Tried this place for taco Tuesday with high hopes but ew. The high hoping continued with the fresh flour tacos being made in front of you and the fresh looking lettuce and pico de gallo but uh ick. If you are looking for authentic tacos dont even come here. These are American tacos or "white people tacos" as they call it LOL. If that is the kind of palate you have then you will love this place. For more refined palates its just awful. The sweet barbacoa taste like it belongs on a Hawaiian bun with some pickles that was bought off a food truck. The sauces they have are served warm. Yuck. The hottest sauce that is supposedly habanero is mild and although it tastes good it does not taste like habanero. Also tried the chicken and roast beef tacos and both were forgettable. Nothing special and nothing worth finishing or coming back for. I have major regrets about eating here. Never again.

Decided to give this place a try. Walked in. Not greeted. Figured it was just busy. Not too much to pick from the menu. Not to mention the ridiculous prices. Girl making our food looked annoyed and did not greet either. Ordered the salad and she put a tortilla on the bottom ? If I wanted a tortilla I would have ordered the burrito. Cashier wasnt friendly either and I couldnt even hear her. By the time I got to my table I was already annoyed by the service. But I figured since the food prices were high maybe the food is to die for. Wrong. Bland bland bland. The so called HOT sauce wasnt even hot. Would much rather go to a qdova or chipotle. I saw no point to the tortilla at the bottom of my salad. What a waste. The food in the pic I took looked good but it didnt taste good at all. Smh

Went for taco Tuesday. Great tacos. Customer service is lacking. They forgot the black beans which we planned on putting on the tacos. They packages everything separate and when we got home realized they did not put black beans in the bag. We live 20mins away and called to let them know the messes up the order. We were told a manager Emma would call us back. We waited a week and a half and finally called back and she told us shes really sorry. We could could come by and get a side of beans. After explaining to her that beans at this point are not necessary and that it made our meal subpar. She had no other offers for their lack of customer service and attention to detail issues. Check your food before you leave.

I was there tonight service was bad, I got tamales I asked for medium sauce they put the mild I stood there for a couple minutes wondering where they went, they took my plate back .My daughter got a kids meal and she asked quesadilla with steak and they gave her a plain niño one till I asked for the steak , ask the girl to put guacamole on my daughters kids meal and she didnt do it. Horchata was gone . Got home the tamales where cold and tasted disgusting like pure lard . I could even smell the grease on them and like I said super cold they tasted so bad I ended up throwing them away. Bad food and worst customer service . Cashier was nice .

My complaint is similar to the other reviews I read at this location and, frankly, Im not sure why she is still working there. Multiple people saw us walk in. The red head girl continued to wipe down the counter while I was waiting for her to take my order. She slowly washed her hands, dropped her glove, and took even longer to grab another one while making conversation w another employee on her way back. Shortly after, she told me they ran out of steak three hours before close. We walked out because of the poor customer service. Thankfully theres a Panda nearby. I love Cafe Rios food, but this location ruined my experience for me.

When we walked in, 3 employees saw us, it took someone 5 mins to come up to us, didnt even say hi! All she said was, what are we getting. Then i let her know that weve never been here before and we dont know how it works and she just starred at us and said ok. Like really? Thats it? So then we sit down and they just keep starring at us. I go into the bathroom and there were no toiletpaper! Im probably not going into this one anymore IF we decide to go again.

The new Cafe Rio on E. Bell Rd and 9th Street...weve been there 5 times so this review is not after 1 visit. The tables are always dirty, they never drain the beans, the sweet pork is never drained of grease, lettuce is too big, shred it and the rice is crunchy. The red head girl on the line is just rude. The serving line is caked in food, clean up after yourselves. At this point Happy Valley will get our business.

Down load the app!!! Great rewards and great food! Ask for extra cheese or nachos and they sing to you! Love the fact that tortillas are made right in front of you, the are absolutely delicious. I personally am a fan of the steak and shredded chicken. Oh and not to mention the handmade drinks!!! Orchata, mint lemonade, Southwest lemonade and more! Delicious food at a great price!

Chicken enchiladas: very salty and sugary. Customer service was horrible. People acted like hey didnt know what they were doing. Shift leader or whoever interrupted the lady I was talking to to tell her something without being courteous that a customer was speaking with her placing an order. Also why use aluminum for the plates? What a waste

Great food, lines tend to get a little busy during dinner hours but definitely worth the wait. Line moves fast and the cashier whos name i believe is Alan does not only share the same name as me, but is one of the most deliberate and smart worker there. He makes the cafe rio experience most enjoyable, and we will definitely be going again.

Confusing menu. Total gluteny, maybe good for some. They should offer burrito bowls... to allow for more healthy options. I found that there was a ton of sugar in the food... just seemed way too unhealthy. I did like the homemade drinks that they offered. My 10 year old loved it (probably becuz of the sugar... lol).

Its was an itresting twist on mexican latino south-western cuisine. Very enjoyable good service and it was my first time their. On Fathers day of 2017. With my lovely girlfriend and her cool Dad! A must return to get some more good food when we have a chance. Thinking about maybe working their!

Horrible service, people working there didnt even know what is on the menu, portion sizes are half of what other cafe rio restaurant serve. Also found plastic strips in salad, we took a match to it and it definitely smelled of burnt plastic. Will never go there again!

This location is by far the best service, cleanest restaurant, and greatest atmosphere from other locations. I wish the Cafe Rio in Chandler was exactly like this location. The staff is amazing wth customer service! Thanks for making our dinning experience fantastic!

After eating at Cafe Rio for a whole month, I realized that even though Alan is a good cashier, Dorina is simply superior in every single way. Her attitude exceeds all expectations. She is always fast and friendly. I love the tacos. They are always so good.
