Well, Im giving them 5 stars without even trying the food yet!! Im staying in a nearby hotel, and dont have the time to leave my room. I called them up and asked if they deliver. The gentleman said, "no, sorry. Are you staying in the ___ Hotel?" and I said yes, and he says, "I will bring you dinner. What would you like?"
I was frustrated with the lack of customer service in the Valley here, theres such a low bar for customer service.. Ive been coming to SLC for years for business and service is rarely more than negligible. I had a horrible, horrible experience last night with a take-out order from a Chinese restaurant called Lucky Chen... maybe Chen is lucky, but I wasnt.
Much love and appreciation to the folks at Bombay House for your hospitality! The food will taste better than expected because of it!

This place rocks. My parents flew in from New York, and Im always at a loss of where to take them since theyre still of the prideful New York personality where they think its impossible to get any good tasting experiences outside of the boroughs. Well, Bombay, thanks for convincing a couple of old guidos. I know my mom loves Indian food, and a co-worker of mine has always spoke very highly of Bombay House. Upon entering, the smells of all the different spices fills your nostrils. You know youre in for a treat. It was a Friday night, so there was a slight wait, but only about 10 minutes. Everything is served family style, so we all had a bit of everything. 3 different naan breads, some goat, chicken, honestly...it was ALL good. Its odd because the night we were at the restaurant, I thought one dish was my favorite, but we brought the leftovers and re-heated them the next day, and some of the spices changed as they had time to sit and gave some of the other platters a flavor that they didnt have the prior day, and my leftover favorite was different than my fresh favorite. Oh the miracle of leftovers! Jasmine rice, curry, spices, flavors galore. Come to Bombay, its really a great place, the service is good, and the prices are right. No complaints.

The food is great, but I would definitely stay away from this branch. I have never had such bad service going to a Bombay house. We ordered our appetizer and after he gets my order he walks away, I had to ask for my drink as he was walking away. He doesnt even ask my girl friend if she would like anything to drink. We waited awhile and I got my drink, the waiter was about to walk away and I had to grab him because she wanted a drink. While we were eating our food no one came to really check on us, we had to grab people for more water/drinks, our plates were pretty much cleared and we were waiting for the check. We had to grab them for that also, and we asked them for more rice and bread. Didnt bring out any more than enough for two people to take home, and we had four people in our group. They did forget the bread and forgot rice a second time when we had asked, since we needed more for the group of four.

The service was very fast, and we went in hoping we could get in and out in under an hour (we were crunched for time). We were more than impressed with how quickly we were seated and our food was out to us! Our servers were nice, funny too, we were joking a lot. :) Ive never had Indian food before, so this was my first impressions: It worried me at first that all the food looked the same (at least everyone at our tables dishes were identical), but after testing each others dishes, they are different (save the spice intensities). The sauce did taste similar, but its really good, no complaints there! I had the Shrimp Tikka Masala. Very tasty!! Loved the naan and my strawberry lassi! We also loved the assorted appetizer: vegetable samosa, onion bhaji, chicken pakora, and vegetable pakora. All were way yummy!!! I will definitely recommend this place and I hope to visit again! :D

I love indian food and the Bombay House is the best in the state for indian food. I always get the tikki masala and plenty of naan bread. The rice is amazing and very full of flavor. If you need some indian food get over here and quickly as you can. The waiters are always charming and great. This restaurant tries its best to make sure you have a great experience. I had a friend come up from California and we met here for dinner one night. The servers treated us like gold, as they always have done in the past. We were talking and laughing and stayed well past closing time and didnt even know it. Not once did a server come and usher us out or even hint that they were going to close. I actually felt bad that we had kept them. They were very gracious when we left and it just makes me want to come back more often. Great food, great service!

I first tried Bombay House after a colleague of mine (who happens to be from India) recommended them to me. West Jordan is one of a few locations... Ive been only been to this one and the one in Provo. My husband and I are repeat customers, and Im slightly sad to say that we order the same dishes every time... The Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Lamb Sagg. Both of these dishes are so delicious that we cant seem to try anything else. We on occasionally will start off with a mango lassi and an order of vegetarian samosas. Everything is always delish. Neither of us are big on spicy foods, however I do recommend requesting "medium" spice for your dishes. They are still quite spicy, but always taste better than mild.

Before my experience at the Bombay House on Foothill Blvd and now this location in West Jordan, I was fairly ambivalent about Indian food. After my experiences, they are possibly my favorite restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley alongside local giants Red Iguana and Cucina Toscana. Others have already referenced the Curry and the Coconut Kurma, so I will drop in the Malai Kofta (veggie dish) and Rajs Chicken, which are my wifes and my favorite dishes. Also, if youve never tried the Peshawari Naan, treat yourself sometime. Its almost like dessert as an appetizer. Incredible. Easily the best restaurant in West Jordan, and competes for best in the valley.
