My wife and I loved this place. We spent the weekend in SLO for our honeymoon and we wanted our last dinner to be a memorable one. After the terrible experience of eating at the resort we stayed at, we asked some locals where would be a good, romantic place to eat. After looking at reviews from several restaurants, we chose the Olde Port Inn. We called and made reservations and informed them that we were celebrating our honeymoon and we wanted the best seat in the house. When we got there they the congratulated us on our wedding and were very accommodating allowing us to choose any seat we wanted in the restaurant. Within seconds of being seated we were served water. Within a few minutes we were served our drinks and ordered the appetizer platter. The platter consisted of crab cake, two types of calamari and cheese stuffed prawns wrapped in bacon. Everything was was cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly, and the sauces were amazing. For dinner we chose the fresh Halibut and the ginger wasabi Salmon. Again everything was cooked to perfection and flavorful. Even the steamed veggies were cooked to perfect texture and had a great seasoned flavor. The portion sizes were quite large and the service was one of the best we had ever experienced. Our server Joanna even took pictures for us. We asked for boxes for our leftovers and they showed up within seconds. During our visit several employees came over to congratulate us on our special occasion. After thinking that our last dinner in SLO couldnt get any better, they told us our desserts were complimentary. We had the butterfinger ice cream pie, which they make fresh there in the restaurant, and the caramel cheesecake. Both were amazing. The food, service, ambiance, and scenery was definitely worth the price of the meal. We highly recommend this place and plan on returning next year for our anniversary.

Loved the whole dungeness crab and swordfish! Huge portions, especially with the sides. We also tried the bacon-wrapped stuffed prawns, which were tasty but didnt live up to the hype of their name (the bacon was very, very crispy). The see-through tables offered a unique view (seals and birds underneath!). The whole pier is gorgeous, really, and the window views were just as breathtaking. Our waitress second-guessed my boyfriends drink order even though he was clear about what he wanted (she insisted ginger beer is only a mixer and brought out a "taster sample" to make sure it was what he wanted, though he stated so explicitly) and was much more attentive to the larger family parties than the two of us. We had a long wait before receiving the check. Id go again because the seafood was delicious, but Id go at a different time of day so that there werent as many large families dining too.

We had very poor service. It was a week night and the restaurant was not full so there was no reason for slow service. I had to ask for water twice and when they brought it it had a sugar wrapper in it. The server didnt come back until he brought the bill so I went the whole meal without water. My chicken was rubbery, not even sure how you do that. My husband had fish which tasted fine but was not worth the 34$ price tag. When the bill came, I didnt even want to pay. We paid over 60$ for sub-par food and lousy service :(. The location is awesome, wish everything else was.

Walked in here on a rainy Sunday afternoon and said hello but recieved nothing in return. No greeting, servers and bartenders were looking down at their phones. Same when we left and said thank you...Absolutely nothing. The space is really interesting and dynamic on the pier with glass viewing windows to the water below and a great big window to the coastline and breakwater. Service was ok, but the food was nothing to write home about. Clam chowder was not good and came out looking like it came from a can, pretty flavorless. Definitely room for improvement.

Went in to check out the place, and ordered dessert. Waitress had no time for us. Ordered our pie didnt even ask us if we would like something to drink, when she came back with our order we asked if we could have coffee, left came back with coffee then after that we got the bill. Didnt ask if wed like a refill on our coffees. I guess when your not a party of 6 with the big bucks you get treated as if your 2nd class. Guess we took up to much space even if the place wasnt busy. She certainly couldnt be bothered with our order thats for sure.

Great food, great service. The rolls came out hot, the Fishermans plate was great (calamari was done perfectly), and the chowder was definitely not from a can, as I saw in another reviewer suggest. The co-owner served us, and she was great. Beer prices were very, very fair ($5 for a pint of Sculpin), the non-seafood prices were totally reasonable ($17 for spinach ravioli spiced with vegeta that the owners brought back from Romania), and the seafood prices were fair market considering good seafood is not cheap. I would definitely return.

We werent greeted when we walked in. It was a very unprofessional restaurant. My husband was referred to as "dude" by the manager. The service was very poor. We couldnt get a "your welcome" out of any of the servers when we said thank you. Food is very overpriced. We ordered fish & chips for $ 16..we werent told the specials are asked if we wanted desert. The overall service and attitudes was very uncalled for. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Its not worth the business or your time for what it costs to drive out there.

This is a very fine restaurant with exceptional Seafood that is fresh. It is literally on the end of the pier. They have dining with Windows looking out in kind of a sunroom type thing. If you like seafood this is a wonderful place to come. It is not a economical restaurant it is fairly pricey due to the type of food they serve in the location. I would not call it a fancy luxury restaurant or a romantic special spot but it is a nice restaurant in a special location with great Seafood. Good for groups also.

What a letdown! I ordered the fish tacos. When I think Mexican Food, I think "color," "taste," "red," "green," "fresh." I got none of that. The tacos looked like thick white clam chowder on a tortilla; overcooked white fish scrambled in white cheese, on white tortillas, with a huge glop of white sour cream. The most unappetizing meal Ive had in months. And not cheap! Id prefer Long John Silvers! This place has gone downhill from the charming, delicious eatery of the past.

Poor service... Waited at least 10 minutes for our server once we were seated, our iced tea glasses ran dry at least 3 times for about 10 minutes each time, never asked if we wanted more bread and butter. Took 20 minutes to get our salad, main course took an hour after that! Food was so-so. Were from Vegas so were used to a certain standard of service at places where the entrees are $30 each. And its sad when we can get tastier seafood in the desert than at the end of a pier!
