Not impressed at all. I ordered food last year prior to Thanksgiving to try it out before ordering for our large gathering. I ordered a smoked chicken, slab of ribs, pulled pork and all the sides. The smoked chicken was smoked but not cooked all the way - had to throw it away. The ribs seemed like they were boiled first prior to cooking - not the best ribs I have had in town like the other reviews. Seems like locals want a place to brag about yet they do not know what good ribs are like. The pulled pork wasnt as good as expected. I can make my own twice as good for half the price. The Best side was the beans. Good flavor and had nice chunks of meat. Aside from all that I have not gone back since. I was looking for places to take family here soon and saw all the false awesome reviews and figured someone had to post at least one real one.

I havent had a chance to dine in yet, but my boss bought lunch for us from Meat Boss and brought it back to the office. Wow, what a feast. Everything was fresh and delicious! I told my boss the flavors and freshness felt like I was at home eating my mamas cooking :) The brisket was some of the best Ive eaten! The baked beans were the best Ive eaten in many years! I was so impressed with the bread --- fresh, sourdough-type buns --- very scrumptious! I used the pepper/white sauce on my brisket --- most excellent! The potato salad was very good --- no fake, mass/bulk produced plastic taste! The mac and cheese was okay --- Ive definitely had better. I cant wait to dine in and try breakfast and other menu offerings :)

Wow.... I see why at the time of writing this that all 16 reviews were 5 stars. It is extremely rare to find a bbq places that sticks with the all wood smoke method, and it showed in the pefect smokey flavor of the meat. I tried all 4 kinds of meat and was very impressed. The white and spicy vinegar sauces we perfect! I even got a quart to go of the white sauce! The place is extremely clean and efficient. The owner/pit master even brings your order out to you when it is ready. I have eaten bbq all over the country and this is now one of my top places. I know I will be coming back for more next time I am around Mobile!

When you walk in you order at the counter. First choose your meat. I chose beef brisket (FYI, the chicken runs out fast-no pun intended). Then your bun. I had the sweet bread. Third your sauce. I chose the sweet and spicy, which wasnt very spicy at all. But still delicious. Lastly, choose your side. The mac and cheese were the perfect side for the brisket sandwich. I must admit Ive never been a big fan of BBQ sandwich. Tried them all across the country but this place changed my mind forever. It was an explosion of flavor in my mouth with every bite. To die for! If I could give it more stars I would!

This is the Bar-B-Q place they have beef, pork, chicken, and sausage. I had the chop beef sandwich it was the best chopped beef sandwich that Ive had since I was in Texas, my wife had the pull pork sandwich and it was wonderful as well as the Mac N cheese. The only bad thing that I have to say is the chop beef could be shredded thinner but thats just my opinion. If your looking for a Bar-B-Q place this is the spot it also has a great atmosphere. This place is my new go to for Bar-B-Q.

I was skeptical at first when I saw 5 stars for EVERY review but as soon as I took a bite of their pork sandwich I knew that the reviews werent lying! Very good BBQ! I had the sweet sauce on my sandwich but I tried the sweet and spicy on my boyfriends sandwich and it was equally as good! The Mac and cheese is the best Ive ever had and the banana pudding is to die for! Too bad we are on our way back home to Texas or Id make it a new spot to frequent!

This place is so awesome and I would eat there every single day except for one little bitty tiny thing. They arent open every day and are only open until 2pm so if you work you are out of luck until Saturday. My guess is the amount of business they do in those hours are tremendous so they more than make enough money. I have no idea why they do not stay open later. However the food is awesome, service is great and only the hours are the bad part.

The pig that gave its life for the smoked ham we just purchased at Meat Boss would be honored to have given his life had he known what the pit master of said establishment did with the offering. Amazing. I dont know if anyone could possibly equal the taste and quality of this ham. But I am absolutely sure no one could surpass it. I could say the same about the pulled pork sandwiches my wife and I enjoyed at Meat Boss last week. Fabulous.

This place was packed for lunch, and now I can see why! I had the pulled pork sandwich on the sweet bun with the sweet and spicy bbq sauce. The bun was crunchy and had a hint of sweetness that worked well with the slightly mild kick of the sauce. The meat was cooked very well with a crisp texture. It was delicious! Had a side of mac and cheese which was creamy and tasty as well. Was my first time going here, but wont be my last!!!

I can confidently say that Meat Boss is hands down the best BBQ joint in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. It should be top 5 in the state of Alabama. Great and friendly staff only add to the addictive food. Ive eaten brisket at a food network endorsed establishment in Texas and honestly Meat Boss wins. Their brisket needs no sauce, they use such good cuts of meat that it seasons itself. Their breakfast is also very good.

I am not a huge fan of southern BBQ, but this place is solid. The clever decor gives a fresh spin to your typical BBQ joint. If you go for lunch and dont know here to start just look at the left hand side and pick your options from 1-4. The pork butt was phenomenal, along with the sweet & spicy sauce. Their bread pudding is different that most, but still good (honey is used as sauce for this particular bread pudding).

Escaped Hurricane Irma and headed to Mobile, AL where we experienced some of the best barbeque. If only they could build another location down near us in Jupiter, FL!! We had the pulled butt and pulled brisket on sweet rolls and baby back ribs with mac and cheese & BBQ baked beans. Delish!! Well stop by again before we head back home after the hurricane disappears!

I was really surprised, it has been my experience that when a place gets on some tv show, the hype doesnt live up to reality. This place has some mighty fine vittles. Their version of white sauce is the best Ive tried anywhere. I look forward to going back and working my way thru their menu to find a favorite. Nothing fancy, just some mighty damn good food.
