The place smells like cigarettes all the time. More than 90% of the staff cannot speak English, and will keep addressing to you in Chinese. I mean, maybe because I was Asian they simply assumed I was Chinese, but thats pretty similar to talking in black slang to black people in a restaurant. The staff was extremely unfriendly as well. When I was seated, one of the waiter came by and just threw the baby wipes around the table. THREW. As in, he would project them across the table. Maybe Im not an expert in waiting industry, but when someone throws me stuff in a restaurant, I can only assume it is overly rude. The food quality was mediocre. I had a lobster ordered, and it didnt taste like anything but ginger. ALSO BE AWARE, THEY WILL STEALTHILY ADD SOME STUFF YOU DID NOT ORDER. With the course menu, they somehow gave me a pot full of steamed rice. Since I never ordered that, I assumed it came with the course menu. When I had to pay, it said about $7 for the steamed rice. Seriously? I guess I get what I expected from a luxury-looking Chinese restaurant with a health score of B. My local cigarettes store has A, for the love of God. Avoid this place like the plague.

Shi Hai is the newest Dim Sum in 626 area, the former restaurant was burned down sctually. I like their food quality, but hate the price and lousy service, But now they offer whooping 40% off discount for weekday dim sun, thats good enough for me to return and gave this place another shot. With the deep 40% discount, the dim sum price is on pair most other location and cheaper than a few, I can tell you the dim sum quality is one of better on 626, Jonathn gold said this is the best dim sum in the area. Thats a bit inaccurate,, this place is good but not the best. For the current 40% off price, no doubt is of best bang dim sum, great dim sum in a affordable price. However, the service still weak and need a improvement.

Came here for dim sum on a Tuesday. It was around 11:30am and the place was filled with older Asian adults and families. The service was a bit slow as it was hard to wave a waiter down. Dim sum is a picture book and you get to order it on a piece of paper handing it to the waiter who then the ladies bring the dishes out. The flavor of the dishes were good, however some of my hot dishes were cold, it may be possible they rushed to get it out that the rice cake was not fully steamed. Overall, it was fairly priced and decent.

Dim Sum ayeeee. It was alright though, there was a wait - good cause itll be good dim sum right!? But like I said it was alright. There are plenty of place in the Alhambra area for dim sum. Shi Hai was kinda on the expensive side for no particular reason, food was average, service was pretty slow. Besides the good company I had for my meal, it was mediocre at best. Ill go to a different place for my dim sum next time.

Went for Dim Sum. Got put in a small meeting room in the back of the restaurant. Even though the dim sum here is not brought to you in carts. Its all menu ordered and eventually brought to your table. It was not quick. Took a long time to get food and when we were done, yet another dish was brought to our table, UG. The dishes were tasty and reasonably priced though.

Dim Sum are good. I will go for Dim Sum. The dinner, sea food are okay but too expensive. Other food are plane. I will never have dinner again.

Dimsum served by ordering method instead of push cart style. Food wasnt very hot, but overall not bad at $2.88 for every dish.

Cleaner and friendlier than the typical Chinese seafood restaurant. Their roast pig is to die for!
