everything they offered. I settled for three desserts. Everything was fresh, high quality, and left nothing to be saved for later. To waste such a delectable treat would have been criminal. If you require sustenance and are in the county, this is a gem.

I been meaning to write a review on this place. I was in Portland and decided to go to the mountain with my girlfriend to snowboard after the crazy snow they got in the beginning of January. I was super tired and hungry after snowboarding. There wasnt many places out there but it came down between the resort restaurant or this place. I am glad I choice this place. I had a great waiter, great food and great desert. If you find yourself near this place make sure to stop and eat here.

We sat outside and enjoyed the 80 degree evening. The area is right on Hwy 26, so it is a bit noisy but not so much as to interfere with conversation. I had the Willapa fried oysters which were very good, and others in our party had the salmon fish and chips, also quite good. Service was quick and friendly. The wine selection by the bottle is well priced and reasonably extensive, but beers on tap are pretty limited to 4 or 5 selections.

The food here is amazing! They serve locally sourced meats in some dishes. Prices are what I expected for a place up in the mountains, but I figured if they are using local meats it might be cheaper. The bread is very good, as is the dessert. I had the roast duck breast with kimchi fried rice; spectacular. The outside patio is very nice for a summer nights dinner. Its family friendly.

My wife and I have been eating at Rendezvous for 8 years. It is great for lunch after a morning of X-country skiing or a relaxing dinner. Tom, one of the owners, keeps a good wine list, and the desserts are good. Of course, the wine and desserts do not outshine the entries, and the price is always right. We always eat dinner on the outside patio in the summer.
