we are from Vancouver but had appt in Longview and wanted to take Chinese food to our friends in Ariel,WA so we found this place, and ordered take out, The restaurant is very clean and new. The staff was very nice, they gave us hot tea while we waited for our food. We drove all the way to Ariel almost to Cougar and our food was still really hot when we got there. We had the low mien noodles they were fantastic, beef and broccoli again really good flavor, BBQ pork was tender and tasty, pork fried rice lots of goodies in it great flavor, we also had the orange chicken, the chicken was packaged separate from the orange sauce and I was grateful since the orange sauce was pretty plain, it was OK when added to the chicken but not that great. They gave us a free appetizer because our order was so BIG! We got pot stickers they were awesome and the sauce that came with them was superb, I just added some of that to the chicken and it was fantastic, The portions were decent, all that food fed 8 people and we still had enough left for puppy treats and lunch for two people the next day, Not to bad for $50.00 worth of food, I will definitely go and eat here again! Next time I am trying the Sesame Chicken!

Me and my fiance went here a few weeks ago and the service was horrible. I have heard a lot about this restarunt being the best, and its far from it. We got seated right away, but got ignored for about 20 minutes by the waiters. When we finnally got to order, the waitress kept trying to turn my fiances menu page as if to rush him and to tell him what to pick. He was just taking a few seconds to ask her some questions about the dish and she was short and quite rude with every answer she gave. When we got our food, 22 minutes after we ordered, (note we have already been here for about 20 minutes to begin with.), the rice smelt of burnt peanut oil. I could smell it as soon as she was walking towards us with the dish. So I just chose not to eat that.... Than the shrimp was mostly bread and was still doughy. Long story short.... I do not think I will ever come back here. Let alone reccomened this restarunt. I wish my visit was as great as others have mentioned. But that was not the case.

Subpar food served at a sloths pace by rude and disconnected staff. I was served my entree 10 minutes before the 2nd person at my table was served. We had to ask the wait staff if it was coming and were rudely dismissed with the wave of a hand, after which several other entrees at other tables came out 1st. We had to ask multiple times to get a refill on hot tea. The food (we had combos 8&10) were average. Sopping wet broccoli beef and scant sauce on the sweet and sour chicken. Good chicken and I liked the crab puffs. They give nice big servings. Too bad the staff ruined the experience; getting our check taken care of was just as slow and they continued the same demeanor. We will NOT be returning.

Were not from the area, but based on how crowded this little restaurant is, Id guess its a local favorite. We visited on a Saturday evening around 7. Several people had referred us here, so when we found ourselves in the area we tried it. Large portions, decent food (not going to be a favorite, but better than a lot). Average pricing - dinner between $11 and $14 for most dishes and combos. Its crowded and noisy, but we didnt wait long for a table and the food came really fast. The service wasnt what I would consider friendly, but I had two cranky toddlers, so perhaps thats not the norm.

This place is well worth the drive. We came down from Longview on a fairly regular basis because nothing up there could compete. Lunch dish combos are enormous - plan on taking half of it home with you for later. Calling in for pick-up is easy, and they usually have your food ready to go pretty quick. Its location is so unassuming, right there off the highway, but dont judge too quickly. I dont know how many times we drove by here before we stopped in and were pleasantly surprised and excited to return to try more of the menu. Weve moved from the area, and miss being able to visit frequently.

Stopped for a visit on the positive reviews on Google. However, we were sorely disappointed. Waiters were inattentive and not very communicative. Prices were not worth the quality of the food despite the huge quantity. Entrees were not authentic and made for the Western palate. The sweet and sour pork felt as if the pork was deep fried and dumped with a bland red color sauce. The garnishes were kept to the minimal resulting in tasteless dishes. Cannot recommend as a "Szechuan, Mandarin, Cantonese" restaurant as described on their website.

Lucky Dragon is a terrific restaurant and easily competes against any chinese restaurant in the Vancourver/Portland area. The owner (Michelle) and her staff are undeniably the finest around. The food, atmosphere and prices are unbelievable! I work at a steel plant nearby and our crews prefer the Lucky Dragon Chinese meals over anything else we can get for them for a special treat. It has become a stopping spot for the locals as well as commuters traveling through Kalama on Interstate 5.

This is a great little spot hidden away in Kalama, WA. Well not too hidden since you can see it from I-5.. But who would ever think that you could fine such great Chinese cuisine in Kalama? It is true. We have eaten there many times and never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious. The portions are generous but the prices are reasonable. They have a large selection on the menu. The service is fast and friendly. Definitely worth the detour.

Rate hike for lunch because of Valentines. Could not order off the lunch menu resulting in each plate being $4 more. Waitress was very rude to a member of our party who was 10 minutes late joining us. She told her to "Hurry up and decide. Im waiting on you". The servers stand around in a group speaking their language and are not attentive to their table and very rude when asked a question. Fried rice was not warm. I might even call the health department.

After waiting 30 minutes (i was told 10 to 15 minutes) for my food. (We were on a time line due to a road trip and getting to our next destination) The front desk people brought me my food. The price was decent but the food was horrible. We got the orange chicken and chicken fried rice. Another customer whom ordered after us with more food received his first. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. After eating the orange chicken my husband got sick.

I wouldnt have believed it myself if someone had told me there was good Chinese food in Kalama… But to my surprise and delight this place is awesome. As with any small town Chinese restaurant stay away from the combo meals, they are mostly fried chicken, noodles and rice. For the real deal order ala carte off the last page of the menu, nothing is over $14 and most are under $10 and with rice they will all feed three hungry people or more.
