Coffee was good. Customer service was horrible. The older gentleman whom I believe owns the shop along with his wife, they are always very sweet. There is a younger guy with longer hair that I believe is the son, was very rude and disrespectful to me while ordering. He was very quick, seems like he was not interested in answering any of my questions, did not speak when I walked in nor did he communicate much besides "what do you want?". Not sure if it was because I am black but everyone else that walked into this establishment, he had no issue speaking nicely to them- and they were not black. Needless to say, I am not going back which is unfortunate because I really enjoy supporting mom and pop shops. I refuse to patronize an establishment where the customer service is not great around the board. Its 2016, I refuse to wonder if my treatment was due to racism or not. Deuces Bergies. I will NOT be back.

I found this place while waiting for my table to be ready across the street at Snooze and Im very glad for the long wait on that day. Ive come back here several times. Its a great atmosphere with friendly baristas and quite a few options. If you want something not quite on the menu just be sure to ask and describe exactly what is youre looking for in your drink. There is live music that plays on a some days, so thats a nice bonus on the open patio. Its also a very dog friendly place and is open enough to where you can sit removed from someone that has a pet if you happen to not be dog friendly yourself.

I had been referred here by a friend of a friend. The coffee was standard for coffeehouse fare but there was a ample wait prior to ordering; mind u, it was Sunday morning so I knew what to expect. But the reason why this is a four star vs a three star is because of the ambiance. Outdoor seating in the middle of Gilbert with light acoustic performance accompaniment surrounded by trees makes this the most tranquil area in all of downtown. If u need a quiet place to go and read a book, this one offers coffee!!!

This place is awesome! Prices were fantastic and a bunch of options. My wife and I arent coffee drinkers but we enjoy a good tea when we get the opportunity. We were surprised by the atmosphere and we were surprised by the live music. He had a great voice and some awesome trickery with his guitar and looping the music and what not. This was a great choice for us after our dinner as part of date night. Plus we were able to support a mom and pop shop. Experience this place with confidence.

Bergies is a local shop in downtown Gilbert. Even though the building is old it is well kept. They have a beautiful yard where one can sit and drink their coffee which Bergies roasts on site. The coffee is bought by Bergies and roasted on site. The beans and roasts constantly change which is to the delight of coffee drinkers in the area. Great, local shop with great, freshly roasted beans, for a wonderfully brewed cup of coffee.

Best coffee I have had, ever. Really smooth tasting cold brew and hot black Costa Rican coffee (strait coffee is true coffee). So good I bought a couple bags of it for home. The type of coffee beans brewed changes each day or so in house, but the bags are a variety different regional beans per bag. Defiantly coming back to try another type of bean. Really wanting to hangout in the garden when the AZ Summer heat has dialed down.

I stop into BERGIES a lot, both to stock up on another pound of great fresh roasted coffee (I seek to try new blends all the time) as well as enjoy the ambiance of this historic old house and the down home friendless of the two brothers (Bruce and Brian) who own it! Ive introduced quite a number of friends to Bergies and they keep coming back. Its also a great place to meet friends, bring your laptop, and just chill out.

Really fantastic locally owned coffee shop. Friendly barista. I love the outdoor seating. It is right by busy Gilbert Road but Bergies has some good noise blocking landscaping and bunches of chirping birds. Comfy chairs, some with tables. Very relaxing. Wifi works great. I got a very nice camomile tea blend that Id recommend. Parking is available in the back and there is a pedestrian gate in the front as well.

Favorite Coffee House in the Phoenix Valley. I play music at Bergies as well as several coffee shops and they have by far the most unique atmosphere, and are the only coffee house I know of that roasts their own beans. They host a variety of unique events including coffee and dessert pairings, and trivia nights in the beautiful courtyard. If you live in the Gilbert area and enjoy coffee, this is a must try.

So many variety of coffee beans from round the globe. We have become loyal customers to this place. They roast very small batches of coffee to make sure their customers get the freshest roast. Also, they sell green beans. We took their introductory home roasting class using popcorn maker. It was really helpful to start practising with a very small batch.

One of the best outdoor patios in all of Gilbert! My mom likes meeting here for coffee and I dont mind because this place is adorable. The past two times Ive ordered the Brucee which tasted completely different both times. I dont mind though, the atmosphere and the company make up for anything lacking in my cup.

Ive been to Bergies 100+ times in the last few years. If youve had a negative experience, let the Bergesons know...they will address it immediately. This place has the best coffee in the valley. And way cheaper than some chains, and hipster-doofus places on the "north side". Great atmosphere, and hard working staff.

Best venue ever! Absolutely adorable outside garden: birds flying around from tree to tree. Outdoor heaters for chilly night. Power workers :: a few plugs with mire cozy seating indoors. Suggest waiting until after 5pm before coming here... Construction next door is a bit overwhelmingly loud.

This place is so cute and has some super tasty drinks. We actually come here everytime theres a long wait at snooze, across the street. But I love this place on its own too! Come by, grab a drink and a pastry and enjoy the outdoor patio. And on occasion, the live music. I strongly recommend it!

Quirky setting, reasonable prices, but best of all a real understanding of the right way to roast coffee beans. Theyre not afraid to offer light roast where the beans support it, unlike far too many gormet coffee places. Indulge yourself and you may never darken the door at a Starbucks again!

High quality coffee. Ive been a customer for years. They have so much variety. My favorites are the el salvador mexicao chiapas amongst all other varities. The owners are so nice and are great with customers. I love their cinnamon rolls also. I will support this business forever.

Coffee and atmosphere are great, Customer service not so much. Nothing like being left standing at the counter for several minutes while employees stand there chatting with each other. We finally got to order but made to feel like we were imposing and a bother to the staff.
