5.0 star rating 4/19/2016 Im not a coffee aficionado. Hell, I dont even really like coffee that much. Being one of the unfortunate few people in the world that is not sensitive to caffeine, it doesnt do a thing for waking me up, and most coffee tastes like distilled disappointment. Why bother with it then? Ive asked myself that many times over the years. Usually after finishing a freshly brewed cup of so-what. SoZo answered that question for me. We ended up here for the first time to attend a Music Makers Workshop performance. As a courtesy, I ordered coffee. Most groups booking performances are expected to produce a certain amount of revenue for the venue as part of their booking fee. A couple of coffees isnt too much to contribute... I had a Macadamia Nut Cappuccino. Everything Ive had since then has tasted... pedestrian. Im no critic, and Im certainly not so worldly that I can speak with authority about coffee or coffeehouses, but I do appreciate excellence. Life is too short to settle for the meh version of anything. There is nothing meh about SoZo. The people, atmosphere, and product they put in front of you is what makes life brilliant. Its out of our way, to be sure, but worth passing up every Starbucks and Coffee Bean along the way.

This was my first visit to SoZo Coffee and my last. I ordered a small Americano and the coffee was horrible. The espresso for this was either badly burnt or just bad coffee. The atmosphere and ambiance was nice, but it is a coffee house, and the coffee has to be of great quality. When I was asked if I would be using cream in my coffee, I said yes and was handed a Frys container of half and half. This should have been in a nice decanter like every other coffee shop offers. The staff was friendly, but I was expecting to see all the staff wearing at least a logo shirt, tucked in so I didnt have to see someones underwear when they crouched down to get supplies from a floor cabinet. I also saw the staff getting ice from a standalone catering heat/cool container. There should have been a stainless steel ice bin designed for this. I won’t be returning. I am ex chef and have helped build restaurants in the past.

I never really take the time out of my day to review a business unless it really impresses me, or really upsets me. I absolutely love Sozo coffee. The main reason that I love this little family owned coffee shop so much isnt because of the coffee or snacks (although their coffee AND their pastries are fantastic) but it is instead because of their business model, their impact on the community, and how kind the baristas and owners are. This business does so much in the community, and just continues to pour back into it whether that be through the many events that they host, one of their many charities that they are involved with, or just providing good coffee and good company to people. I know that I for one will continue to be a regular of this coffee shop, and I urge everybody to go check it out if they havent yet!

Dont go on Sunday unless you want to walk in on a church. Dont go in the morning because they wont have their breakfast sandwiches made. Thats right, they open before doing their morning prep work. Dont go for coffee unless you want to deal with someone with the attention span of a 4 year old. It doesnt take 15 minutes to make a drink when theres no one else in the store. Stopping mid drink to indulge another customers non-coffee preferences in drinks while making mine is a great way to tell customers never to come back because the employees cant stay on task. I guess I know why the only thing thats left is starbucks, its not their burnt coffee, its their SERVICE. SoZo could take a page from their playbook.

This is my new favorite coffee shop. Drink-wise, all I can really speak to is the Dirty Chai, but thats because once I ordered it I never wanted to try anything different. Its some of the best chai I have had. My wife has ordered some other things and been pleased, the hot chocolate especially. But its really the atmosphere and the staff that have sealed Sozos place in my heart. They are passionate about music, and Ive seen some outstanding songwriters and bands there on weekends. The twice-monthly open mic is the best in town, and being a lifelong open mic connoisseur, I mean it when I say it is run with more professionalism and love for music than almost any other.

Ive known Pastor Scott Morgan, owner, for quite a few years. I was really pleased to see him in SoZo Coffeehouse one day I stopped in for a drink. His staff is very friendly as well. There are a wide assortment of flavors and types of drinks imaginable! Their warm cinnamon rolls are out of this world! Pastor Scott has two services on Sunday at SoZo: 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM. There were a lot of younger kids hanging out there today when I was there which was good to see with Christian music in the background. It was a really unique, cool environment to be a part of. Comfy couches and chairs, too.

SoZo Coffee House has been my favorite coffee house since the first time I visited, they have just the right atmosphere to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, kind and friendly service and the customer base is genuine, they bring in good food and have exceptional live music during the week and throughout the weekends. I never really cared for the other stuffy coffee shops so what a delight to discover SoZo Coffee House…This place is comfortable, warm and welcoming. So go check them out, you’ll be glad you did. Went to Sozo last night to watch the bands that they had there. We really enjoyed the evening. The first band was a little loud, trouble regulating the instrument to voice levels but the band was pretty good. The second band, the Taylor Brothers were awesome. The ambiance at Sozo is nice. Comfortable although it was hot in there. The drinks I felt were pretty pricey.

Comfortable environment, good background music, and a fantastic staff! I usually only get black coffee when I go, but they have some great options if youre looking for something unique. I find it very easy to get work done in a comfortable seat with free WiFi. Also a great place for moms to bring the little ones to play in the kid room while they relax with a good drink.

Espresso drinks are ok but taste has a sour note, not smooth like the best are. They have teas but no essential black teas at all, i.e. no English Breakfast, no Earl Grey, etc. Biscotti are not biscotti at all--not twice baked so they are soft. Barest said this was their own take on it, which is Ok if people like that but should not call them biscotti. Nice atmosphere.

Fantastic service!!! Great atmosphere and some amazing local talent. My daughter and I first visited sozos in Dec for a class project she was doing and the young man performing there was absolutely phenomenal!!! Nick Cejka is his name. Check out sozos calendar to see when he plays. We make it a family outing now to see him play. Very nice place to relax and unwind.

First off - The people that work at SoZo are some of the most friendliest people you will meet. The ownership is amazing! Secondly - Wow! This place is nice. There is an amazing stage with a full band set up, sound system, mics, etc...Open mics and great talent often grace the stage. Thirdly (real word?) - The coffee and drinks are great. High quality stuff.
