I eat there often and find the food to be consistently good. I dont love their salad, so I go for the broccoli which is very tasty. Rolls are good. Steaks and the grilled grouper are always good and cooked the way I ask. Fried shrimp are not too heavily breaded and fresh. Service is good overall and prices are in line with this type of eating establishment. I have my Christmas parties there each year and we are all pleased with the service, food and atmosphere. Any complaint, no matter how small has always been promptly taken care of and these are very very few. I love the gift certificates with free coupons that are available on Black Friday only and use them throughout the year.

Kind of the only date-appropriate spot in town & a magnet for the blue-hair Sunday crowd, this place receives quite a bit of attention. Service is so-so, owners are not extraordinarily friendly, decor is dated & management mistakenly thought that swapping packaged bread sticks for a mediocre salad would step up the atmosphere. (I miss dipping those crunchy sticks in pats of butter.) Overall, I wouldnt go here if it werent for the fried crab claws. I could eat (and likely have eaten) a water tower full of em. They are the only reason I give this place four stars instead of two.

As we walked into the old mill we were not even greeted. The hostest just looked at us before asking how many. We had never been here before so were looking over the menu. We asked the waitress to give us a couple of minutes so we could look over the menu she came back 3 times within five minutes. The silverware was dirty. The food didnt even taste good. The dressing tasted like typical out of the bottle salad dressing. Once the food was brought the waitress did not come back once to check on us to see if we needed anything. Bad food, bad service for outrageous prices.

Because the salad, rolls, and service were good it gets 2 stars but should be 0 stars if solely by the meal. Crab claws are very bland. Seafood Lovers Platter (grouper, scallops, and shrimp) can not be mixed fried and broiled because the server said it upsets the cooks so I got it all broiled. At $22 I thought they would rather please their customers instead of there cooks but anyways it tasted like it was microwaved and no flavoring at all. I think they should hire better cooks and start sautéing instead of broil/microwave

If I could leave no stars I would. Horrible. The rolls are dried and horrible no amount of butter fixed them. Salad was yellow and nasty. Ordered new York strip with baked potato. They were decent but not spectacular. My boyfriend ordered grouper and shrimp they actually tasted freezer burned! Gross! The alcoholic beverage was very good but you get a small goblet sized drink for 7$. Totally not worth the price. My advice to you is to save yourself the headache and just go somewhere else!

The food is good, service is good, we had a party of 8 and the gratuity is added to it but i elected not to leave that much. I gave the waitress my dinner bill plus 7 dollars. The gratuity on bill was 12 dollars. She comes back and states she must have dropped some money because it isnt enough. I state that i was able to give what i gave her but she says it is already added in and most people pay what is on bill. That was my last time coming to the old mill.

Im not sure if all of the people that have rated this restaurant have ever eaten at a good place, but this is not one of them. For the price of your meal you will get a small portion of okay food, the only problems is, is the price is the same as high quality places. The atmosphere is horrible, Its poorly decorated and extremely loud inside. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.

For a restaurant that has been in Dothan for years with a great reputation I expected better. The salad was boring and plain,there yaest rolls were more like a biscutt,very dense. The shrimp and gritts I ordered were improperly cooked and very tasteless.My vegetable cabob had little to no flavor. It was very disappointing.

The food is superior to any chain in the area. The seafood menu is basic but fills every need. They serve Prime Rib everyday, not just Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The service was right on point, everything came out in a timely manner. All in all a nice, fairly priced place with somewhat out of date decor.

Was in for lunch & had the special. The burger on the menu looked good. The shrimp was tailless! I liked that. Service was good and friendly. No music so it was easy to have a conversation. Tip was added to large group. OK with me, but I usually tip more. Not very busy during lunch

Fresh food served in Dothan? Yes, please! Not only are the steaks the best in town (their homemade marinade is to DIE for, even on a baked potato), but they have fresh grouper as well. Service is friendly and the atmosphere feels like home. Definitely recommend!

What may be a lack of ambiance is more than made up for by the great service and even better food! They supported the troops worth a great veterans day special. I had the ribeye and grouper combo. I will probably get that again next time I go.
