Waited about 10minutes on a late, weekend night. Parking loit isnt huge so finding a spot can be a little difficult. Environment was part of the experience - It was relaxed with a very mixed crowd of college kids, older men in slacks and dressy couples from the Arcadia area.Booths look worn but were clean along with the tables. Had originally ordered two Margs from the bar, they were not made in time so the bartender brought them to our table (literally in the bar area). WonderfulChips and salsa were brought to our tabl almost immediately upon sitting and the refill was prompt once our server noticed the empty bowl. Our server greeted us within 5 minutes, not talkative at all but in a good way. After ordering, our food came out in about the average wait time, enough to enjoy our drinks and converse. We had the ChileRelleno and it was...unusual.Basically a plate of grease, cedar, chile and a mound of "foam."They warn you before ordering thats its not typical Chile Relleno so I vcannot complain. I had a wonderful combo plate, served very hot and looking freshly made (no signs of sitting). Prices on drinks and food were reasonable and I would probably compare the food style to Serranos or possibly closer to Garcias in the East Valley. Overall, Im plesedwith my visit and may return.

I ate here April 2015. Nothing to brag about. The meal was okay. I am thinking that since a few famous people stopped here, everyone famous now has to stop here just to do it. I mean if I was a rich person or moneyed celebrity, this would not be a place I would go. I would spend my money at a fancy restaurant where I would get the service and flavors I desire. However, a patron gets what he pays for at this venue. Its a fair deal for the price. It may be a great place for sports fans because of all the televisions tuned to sports stations broadcasting none other than ... you guessed it, football games behind the bar. The venue has a bar with stools, plenty of beer and mixed drinks too. For those who want to see pictures and autographs of celebrities and politicians, you can get an eye full here. As for the décor, it is definitely a bar scene, not a place for a date, unless she is the type that enjoys having her beau pick her up on a riding lawn mower. If you are into the bar joint dive, you will like this place.

Having ate here several times growing up, I revisited this classic Phoenix landmark. It still looks the same, but they dont cook the same. This old bar which once served good food to the President, is nothing but a DIRTY OLD BAR WITH BAD FOOD and the WORST LAZY SERVICE to boot. The "street tacos" were a sloppy FLAVORLESS MESS on top of soggy tortillas,(def not street tacos if you cant even pick them up) the salsa had no flavor at all , not even salt, the enchiladas were just another soggy mess. After being ignored for 20 minutes, the waitress sent someone else to give me the check. So, HERES MY TIP..LEARN HOW TO COOK MEXICAN FOOD, and fire your lazy waitress. You are not the only Mexican Food Restaurant here, and I would recommend Taco Bell over this poor excuse for a restaurant. Pretty sad that they ran this place into the ground.

Please check your bill before you pay it. I had presidents special and couple other things (shrimp taco w/rice and beans and extra shrimp taco)and they charged $1 more for special. And, then when I asked they told me shredded beef is $.50 more. Then, they charged 10% tax (When I pointed out, they corrected and told me tax is 8.1%); total bill was $25.60, and tax was $2.56. Somehow the total was $34.25. Manager told me that waitress wouldnt do that on purpose, but I am not convinced at all. How could anyone add $25 and $2 and get $34? I used to like this place, but I would never go back now.

First time and last. Food mushy, tasteless, and our feet stuck to the floor after 5 seconds. Havent had that happen anywhere since college frat parties, and that was many moons ago! Waiter never asked if we wanted a 2nd drink or if we wanted dessert either, and it was Valentines Day (not busy at all). Worst green corn tamale ever--bland mush. Other dish just as mediocre. Have experienced all types of Mexican restaurants and dives, and this was by far the worst. I think the hype is its history and local regulars who hang at the bar and drink and eat munchies.

Practically across the street from Arcadia High, my alma mater, it remains a favorite place to meet alumni, either in groups or individually. I lived far away for many years and head that it had gone downhill, but that it came back up, and - YES it certainly has! Its as great as it was way back when and I look forward to any opportunity to revisit. The food, it goes without saying, is fabulous, but I love the employees; they are fantastic, helpful, friendly.... And oooh those tortilla chips.... =)

Should have known to not order anything by the canned salsa they served with their chips. I cant complain about the staff service. Ive lived in the Phoenix area for a many years and always heard of how good this place is but it turned out to be really disappointing. The chimichanga that I ordered was soft, I was only reminded that it was a chimichanga by the hard edges. This is a border state, come on, go big or go home. Do it right! Food wise, this is one of the worst places for Mexican food.

I have enjoyed dining at the Tee Pee for over 30 years. Their food is always spiced excellently and served hot. I highly recomned the Green chili "mary lou" as well as their excellent lunch specials that are priced below $8 in the lounge between 11-and 2pm. The chips and salsa are to die for. Oversized freshly cooked chips served with a green chili based salsa and an additional sweet chipotle flavored hot sauce are served in large baskets that are refilled with a smile.

I think this place is pretty darn good. I absolutely love their green chili stew and their portion sizes are fantastic. Food for days! I should say I have only ever had their tacos and stew though. Price is a little expensive on some things but everything else is good to go. I have always done takeout, so dont know what it is like to eat inside. I like to frequent here about every other week or when I am in the mood for some real home cooked Mexican food. YUM!!!

Absolutely horrible. Over-cooked food that stuck to the plates, soggy tacos, incorrect orders. Only 1 out of our party of 6 was happy. We have eaten at Teepee for over twenty years and it has really gone downhill. Do yourself a favor and go to Barrio Cafe or Cien Agave. Zip, we live one Street down from you and youve failed long time customers hosting family from out of town. The margaritas were the only saving grace. We complained and got very little resolution.

Oh my goodness the vegan nachos are the best nachos Ive ever had. Unlike most places, Tee Pee Mexican Food layers their toppings so you get the perfect amount of cheese and topping on every single chip. The queso is also generously given so there is def no shortage! I am in love with how thick the chips are as well. Vegan nachos are $9 on the happy hour menu and I think it was the best I ever had even without meat!
