Weve been going to Bo Bo China in Peoria for over 20 years. When we heard that there were new owners we made a point to check it out. To our surprise, the new owners have managed to take a great little place and make it better! Some of the menu items have changed and the specials are laid out differently but we couldnt be more enthusiastic about the changes. Theyve added brown rice (yay) which enhances the flavor of the new menu items. The food arrives so hot that we had to let it cool off before tucking in. The egg rolls are more like the traditional chinese restaurant recipe and are great. On our second visit I ordered "Bo Bo Chicken" which was fabulous -- served with fresh broccoli and LOTS of perfectly cooked chicken in brown garlic sauce. My husband got "Seafood Delight" which was also cooked perfectly -- shrimp, scallops, and lots of fresh (again perfectly cooked) vegetables: broccoli, petite corn on the cob, zucchini, mushrooms, water chestnuts (and maybe more) served .in a light garlic sauce. Im allergic to shellfish so I couldnt sample it but the smell was heavenly and my dh barely came up for air -- he enjoyed it so much. This was our second time at the "new and improved" Bo Bo China and, while I dont remember what we had the first time, I do remember that it was at least as good as this time -- which was why we decided to try it again and make sure it wasnt a fluke. Make no mistake, we came to be friends with Jean and her family and enjoyed our visits and meals there very much -- and the changes and updates the new owners have only made it better. I hope Jean enjoys her retirement and can spend more time with her family -- she wont have to worry that her legacy has been tarnished. Ive never reviewed a restaurant before (and probably wont again) but I just had to let people know that they can continue to eat at Bo Bo China - Peoria with gusto. An aside: the new owners have updated the take out containers removing the old styrofoam clamshells and replacing them with recyclable plastic containers with tight-fighting clear lids that keep the food nice and hot all the way home. Theyve also redone the kitchen area so that you can see your food being prepared. It is apparent that every item is prepared to order. Enjoy!

This has become a weekly staple in my family. The service has always been quick, friendly, and above par. The owners (a husband and wife team) always greet me with a big smile whenever I come in. He cooks, she cooks and does front of house, and they are the only ones there from open to close. Love their dedication. Now on to the food. The egg rolls are PERFECTION. I cant get enough of them. I tend to order different things each time I go, so I have tried a fair amount of the menu, and boy is it all good. I have yet to have an order I wasnt completely satisfied with. I think my only complaint is that they put a bit too many mushrooms in their hot and sour soup for my liking. Way to go, BoBo!!

place serves excellent Chinese cuisine. I have been coming here now for going on 3 years, and have never had anything less than satisfactory. I recommend the Pepper Steak Combo, terrific sauce and prime cuts of thinly sliced steak, along with fresh onions and bell peppers. This place comes close to the top of my Chinese food list here in the Valley. GREAT FOOD!

Loved this place. Looked forward to out traditional thursday dinner from here. Ordered today, under new ownership/management. Absolutely terrible! Food is cold. Recipe changes for the worst. Portion size is half what it was. Costs more. Called the manager and they could only offer 50% off the next meal. Not happening. I will NEVER eat at this place again.

They lied and said its still owned by that nice Chinese lady she just retired but they didnt know I live next to her and she told me it was a lie. There food is nasty now they made it into a fast food joint and raised prices I will never go back. This use to be the best Asian food in town not no more

Hate to say it but my go to Chinese restaurant in Phoenix is under new management/ownership and has been ruined. Ive been eating there for nearly 10 years and just had it after the ownership change today for the first time. Nearly inedible. Sorry to say, Ill never go back. Really sad.

Been going for over 20 years and the "new" Bo Bos was extremely disappointing. Jeans food was amazing. This new food tasted old and super generic. Tried it twice to be sure with my family and we all agreed its time to find a new favotite. BRING BACK THE OLD!

Good food. I would give it a 5 if the AC was better. Not sure how the cooks and servers can take it. God bless them. Wait....the AC has been fixed. Im editing this review Aug 6th 2017 to let you all know the AC feels a lot better. 5 STARS now.

Food was delivered quick but was soggy and bland.. they did nothing to compensate for the fact that the food was not good at all.. if I was eating there I would have sent it back into the kitchen and left.. very disappointed!!!!

I used to love this place I have been eating here for 13 years. They had amazing mandarin chicken. But now since its under new management its no longer on the menu. Sorry but I dont plan on going here again ever.

Food was disgusting. I got the Bobo chicken and it tasted like soggy chicken nuggets soaked in garlic. My husband said they were delicious two years ago. Never going here again.
