I have orders with Barbs Bakery before. And didnt hesitate to get in touch with them again for my aunts 50th birthday Party. I called and left numerous messages. I emailed and was lied to by a gentleman called David that they would be reaching out to me. I personally went there because I couldnt et through to anyone, but the bakery was closed - due to their summer break. I wasnt the only one that was disappointed going there. There was no information on their voicemail that they were on vacation. I called again and left a message with a lady. She said that David had printed my email and she would relay the information for him to contact me. We are three weeks in and I still havent gotten any feedback. Went to a competitor and got an appointment the same day. This is a very shabby way of treating clients and j certainly wont recommend this establishment to anyone.

I called Barbs Bakery on Saturday around 1:45, looking to see if they had a cake in stock. The lady who answered the phone said she had a chocolate buttercream and two smaller cakes. I said I would take the chocolate buttercream and that I was on my way to her shop. She said that she closed in 15 minutes and asked me where I was. I told her and she said "I will wait for you!" Then she asked if I wanted anything written on the cake. I told her what I wanted and she said it will be ready. I arrived at the shop at 2:01 and the cake was all ready to go! It looked fabulous and beyond my expectation!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! for the beautiful cake for my sons 13th birthday party! I appreciate your customer service - being willing to wait for me to get there - and for having such a beautiful cake all ready! 5 stars to you!!!!!!!

this last friday was my wedding, we went ahead and ordered our wedding cake from barbs ( red velvet with cream cheese filling and butter cream frosting). i would just like to say that barbs is am amazing bakery and if i could give them more then 5 stars i would! i picked up my own wedding cake, they gave me a free dozen doughnuts and 10 dollars off with no tax! not only that, but the cake was to die for! i got so many compliments on it, it was just about gone when everything was all said and done! i will be going back to barbs every time i have an event:] THANK YOU BARBS BAKERY, you made my wedding day that much better!

For decades Barbs Bakery in Phoenix has been my #1 "go-to" for their carrot cake - just the right amount of icing. It is the best in Arizona! As a person who loves to bake from scratch, there are times I just need to buy a cake; that is when I turn to Barbs Bakery! I am super finicky about my buttercream (as I really prefer whipped cream topping), and Barbs Bakery doesnt disappoint with their proper buttercream icing! There are lots of bakeries that make pretty cake, with artsy fondant, but dont waste your time or money, as the actual cake is usually dry; but Barbs Bakery cakes and other baked goods also taste great!

I stopped in Barbs bakery this morning because I couldnt find anything except McDonalds or gas stations, and I refuse to continue buying CEOs new cars and vacation homes. I was greeted warmly by a young woman (who was not Barb; she passed away some time ago), and she helped me decide on a cheese danish. Oh My God. Amazing. I hope the people of Phoenix realize what a gem this bakery is, and decide to give their business to this beacon of quality, customer service, and damn fine pastries. Thanks Barb!

Very helpful & friendly staff. They know exactly what it means to satisfy their customers. From presentation of what they make from cakes to cookies, is excellent & tastes incredible. They definitely make the best cookies Ive ever had. Their cookies are just right the right softness I love & the frosting has just enough sweetness to it without being overkill. I love Barbs & always will.

I have an emotional attachment to Barbs Bakery. This has been the bakery my family has gone to for more than 25 years. Everything we have gotten is delicious! The pastries are our favorite. Pink champagne cupcakes are to die for as well! There is something about a locally owned bakery shop that makes it better. Barbs is the best in the Valley!

The donuts are incredibly yummy, and it was easy to order a custom birthday cake. The cake flavor was incorrect, but I was quickly refunded the full cake price after notifying them of their error. I gave a full 5 stars because I respect a business that is responsive and takes responsibility. I would return to Barbs again for more goodies.

Dude.. this place is ridiculously good. Definitely get the croissants!! Theyre fresh, flakey and visually appealing. By the way, the packaging is super cute if you order to-go. My co-worker surprised our team with a box of these pastries in the morning and we were incredibly thankful. Definitely a great place for breakfast!

Definitely the best quality cake Ive had in many years. The texture, the flavor, and the service from the staff is all top notch. My favorite is anything with custard in it, especially the pink champagne cake. They even dyed it blue for a baby shower when I needed it.

I have been going to this bakery for about 5 years now. It is the best bakery in the Valley. Everything I have tried here has been amazing. My favorite thing to order is the pink champagne petite fours. Totally worth the 40 minutes I have to drive to get there.

I received a german chocolate birthday cake from this bakery yesterday. My bf said the people were very helpful and friendly when he called to place the order and the cake is SUPER moist. Would definately go here for bakery items again.

Ya not pleased with the customer service. If you have a bakery shouldnt you know what a Chocoflan cake is ???? lol. Horrible customer service and I will be letting everyone know in the Biltmore area this place is a joke!!!!!

I shouldve written this review much sooner. They made my wedding cake, it was everything I asked for and more. The cake was more than delicious, beautiful and it was exactly what I wanted. Loved my wedding cake so much!!

Ive had two cakes from Barbs; carrot cake and devils food chocolate. If you like icing, youll love them . Id say they are 5 pounds of icing to 1 pound of cake and should be renamed: Icing with cake.

Some of the very best donuts in the area. Very much a no-frills place, but the donuts are always fresh and tasty! Line can vary greatly by time of day, but generally service is quick.

Been going to this place for some time. I love all of their yummy pastries and cookies. The pink champagne cupcakes are my absolute favorite. Always friendly every time I go in.
